The management and staff are professionally caring and ensure that her physical and emotional needs are attended to in an efficient and timely manner. The food is excellent and drinks are provided constantly throughout the day. Their activities officer ensures that they have plenty to do and provides stimulating activities throughout the week.
When mum was admitted to Fair Haven we were very surprised that it was a care home, it was so homely. The staff were great, they always found time to answer questions we had or if a problem needed sorting. The home was always clean and didn't smell (some homes seem to have an odour). The rooms were always clean and tidy. Mum seemed happy but due to dementia, we knew she wasn't always right in what she said. The food looked and tasted great and like mum, there was always someone who needed help and it was given. I would like to thank all those who helped mum for the last 4 months of her life.
An excellent care home and they looked after my mum really well. She had Dementia and the care never faulted. The food was brilliant. They looked after us as a family throughout her time there.
Caring home with good staff who respect the resident in every way. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely residents. Friendly and approachable members of staff. Helpful and kind,
We have always found the staff kind and very understanding when we have phoned. When visiting my uncle they have always shown compassion and kindness to him and have always treated him with great dignity. We know he has received excellent care over the 2 1/2 years he has been here and especially over the last few months when he has been really poorly. A very big "thank you" to all the staff who cared for him.
My elderly friend was cared for, for 2 years up to his death. No one could have been looked after better, he was always clean and well dressed, right up until his death, and aftercare from the staff was wonderful. I would recommend this home to anyone.
My husband was resident for only three weeks but had superb, care, attention and kindness.
My mother-in-law was here before her health deteriorated and we were delighted with her care. Now my mum has had to have care due to a broken hip and dementia. All the carers are up-beat and positive, showing respect and great care to each residents, not matter how annoying they can be! Mum is full of praise for the care and the kindness shown to her. We can visit any time and are made most welcome. The food is excellent and plentiful, my mum is a fussy eater, but is eating everything.
I visit a client at Fair Haven Care Home who I have known for a short while before he moved there. My comments are that I've been very impressed with the high level of individual care he has received. I am in no doubt this has contributed to is longevity and happy demeanour.
My mother has dementia and no longer speaks, is unable to write or walk, the people looking after her are very caring and helpful. Any problems they always let me know, as mum can no longer talk or feed herself the carers have to and are very patient, they do a brilliant job, I cannot praise them enough.
The overall care that my father received is excellent. The amount of activities are a bit limited by the layout of the rooms, there is no open space for movement. The care staff are compassionate, patient and kind. My father has been here for 3 and a half years and I have no complaints.
I often pop into Fair Haven to have a chat with the residents. Lovely atmosphere. Nice staff and manager.
