View Full Details of Woodspring HouseThe staff at Woodspring are amazing and I feel very lucky that we were able to get our mum a room there. The carers are always trying to come up with new ways to entertain the residents and they have a friendly compassionate approach to both their residents and their families. Also, the manager is easy to talk to - especially when the situation of dealing with an elderly relative is not always easy. I’m very happy with the level of care Mum receives. Thank you to all at Woodspring House.
An exceptional care home, attending to my mother’s needs with care and dignity. The staff are always kind and attentive, and there is always a wide range of activities. It is always clean and tidy, and our mother had been very happy there.
My mum was lucky enough to have been a resident of the wonderful Woodspring House for two years and I am so glad that I managed to find such a vibrant, happy, safe place for her to live her life following a debilitating stroke. The fact that I live some distance from Norfolk made finding the right place for Mum even more important and I have found the staff, and in particular the manager incredibly helpful in helping me to maintain a meaningful relationship with Mum via video calls, thanks to one carer in particular, and their very busy social media page throughout her time there. The quality of care provided was superb whilst being delivered with compassion and professionalism. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the trust between Mum and the people looking after her was self-evident. From the busy calendar of activities available to residents to the lovely home-cooked food, Woodspring delivers on every front. No problems, just solutions.
I am very happy with the care that my brother has received in Woodspring House and he appears content there. The manager and staff are always very helpful when I phone to speak with him or have a query.
Amazing care home, very welcoming made my grandma feel like it was her own homely space with a lot of freedom, loves to join in with the activities and thoroughly enjoys the days out on the bus with everyone. Couldn't recommend Woodspring House enough! the staff are all very helpful nothing is too much. home is kept amazingly clean at all times.
What a fantastic setting for a care home. The staff, all of them, have so much compassion and affection for all the residents which is shown on every visit I have made. I couldn't recommend Woodspring enough. Just take a look at their social media page and see the interactions with the residents it speaks for itself.
Mum has now been a resident for 6 years, she has settled well and is incredibly well looked after. Given her Alzheimer's disease, the care team are kind, caring and patient beyond words. Any family member will feel some guilt at having to place a parent into care; Mum could not be in a more attentive, safe and caring environment than Woodspring House which is totally reassuring for us as a family. Thanks.
Mum was a resident at Woodspring for approximately 18 months. Up until her death there on 17th March 2023. She was difficult at times then calmed down as the dementia deteriorated. The staff supported us as a family and Mum as a resident. She enjoyed activities, days out music etc etc. We are so pleased with the care Mum received whilst at Woodspring.
My mother has been a resident at Woodspring House Care Home for four plus years now. The care and support the staff have provided extends way above and beyond that which we pay for. The staff take care of my father, who is not a resident, but a daily visitor and helped me personally when we encountered some very tricky emotional scenarios around my mother becoming a resident. I would highly recommend Woodspring House. They have always been there for my mother, my father and myself. Thank you.
Our mum moved into Woodspring House in February 2021 and from the very start was made to feel very welcome and cared for. All the residents seem to be treated with respect, dignity and kindness. The staff are always aware of the needs of the residents and always have time to talk to the family about any issues about our mum's welfare. Our mum and our family are very appreciative of all the wonderful care from all of the Woodspring House Team. Thank you.
Our mum moved into Woodspring House in August 2022. She is now very settled and appears to be part of a large family. The care she is given is outstanding. All the carers are kind, respectful, well mannered and full of shared good humour. Everyone seems to be treated with great dignity, care, and even love. Woodspring House appears to be unique in that residents, families, friends and work visitors all enjoy being there/visiting. Everyone entering through the door is treated with the same care, respect, good humour and indeed made to feel welcome and part of the family. If we have ever had the slightest worry, action is taken immediately and any slight concerns are resolved to everyone's satisfaction. I have also witnessed that if a patient, struggling with dementia, has an issue, staff act speedily and kindly to diffuse a situation with concern, patience and respect. We all feel most fortunate to have secured a place in such a wonderful care home for our lovely mum. Thank you.
Thank you for treating me with such care and compassion this morning when delivering some quite devastating news. Thank you for taking the time to discuss in detail the proposed way forward and leaving me safe in the knowledge that my friend will be well cared for and nurtured by Woodspring staff during this difficult stage in his life as he has been all throughout his time living there. It has truly been a home from home for him and we have been delighted with the care demonstrated to him by all staff members. Long may it continue. Empathy and compassion are being lost in the care system but not at Woodspring.
High level of consistency in the staff. Home has a comfortable/non-clinical feel which is important. Current owners are very engaged, committed and caring. The home manager is excellent and sets the right tone and ethos with the staff. My mother feels safe at Woodspring House and they accommodate her needs. Having been quite a challenging person for most of her life, she is content and happy in her environment. She came through COVID and, thanks to the care of the staff, has made a very good recovery, regaining faculties that I presumed would be permanently lost. I have no complaints with the care and facilities at Woodspring House and hope that my mother remains there through to the end of life.
A big thank you to the manager and all the staff for the respectful, caring home that our mother now lives in. The positivity, friendliness, warmth and kindness are remarkable. It feels like a big happy family, with each member having their needs met without any fuss, just kindness. Thank you.
Mum has been a resident at Woodspring since October 2022. While Mum rather resists residential care, wanting to go back to her own home in which she is no longer safe, the staff have still been able to build up a rapport with her. Despite declining memory and mobility, they have managed to get her regularly involved in activities and facilitated us to be able to take her out, for lunches at the local pub, for Christmas at home with her Grandchildren, and to see other family. The home is always clean, bright and fresh, and feels much more like a home than an institution. The rooms are well equipped and the staff have been very open and communicative with us. Entertainment and activities happen all week, with different local musicians and entertainers often visiting. Woodspring was one of many residential facilities we looked at when trying to find a final home for Mum, but the only one we seriously considered after viewing.
Before Mom came to stay at Woodspring House I did lots of homework, visiting many care homes, looking at the environments they provided and talking with staff and management. It was a long process, but we have to be fully assured that we make the right decisions for our loved ones when wanting the best possible care. Woodspring was the place that impressed me so much, the warmth of the staff and the residents who obviously had so much input into how they spent their days, with activities and group chats, outings and entertainment. I have to admit here that I spent many happy hours joining in the fun of The Natterjacks Club, sing-a-longs and outings to name just a few, and residents' birthdays and exciting Christmas parties, the staff always inviting and making me feel welcome too. Having spent a career working in the Health and Social Care Sector, I can say that Woodspring House is the best home I have experienced. Thank you, for your kindness over the years.
Unexpectedly in June 2021, I had to find a residential care home for my mum. I was aware of the great reputation Woodspring House had (a friend's mum is a resident and another friend had used the respite care for her mum) so I was relieved and delighted that there was a room for mum and she moved in. The manager was exceptional in her compassion, help and knowledge to me in those first difficult days/times. Here we are one year on and the care my mum has received, from every member of staff at Woodspring House, has also been exceptional. My mum is safe and happy in a genuinely caring and loving environment. Woodspring House is impressively clean, serves lovely food and has plenty of activities going on. The atmosphere always feels nice and positive - from both the staff and the residents.
Woodspring House must be one of the best in the country.
I would be more than happy to recommend Woodspring house, as I have always found both management and staff to be very caring and understanding of the residents and, very often, their complex needs. Woodspring is home to the residents which is very comforting to me as the wife of a resident.
A friendly, family atmosphere. Smiling carers doing their jobs professionally and efficiently. Direct, personal involvement from the owners backed up by a competent, caring manager. Varied activities and a daily varying menu with options.
