View Full Details of Manor FarmMy son has been at Manor Farm for 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days now! His transition and settling period have gone well. The staff have been great helping us both to adjust to our new lives. He is enjoying the activities provided and interacting well with staff and the other residents.
My son lives at Manor Farm and thankfully he loves it. I know this as after a home visit, he is always very happy to return. He is very well cared for by the staff who have taken the time to get to know him and his idiosyncrasies. He is always clean as are his clothes and room. He has a varied week of activities ranging from horse riding to sailing to working on a farm one day a week. Staff are also happy to take him on holiday to his favourite places. Manor Farm is well led by the new management team who know my son very well. I am s very demanding parent, I am pleased to say that they are always happy to accommodate me and my questions. I also receive a monthly report.
My son is a complex young autistic man who also has other impairments. The staff at Manor Farm treat him with dignity and kindness. They know what makes him happy and provide an environment in which he can thrive. He is always smart and well turned out. He is encouraged to be independent in looking after himself. His room is always clean and tidy. He has a full week involving horse riding, trampolining, exercise and work experience on a special needs farm. They are also looking at a possible college course. They also take him on walks in local parks. We receive monthly reports on our son which details his progress in various aspects of his life. We also have access to professionals through the home should we need help with him. I would very much recommend this very well run home and commend the management and staff for the care and attention they pay to our son's personal growth.
Most importantly my son like going to Manor Farm. The staff are friendly and appear to treat my son with kindness and respect. The communication could be improved on, I would like to know more about the activities my son takes part in and generally how he's getting on. There is also a bit of an issue with clothing going missing. Overall I like Manor Farm and the staff.
Another outstanding year for my Son. As a result of the excellent nurturing and positive ethos of the home and the staff, my Son has been happy and motivated to gain confidence and learn new skills. My Son remains safe and well cared for and I have no concerns about his welfare and health. Any concerns I have are responded to quickly and the home is happy to collaborate and work in partnership with the family to achieve best interest outcomes for my Son. A really well managed and progressive facility.
The management staff and everybody are always caring and approachable. The resident is always included in their care and plans as are the resident's relatives. Our Son's needs and care has resulted in his happiness and settled in wonderfully. Everybody at Manor Farm and the manager have done everything possible to achieve this result. We cannot thank everybody enough.
My son moved to Manor Farm in August 2014. He took some time to settle and build relationships with staff which has always been the case for him. He was put on to meds that year and since then he has, on the whole, been really calm and happy. Staff support him well and he has a good timetable with lots of activities which he enjoys. When he comes home, which is every other weekend, he is happy, clean and well-fed. He is chatting more than he ever has which is great.
Manor Farm is a well organised yet very homely environment for its residents. The staff are very professional but also friendly to residents and family. Each resident is assessed and a programe to suit their needs is in place. A positive example of how to run a care home!
My son is very happy at the home and enjoys being in the company of other people his own age. He gets to try different activities. They are willing to try new things with him that I think he'll like. He is well looked after and has a nice room.
My son displays behaviour that suggests he is enjoying his stay at Manor Farm. He is physically well and happy and seems fond of his carers as they are of him. He is an active person and his daily outings reflect this. I feel that the placement is ideal for him and hope that Manor Farm continues his lifestyle in the current mode.
My son has been a resident for almost three years and the home is very much like a second home for us and him. Manor Farm staff are caring, positive and consultative. they really follow a person-centred approach towards all the residents. The standard of support and encouragement given to each individual is exceptional and the quality and delivery of provision are superb. Highly recommend!
I have found Manor Farm to be very helpful to my daughter and her family giving us all support over some tricky times whilst adjusting to staff and medication, showing compassion on all occasions.
My son loves spending time at Manor Farm. the staff are lovely. (There are some staff members that we are yet to meet). The surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful. My son is always happy and relaxed when he arrives home or we pick him up.
My son spent one week respite at Manor Farm his week was fully active to his abilities, including swimming, disco, bowling, walks, trampolining, washed the van and helped in the kitchen, doing his washing and assisted personal care. The staff were very responsive to my son and the care he received was second to none.
