View Full Details of Cresta LodgeMy dad was taken into this carehome with very complex needs. After he had settled in nicely. He has had the very best of care. Right through from the management to all the staff. As a visitor to the home they make you feel so welcome. Keep up the good work.
The staff are very dedicated to their roles. My mother went from almost bed ridden to walking (with a frame) within 4 weeks of her stay. This enabled her to be able to return home permanently. All the staff are friendly and caring. The decor in the home could do with updating and would be really good if there was more space in the living area when visiting.
Mum has needed a great deal of care as her dementia has progressed. All The staff at Cresta Lodge have treated her with the utmost dignity, kindness, and concern for her welfare. They have also supported the family and worked with us to get the best possible care plan in place. Mum is safe, treated with real affection, and has access to medical care from the local surgery whenever we are worried. Communication is excellent. Cresta staff feel like family to us now.
I only have praise for the staff that work at Cresta, everyone goes above and beyond in their care of residents. The staff made it such a happy place for the residents, my mum received care that would be beyond anyone’s wildest expectations. My mum enjoyed participating in the many activities, themed events, parties, craft making, music singer visits, the chef's fabulous birthday cakes, and his cooking and day-to-day life. She always told me that everyone there was lovely and caring, she felt special. I can look back on my mum’s time at Cresta and feel happy in the knowledge that my mum received the best care and was happy living there, we feel very lucky indeed. Five stars for absolutely everything!
My father initially was a resident at Cresta Lodge until he died in February 2021. He suffered from dementia and was very well looked after by the team at Cresta. My mother joined him when her health seriously deteriorated. We really feel the staff know Mum's needs and genuinely cares about her. It is reassuring to know she is being so well looked after.

My father was at Cresta Lodge for 2.5 years and throughout that time he was cared for in a considerate and humble manner throughout. We were very comforted by the knowledge he was getting the best care possible. Overall the manager and her team are a credit to the profession! Thanks very much from us all. 100% recommended.
I have found the staff very kind and helpful and have looked after my every need.
Mum was very well looked after. Her carers were kind, thorough and professional. I am sad that she wasn't well enough to join in with the community activities. Mum always looked immaculate and was treated with dignity throughout.
Management strongly recommended. Facilities and cleanliness recommended. Food and drink good also the staff are excellent. Satisfactory for money. Overall excellent.
During my mother's time at Cresta Lodge, the staff were always kind, caring and thoughtful. The managers took an active interest in her care and communicated with me when necessary. My overall experience of Cresta was excellent in every respect.
The home was exactly what we were looking for. Care was given when required. A happy cheerful place to live. Excellent care for my aunt at the end.
My sister was cared for at Cresta Lodge for ten years during which time she received kindness and reassurance form all the staff and management.
Feels now Mum has settled in after a difficult start. Regarding her personal problems the staff have been good in their support and Manager has a good understanding of Mum's needs.
My sister and brother-in-law moved into Cresta Lodge last October, unfortunately, my brother-in-law passed away in July. My sister remains in their care. It is a lovely care home but I do feel the lounge is a bit small for the number of residents.
I had my doubts when my friend was first admitted, being a professional person. I thought that she might be difficult and find it hard to adjust but the staff have been wonderful and tended to her every need both real and imaginary. She has enjoyed most of the activities and joins in with entertainment. Cresta Lodge is a lovely friendly place, no nasty smells when you come through the door. Could do with a bit more space but it would spoil it if made bigger.
My cousin is very happy at the home and more than happy to spend the rest of her days there. She says the food is very nice and a good variety. She is quite happy to sit and watch other people around her and having a laugh and chat with them. She takes part in some activities but mainly likes to have a doze. Also, the staff are wonderful and always on hand to offer help.
There is always a warm welcome from the staff when visiting our mother. It is so lovely to be able to call in at any reasonable time of the day for a chat. The home is filled with laughter as staff go about their business and the residents are included in the banter. Nothing is too much trouble and my concerns are addressed without fail. There are a number of outside visits which are planned throughout the year for the residents and entertainers who attend the home. The home is well maintained and always clean. It would be nice to see some splashes of colour in the lounge as so many of the residents spend a lot of time in this area. The garden is very peaceful and is used by the residents sometimes for lunch or beverages.
