View Full Details of St Edmunds Residential HomeI was a respite patient at St Edmunds. I was greeted by a nice manager, couldn;lt have been better. The staff were most helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the food was first class. I enjoyed every moment there. Always something to do.
My mother has been a resident for about four months. From the first day, we have all been extremely happy with how she is looked after and treated. The staff are very caring and so pleasant to both my mum and us when we visit. The feel of the home is more like a hotel than a care home and the location on the seafront is brilliant. In terms of my mum's care needs, the staff are all aware and a doctor visits regularly.
My mother was at St Edmunds Residential Home for 5 years and looked after with care and understanding.
I am well pleased with everything and everybody here and would recommend it entirely.
My mother came into St Edmunds two years ago this month. It was a difficult and very upsetting time for myself and siblings. However on reflection now I can speak for us all and say it was the best decision we ever made. I cannot express how pleased we are with the care and attention they give to her. She is looked after 24 hours a day. Something we could never do as a family. The home, the food, the activities, the staff - all wonderful. 10/10.
I enjoy living here!
The staff are very friendly, the home is welcoming and on first impression, not like a care home at all. The new owners have put a lot of money into upgrading this facility and it shows. My Mother's room is small with a toilet and wash basin room within (showering once/twice a week with assistance in the communal bathroom). Management and/or staff are approachable if worries arise about the health of a loved one or anything else. Occasionally my Mother or I have had to chase up her afternoon drink as she has been forgotten. Overall my Mother is very happy where she is and has many friends within the community, as she's happy, so are we.
Have been here over 2 years and have really no complaints except food could sometimes be cooked better. Love has been good when I have needed medical care ie 999 for an ambulance and medication.
