View Full Details of Home MeadowEveryone is very kind and helpful, they all care for each resident. Nothing is too much trouble.
My Mother was cared for from 2021 -2024 with kindness and good care from the minute she arrived to the day she died. The staff are all very kind and caring. They have time for a chat when needed and look after the family in the same manner. Everyone in the care home is included and encouraged to join in. Home Meadow is a lovely place, but despite needs a little tender loving care. The staff and residents are happy.
My husband spent a week's respite at Home Meadow. He was extremely well looked after and cared for by lovely staff. He was very happy during his stay on this occasion and I commend the manager and admin. Managers who were efficient and organised.
My wife spent three years at Home Meadow, suffering from Alzheimer's disease. She quickly settled into life at Home Meadow, despite a Covid lockdown. Communication with the staff has been very good, and any care concerns have been dealt with promptly and honestly. The staff have always been courteous and professional, and the low turnover of staff and lack of the need for agency staff suggests that it is a happy and rewarding place to work. I would recommend Home Meadow unreservedly.
Mum lived at Home Meadow for the last 9 months of her life; with severe anxiety and dementia. She was always cared for with compassion, kindness, patience and warmth. Due to the level of her dementia, Mum was unable to take part in all the activities on offer. However, the delightful activities carers got to know her well and tried to involve her as much as possible, taking photographs for us on those occasions. The home is well run with good communication between the manager and her staff. Mum needed to eat a soft diet but all the food looked good and the other residents seemed to enjoy it. Mum was transferred here from a newer and much more luxurious home in the area. Home Meadow is smaller and older with fewer facilities but the personal care she received here was much better than in the more expensive care home. When Mum died during the night the staff on duty were absolutely lovely, also looking after me with great kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you to all at Home Meadow.
We came here for a brief stay following a spell in hospital. Loving and attentive care was showered upon us by all the staff in attendance at the time. We love the multi-lingual and multi-cultural atmosphere wth a common aim to attend to the residents who appear quite content. The food is savoury and varied. All in all, a pleasant stay putting us on the road to recovery.
All seems to be efficiently run and very friendly.
Home Meadow pulled out all the stops to help me when my mother, who was 97, suddenly needed 24-hour care. All the staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. They are very supportive to the residents and family alike. They made a real effort to help my mother settle even though she was finding the move from her bungalow difficult.
The staff are very caring, the centre is clean and tidy with a small pleasant garden. My mother needed a high level of care and received the attention she needed. Staff were very kind and compassionate to me in her last days.
We were so impressed by the level of kindness and professionalism the manager and her team demonstrated for our aunt. Thank you for moving so fast and doing so much above and beyond what we were expecting. From the moment we arrived to view until the moment we left with our aunt we were treated with kindness and she with dignity.
The care that my mother is receiving is exemplary. All of the staff carry out their duties with compassion and complete kindness. I could not think of a safer and more caring place for my mother to be a resident in.
I have always found the care home staff to be very caring, helpful, compassionate, and thorough. The care that my mother-in-law is receiving is without doubt the absolute best that we could have ever hoped for.
Thank you for looking after my mum for this past year before her death on 26th July 2023. The home was just great. The carers and staff were all lovely people and Mum had a few favourites, but was happy with all her care. She particularly loved the food, especially breakfast. She was, at first, able to play the piano. Thank you for accommodating her early morning rising walking and sitting in the courtyard - she especially enjoyed her coffee in the courtyard.
A huge thank you to the friendly, kind, patient and professional staff. I was so impressed with the care my dad received in his latter months. The warmth and care live up to the idea written on the corridor 'our residents do not live in our workplace, we work in their home'. The food was of good quality and Dad was treated like an individual and different things were done to make him happy like church services and animal visits. Obviously, it was the saddest time for me but the kindness given to me by the carers when Dad passed away has made this time easier to bare. Home Meadow care home staff you are lovely people. A well organised, well placed and professional care home with high standards.
My father was looked after in a first manner by the staff at Home Meadow, Taft. The staff were always cheerful, nothing was too much trouble. Our family were always made welcome when we visited Dad. Dad has always enjoyed his good and the food at Home Meadow was always very good. Dad's room was very spacious and always kept spotless. He spent most of the day in the day room where he enjoyed watching the activities.
We cannot praise Home Meadow care home highly enough for the wonderful care and attention given to our late father. Between us, we would visit five or six times a week and saw first-hand the care and devotion given to the residents. Everywhere was always clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and smiling. It's home and the food is exceptional.
Father was placed in the home after hospital admission. Very independent man so was concerned but he needed the care due to dementia and mobility issues. He has been there for ten weeks and is very content, looks very well - better now than previously and eats and drinks well. Staff are very good and helpful and work continuously to care for the residents.
The manager and all the staff have welcomed my dad with care, dignity, compassion and laughter as he has settled into life at Home Meadows. Everyone always has a smile and a welcome greeting whenever I visit. They are looking after my dad's health needs in an outstanding way and he has a clean and comfortable room. He is enjoying the lovely food and all activities and socialising provided.
The care home is small and friendly. Carers are sympathetic and helpful but rather hampered by routine and form-filling. They always respond well to requests to help but do not always display initiative when personal care, for example, need attention. The laundry service can be something of a disaster - items go there never to be seen again.
From day one, mother had care and kindness shown to her. All carers were very helpful with making her comfortable and all needs catered for. It was appreciated by Mum and the family. It was nice to know Mother was in good hands when we were not there.
