View Full Details of Field House Care HomeMy mother has been a resident at Field House since March 2024 and has and is so well looked after, whenever myself or my son visit mum is always so happy and very well turned out, mum also says how much she enjoys being there and that the food is always good, she also enjoys the interaction with others and the many trips out.
My mother has been in Field House for over a year now and we are always made welcome when we visit her. The home is clean and brightly decorated and doesn't have the usual smell of an old people's home. When she went into Field House it was only intended to be for a couple of weeks respite care but she settled in so well we made the decision to leave her there rather than move her closer to us. The choice of food always looks delicious and we have been offered to stay and eat with our mum on occasions. The staff make a real effort to keep the residents entertained and mum especially likes the animals that periodically visit the home.
My friends, who are a married couple, share a room and now consider this their home. It took a few months for them to adjust but with the help and care of the staff they are as happy as anyone can be in this situation. The Activities Coordinator is especially to be commended for his commitment to the residents providing activities for the residents and has taken my friends to medical appointments. He has been extremely helpful to me too which I appreciate. All the staff are clearly dedicated to providing good care for all residents which can be very challenging. Well done to all at Field House.
My mum has been in Field House coming up to 2 years the staff are always welcoming. The home is a comfortable friendly environment and I know most of the staff on a first name bases which is nice. I have found all staff are attentive and caring, there are a good variety of activities and social events for the residents, excellent personalised care plan, also respect for residents' dignity, prompt medical attention, clean facilities, and a strong focus on resident well-being and happiness.
I think they look after my brother very well and keep us informed about his care.
I cannot fault this care home, for friendliness, helpfulness and just being there for me as my mum is in here. Absolutely brilliant, top quality and a lovely homely feeling, thank you from the lad who helps one of the staff with all the games and talking to my granddaughter every day to the actual manager who puts on normal clothes to come in our power to talk to her son, always sees me on the way in giving me a small let me know how my mum is and if any problems at all she'll be on the phone let me know. But at the moment in time fingers crossed, my mum is absolutely brilliant, it's through these people at this home, thank you very much indeed.
Field House is always clean when I visit and the staff are welcoming and smiling. My relative is well cared for and all needs are met. Any questions I have are answered fully by staff and management, including any queries by email. My relative is new to Field House and my relationship with Field House has been for a brief period however I am happy that my relative is in their care.
Friendly welcoming caring staff who treat my dad like he is in an extended family environment. The manager and staff are so approachable and are always there to give extended support and advice whenever needed. Would highly recommend Field House Care Home.
My relative has lived at Field House for almost a year now. Before she moved in we were shown around and introduced to the staff, we knew from then we were happy to let her move in. We can visit any time unannounced, everything is no trouble for the staff. Our relative is always clean and enjoys the many trips and activities on offer. The home is always clean and the food is very good with a varied menu.
My mother has been in the care home for nearly a year. In that time we have been nothing by impressed with everything about the home. Always a good menu to choose from, always clean and the care and support from the staff are second to none. Activities have many options which vary throughout the year. I would highly recommend Field House Care Home.
The care home is gradually being updated and is looking a lot cleaner and up to date, but when visiting there should be a designated area away from other residents where visitors can get a coffee or tea from a machine. All residents are still sitting in lines staring at the TV or just looking about. Although I am offered tea or coffee from staff which I always decline as it's cups that residents use day after day and residents have entered the kitchen looking for food or food has been left on the top that a resident hasn't eaten and waiting for them to eat The staff are always polite, but when asking a question sometimes I feel they don't understand or they just say yes and not actioned. Financial expenditures for residents I keep asking for monthly reports, which still doesn't happen there should be a portal we can access
Whenever I go in to visit my mum the staff are lovely very friendly if I have any questions there's someone I can ask at any time. My mum is settled and seems happy. Overall the home is clean and very homely.
Very caring and helpful staff lifts could be cleaner but overall satisfactory. My sister seems happy and enjoys the food very much.
My father-in-law is in the home and he is well looked after, all of his needs are met and they go above and beyond to help him with his vascular dementia battle. He is a very shy man and the staff will always try to get him involved and enjoy the varied great activities in the home and going on trips out. The care and love given to him are amazing and the home is such an improvement in the last year and a half with great work from the manager and the team, always look forward to updates in the newsletter.
I have to say the care home is operating much better, they are making improvements in the care home, the staff are doing a great job and always available to help. The manager is doing a great job, any problems I have I talk to the manager and she is always available to help and resolve the problems promptly and with a smile. In general, everything is much better, I feel the love. Many thanks to the staff for their help and support and love.
I visited my uncle this week, he was clean and smartly dressed. Staff as usual were friendly and offered us refreshments. It's currently being redecorated and carpets are being replaced with vinyl flooring. Lots of photos of residents doing activities adorn the walls in the entrance hall and all have happy faces. The activities and outings offered are fantastic and all resident's needs/abilities are considered. Staff are pleasant and always willing to assist with queries and I find all staff are approachable. I would recommend Field House for your loved ones.
My Father suffers from advanced dementia and sadly had to go into the home for respite in August 202O in the middle of Covid. The home over the past three years has gone through many changes, all for the better. They have a permanent member of staff who organises and carries out lots of activities for the residents and is very proactive and an asset to the home. The love care and support not only for my father but for myself as a relative is outstanding. Dad is now end of life and it is being dealt with in a calm and respectful manner. All the residents are treated with respect and as a relative, we are always welcomed in the home with a cup of much-needed tea.
At the start of Covid my mum was placed in Field House Care Home. I knew nothing about the home as social services thought this would be an ideal place for her. Well, how true they were. I couldn't be happier with the care and compassion my mum receives from all the staff. They are all attentive and speak to the residents with a very caring attitude. The cleanliness is exceptional. My mum says how good the food is and often enjoys a bacon sarnie. The activities are very good and stimulating for the residents. I would certainly recommend Fieldhouse to everyone who is considering a home for their loved one.
Both my Mother and Father used to be residents in Field House and both of them received a superb quality of care from staff and all of their needs were taken into consideration. Staff would always say hello and greet you with a smile whilst we were visiting our family members and nothing was too much trouble. On our regular visits, the staff would always be attending to residents in a kind and attentive manner and respecting their individual needs. With regards to the cleanliness of Field House it was always clean and tidy during Covid they could not have done anymore to keep every one including residents staff and visitors.
My mother has been at Field House for over a year now. Initially in a “step-down assessment bed” following discharge from Hospital. However, following an unsuccessful trial at home, she chose to go back there permanently (even though it was a number of miles from her home town) because she liked, trusted and felt safe with the care staff looking after her. Since being there her care needs (both physically and mentally) have increased and the input from the staff has adapted according to meet these needs. I have been kept up to date with her condition and felt involved, which has been very important to me because I live a number of miles away. Throughout this difficult past year, I feel the staff have coped amazingly with all the challenges of the pandemic. I have always found both management and care staff informative and approachable and most importantly I feel they “care” for my mum. She is safe and being well looked after and when I visit I see this first hand.
