View Full Details of Badgers WoodI would just like to say that Badgers Wood is the best care home that I've stayed in. The staff are so friendly and compassionate and caring. They have time for you if you need to talk. The food is great, so much choice. I hope when my time comes that I would be able to stay at Badgers Wood. Can't praise the staff enough for their kindness and compassion.
Mum was in hospital for a long time and couldn't return home. I looked around ten-plus care homes and none had the same feeling as Badgers Wood. I knew straight away Mum would love living here, all the staff are friendly and very approachable. There are always activities going on which keeps all the residents engaged. Mum reports that the food is very good and there's always a cup of tea on offer. There is a real sense of community here. I know Mum is happy and well cared for.
Very pleasant surroundings. Nice environment.
Dad has settled in really well from day one. The staff and care they give are excellent. Planned activities every day, and knowing Dad is in here gives us peace of mind. Any concerns they will let you know.
Staff excellent. Food - A-star.
All staff are good workers. Food is good. Activities offers are good. The lady who takes the activities is fun. The home is kept clean. Overall, I would recommend Badgers Wood as a care home, safety and security.
Very attentive. Staff are wonderful and lovely and friendly. Rooms are excellent. Everything is wonderful.
I've been living here for a few months now. The staff are wonderful. Very kind and the food is really rather nice. It's tasty and that's what you want. My room is lovely, the view is nice and it's so quiet.
I come to visit my friend who is a resident here every week. She always sings the praises of all the staff. The home is clean and the staff are friendly. My friend (and the other residents I see) always seems happy and well looked after. They are well-fed, well cared for, warm and happy - what more can you ask for.
My mum has been a resident for three and a half years and in that time I know she is safe as she always receives the best of care and attention from all the staff. Now I would like to acknowledge, that with the many restrictions placed on care homes in the past two years, how amazing all of the staff have been as they stepped up to the challenge, with their dedicated protection, devotion, kindness and care. They became family to our loved ones and wonderful supporters to family members by updating us with Zoom and telephone contact. They certainly have been outstanding.
I have been here about 1 year and now my family to not have to worry they know I am well fed and cared for. The food is excellent.
Of course, things are rather different at the moment. However, the staff are doing their best to keep everyone happy and entertained. I've has a couple of window visits and we've talked on the phone several times. Now the vaccines are being given, hopefully, things will soon go back to normal.
My friend recently moved in after a long stay in hospital. It's been hard, and he wasn't happy about needing 24/7 care. However, the staff made him feel at ease and are trying hard to help him settle - eg with his correspondence, food needs as well as day to day things. Even though things are difficult, (ie covid), staff are cheerful, accommodating and helpful - my friendly always seems happier.
The team of staff at Badgers Wood are amazing. Even though we can't visit at the moment, staff are keeping us regularly updated with Mum's care and what she and her friends are getting up to each day. We are getting the email updates; thank you. It makes being separated easier to bear. The whole team are to be commended for keeping everyone safe and keeping everyone's spirits up.
Finding care for your loved one is a minefield. However, the manager and staff have eased our stress no end. Badgers Wood is lovely. It has some lovely, niche ideas and my mum is so happy already. She feels safe, valued and has made friends. Thank you - you are a wonderful team.
We looked around several homes before choosing Badgers Wood. Our reasons for picking this home were happy atmosphere, happy staff, warm, clean, light and bright, clean and happy residents. Mum has been happy since moving in.
Our dear friend has moved into your care home recently, after being unwell. The love and care shown to him have been second to none. We are extremely impressed at how professional all of the staff are, and how clean the place is. Highly recommended.
Chuffed to bits for these guys with their CQC outstanding rating. They all do a great job. Great Auntie is still loving life at Badgers Wood - children in again today, always something to do.
Dad came in recently for some respite. He hasn't returned home. He got settled quickly and wants to stay. Can't fault the staff. Lots of them. The food is good - Dad's put on weight, which is a good thing. Lots of choice. Nice quiet room. Lots of places to sit. The place is clean. Dad went down to the shops yesterday which he enjoyed - the sort of thing he used to enjoy doing.
My mother was a resident for the last 18 months of her life at Badgers Wood. She was welcomed and made to feel at home in her new surroundings. The care she was given was outstanding, she adapted to her new life so well due to the care and dignity she received from every member of the team.
