View Full Details of Ashill Lodge Care HomeMy mum moved to Ashill in November of 2024 and I have never seen my mother so happy in the last 3 years, the staff are very friendly and always ready to help, they take very good care of my mum, they keep her active with activities and my mum already calls Ashill a home and above all ,the management and staff informs us of everything and are always very dedicated, they are amazing Thank you Ashill
Our mum has been a resident at Ashill Lodge for nearly 2 years. The staff are always friendly and welcoming every time we visit. Mum is very happy here. She enjoys taking part in all the varied activities and is very fond of the staff. Mum and the family went through a difficult few months prior to mum moving into Ashill but the staff and the enviroment made us all feel welcome and made it easier for all of us to cope, for which we are most grateful. The management team always keep the family informed of anything we need to know and we have no issues or concerns with the home.
Mum is very happy at the home, her room door is never closed so the staff often pop their heads in and have a word and a giggle with her. She joins in with all the varied activities they organise and we are often invited to come along and be part of it. The latest being the Easter Fete I attended with my daughter, great fun was had by everyone, the atmosphere was brilliant. The managers are friendly and very approachable, it’s a lovely clean, bright and inviting Care Home.
Every time I visit I can see the staff do their best for everyone in the care home, I am especially grateful for all they do for my special friend. Everyone is always there to help and are very pleasant.
My mum has been a resident of Ashill Lodge for around fourteen months and has been well cared for throughout. When she first arrived her care was in bed most of the time. The staff referred her to the community team and made sure a specialist chair was provided for her. This made all the difference to her mental and physical well-being. As a family, we were so happy to see Mum improve day by day. The staff are very caring and I love how they really take the time to get to know their residents. Her care is very good and it has been all credit to the team in helping Mum to increase her weight. I am very happy with the team at Ashill.
My dad has been a resident here for almost a year. He is a fussy fella but he is more than happy with his care, carers, food and everyday support. I feel the carers are excellent and always keep me informed. I visit regularly and sometimes unannounced and always find the level of care, especially personal care is excellent.
Ashill Lodge is a very lovely care home, with great friendly staff members. They have lovely things they do for their residents, such as Easter fete, which I attended and it was a lovely afternoon for all involved, all of the residents, their families and the staff all seemed to be really enjoying the day. The home appears clean and well-organised, and I’m always greeted with a smile when I attend.
I have been visiting a resident for about five years here at Ashill. During this time my friend has become more confused and declined in health but has throughout all this time stayed cheerful and positive. She is supported in very difficult circumstances by all of the staff at Ashill Lodge. She has never anything but good words to say about how nice they are to her. She is predominantly bed bound and requires full support in eating, this is provided in a caring and supportive non-rushed manner. A special mobility wheelchair to support and aid her limited mobility has recently been supplied by the home. I have found over the past three months that the contact from the home to us by way of newsletters and emails has greatly improved. I appreciate the contact emails giving me updates when I am not able to visit.
I have no problem with the care home at all, or the staff as they do a brilliant job. If you need anything sorted you just tell one of the managers and it gets sorted out. Their carers do their job and have no problem either. Good service all around. The only downside is there is no call button in the upstairs lounge now as it's been taken out, I think it should be replaced to make things easier to call a carer instead of trying to look for one!
The service at this home is unbelievable. No one cares about residents and if you are thinking about using this home don't. None of the staff has any interest in their jobs and the owner is only in it for the money. My mum was in this home and I truly believe if they had done their job properly my mum would still be alive today.
Father has received excellent care at Ashill Lodge. The carers are always patient and kind. They value transparency, they are always honest and open regarding my father's condition, needs and care. I give them 10 out of 10 in all areas. Their commitment to their clients is impressive, I would not hesitate to recommend them as a first-class care home.
Mother has been at the home for over three years now. I have not had any major concerns with past and present owners. Since the new owners have taken over it is good to see the home virtually full, which in turn gives the home a new buzz for residents and staff. Always informed of things that I should know about and always feel comfortable to ask management about any of my concerns, should there be any.
My mother suffered from bouts of extreme loneliness for nearly a year. She moved into the home in November 2017 and the difference it's made to her quality of life is unbelievable. She was made welcome from day one and the care by the staff is second to none. True carers work here.
My dad has only been at Ashill for a few weeks but seems very settled and calm - he did not complain about anything whilst I was with him. A chiropodist was organised very quickly when the family asked for it. The manager seems very organised and keen to provide an excellent service. I can see that there is a lot of renovation work going on at Ashill. All staff work hard and are caring and friendly.
Just my mum and sister live in Norfolk, my sister, is too young for a care home and my mum,s already a resident.Good to see good progress is being made with improving the home since the new manager took charge.
The staff at Ashill could not have been more friendly and helpful. I made several unannounced visits and everything was in order each time so it isn't just surface pleasantry. Can't recommend highly enough. Surroundings need work, but that is in progress so once that's all been done expect this home to be very popular.
I've been visiting my friend for over 4 years. All the standards are excellent and have improved dramatically. Staff are loving and caring. Personal cleanliness is of the highest standard. It's a warm and welcoming place since being taken over. Residents are treated with dignity and are well cared for. The management is really trying to please. From the previous owners and managers, it has improved dramatically since the new managers took over.
Couldn't wish for a better place for my dad to be looked after. He's well taken care of and loves the staff. He's improved dramatically since the business was taken over. He's very happy to be back after his pacemaker.
We came to see mum in March for Mother's Day. We were really surprised to see the changes that have been made since our last visit. Very welcoming staff, a big improvement on the reception area and much cleaner and brighter. Also offered tea/coffee and biscuits of which we gave not been offered before. Nice touch. Also, new furniture made a difference. Undergoing refurbishment at the moment but big improvements already, Mum was very pleased to see us and seemed very happy and comfortable with the new staff. She was well dressed and looked lovely. This was an unannounced visit as we travelled to see her from Stockport, Cheshire. We were very impressed with all the improvements being made. The manager explained all the changes they were making and we were very impressed with he.r Looking forward to our next visit.
