I enjoy being at Heathcote. Staff are very kind and answer my bell quickly. They are also very kind and welcoming to my friends and family, my brother enjoys coming.
It was lovely to visit my nanny and see she was well looked after and happy and enjoying taking part in things. Cannot fault the staff or home at all. Would highly recommend.
I love it at Heathcote. I used to visit my friend when he was here and knew it was where I wanted to go when the time came. The home is marvellously led by the manager and her assistant. The staff are also kind and thoughtful and they do lots of nice things for everyone here.
Heathcote is a genuinely welcoming home with a lovely family feel and this is credit to the home manager and all the team working there, their professionalism and passion to create this family atmosphere. I have nothing but praise for the excellent level of care and support my mother received, and I cannot recommend this home enough.
I stayed at Heathcote for seven days to recover after an operation and would definitely convalesce there again. I particularly recommend the caring nature of the friendly staff, the accurate medicine dispensing, the cleanliness and comfort of my ensuite room and the tasty, varied food menu. I had asked for certain medical equipment to be set up for me and it was set up prior to my arrival, very reassuring! I felt that I was in safe, caring hands throughout. Thank you.
Lovely care home with a homely feeling. Looks clean and well-kept. Staff are always smiling and seem happy. A good variety of activities available. Good quality meals. Good location to the city. Management are very approachable.
My stepmum stayed at Heathcote Care Home for a 2-month period following a stroke. Although it was a difficult time for her and me, the care she received was wonderful. The staff constantly went above and beyond to help her to settle in and demonstrated real kindness and compassion every day of her stay. As a relative, I also felt listened to and supported by managers and care staff throughout that period.
Overall very pleased. Looked after my father with a stroke - excellent - very caring and thoughtful, kind and considerate and very attentive to my mother after he passed away. Very friendly residential home.
Mum has been staying at Heathcote for a fortnight while we went on holiday for two weeks. This is her third stay (previously June for a week and December-March while recovering from a fall and hospital stay). Mum is so happy to stay here. All the carers are outstanding; kind, patient, and give her lots of time and conversation. She enjoys the meals and although she doesn't partake in activities, the activities coordinator calls in to see her for a chat. Excellent work from the manager and all the team.
I had struggled with working and caring for my father and all that entailed for some time. I did not wish to place him in care as I was concerned by the reports about the level or lack of care given by some companies. However, we happened upon Heathcote which has completely changed my opinions. The staff are wonderful, kind, patient and caring. My father is clean, tidy and well cared for. The relief of knowing his needs are met and he is safe and secure and wonderful. He is happy and so am I. Thank you.
I visit my gramps once a month and he always has a smile on his face and he speaks so fondly of all the staff. Staff at Heathcote are amazing. Always seem to go above and beyond and the happiness and laughter the home is filled with is so lovely to see. I can go away knowing my gramps is being loved and cared for by people who consider him family. Heathcote really is a home full of love.
My sister and I are generally very happy with the care that our mother is receiving at Heathcote Care Home, Norwich. She has lost weight since her illness last summer but has improved since starting "Altrashot" drinks. Her appetite remains very poor but mentally she has improved. Yesterday, my sister discovered several of her garments have "gone missing" in the laundry. Staff will investigate.
My lovely dad spent the last four months of his life at Heathcote and I can honestly say I couldn't have wished for a better place for him to spend his last days. All the staff and management, without exception, showed Dad exceptional care and compassion and went such a long way to making his final months, weeks and days as happy and comfortable as they could possibly be. That care was extended to me, my sister and other family members, during difficult times when visiting was limited due to Covid restrictions and most acutely when Dad was placed on end-of-life care. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Such a wonderful balance of genuine care and dignity shown to Dad and to all of us made such a difficult time, just a bit more bearable. Dad was a quiet but cheeky character and the staff really 'got' him and his humour and so it soon became his home from home. My only regret is that he wasn't able to spend more time there. We are eternally grateful, thank you to all at Heathcote.
Heathcote is filled with laughter, care and kindness.
I am very happy and well looked after, food is wonderful and all the staff are marvellous. God bless them all. Thank you.
It's so nice to finally be able to visit my nan and hold her hand, so grateful to all the staff at Heathcote who have kept Nan's spirits up during difficult times. They are all amazing and do a fantastic job.
Mum is very content at Heathcote and now thinks of it as home. The staff are very caring and she enjoys the banter with them. She often comments that she couldn’t wish for anywhere better. Overall, we are very satisfied with the level of care that Mum receives and would definitely recommend Heathcote.
Everybody is very friendly and helpful and Mum is very happy there and being looked after very well. She gets involved in the activities which is making her enjoy more things. She also loves the food which has brought back her appetite and get up and go.
We couldn't have found a better place for Mum. She was worried that she would be placed in an 'institution like' home, one with no character or identity. The Heathcote is more like a small family hotel which is something Mum likes very much. The staff are wonderful, very caring, warm and friendly to family members. They have always made us feel very welcome and part of their wider family. It has been a very difficult year for us all, especially for those working in the care industry, but it has been a comfort to us to know that Mum is in such a caring place.
Always made to feel welcome. Lovely atmosphere and everyone is always so kind and friendly. Always offered a meal and refreshments. Room is spacious, clean and tidy. Lots going on with entertainment and activities.
