View Full Details of Lyles HouseAll staff at Lyles House are very kind and caring both to my mum and other family members. They were supportive at a very difficult time for our family. The home is very clean and tidy. Mum found it hard at first to settle, but with the staff's help, she has now settled as they have got to know her. The staff are quick to keep me informed of any changes in Mum's health. Overall, I rate it highly. A warm and friendly atmosphere greets you whenever you visit.
Visited relation, staff very friendly and professional.
Extremely well managed with very caring, helpful and professional staff. The room provided for a period of respite care was very clean and had a nice outlook over the garden. Regular and varied activities for residents. Would recommend.
The care home is just a wonderful place, the home's manager is what makes this home what it is and to entrust her with my mother's care was an easy decision. She is open, concise, informative and aware of all of my mum's needs and the little things that make my mum just that. The home is continuously developing from what I can see and my mum has settled in so well and developed some really good relationships with the staff there. I love the suggestion box, the resident dog and also how home from home it feels when you arrive, it's almost like an extended family, everyone knows everyone and is supportive. It was the best decision to place Mum at Lyles House with the manager and the team and Mum has come on leaps and bounds since she was admitted from hospital.
We are so grateful we found Lyles House for my mother-in-law, it has been such a relief to know she is safe and well. She is 98 and has dementia, the staff could not be kinder and more attentive. We know she is well fed and looked after and has the opportunity to join in with other residents at the many entertainments that are provided. All special occasions are celebrated and everyone is friendly and kind. We couldn’t recommend Lyles House enough, we are very grateful for their help and support. Thank you.
My aunt has spent 4 years at Lyles House and she has been well cared for and enjoyed her time. However, she has really been happy over the last year in her new room and with all the new surroundings. The whole place has come alive and been very welcoming. The staff are helpful, friendly, and very supportive. During these last 3 weeks, up to the death of my aunt, we have been kept well informed and recognised their genuine care and respect.
It's a hard decision to entrust a parent's care to a residential home but my mother has settled very well at Lyles House since she arrived last September. The home has been under new ownership since the beginning of the year and the new team has implemented numerous improvements to the home's environment. There are now more photographs, paintings and colourful posters and decorative items in communal areas which stimulate memory and conversation. The staff are kind and welcoming and have a good rapport with my mother; she is always very demonstrative to them. It's good to see that there are regular visits from a group of local primary school children which keeps invaluable inter-generational communication active, plus visits from musicians etc. Lyles House continues to provide a relaxed, homely atmosphere where residents thrive while doing all possible to comply with care regulations; a light touch in potentially demanding circumstances.
The whole family have been very grateful for the amazing care the staff at Lyles House have given to mom over the last few months. She spent her last days comfortable and safe, and the staff ensured that we could spend as much time with her as possible. We would like to give a very heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff.
I was very pleased with the care my grandfather received at Lyles House. The staff were exceptionally friendly, accommodating and reassuring. His room was clean and comfortable and his every need was met.
All through lockdown they have kept us informed and in touch with my aunt, couldn't have asked for more. My aunt has improved in her health since being there and looks a lot healthier than when she arrived.
This home is a home from home, my mother has been there for the last few years and loves everything about it. It's clean and tidy, the food is good and the staff are brilliant I would recommend it to everyone, to see my mother happy than she has been for years speaks for itself.
My aunt is very happy at Lyles House, always smiling, joining in with everything that is going on and well looked after. It is a great relief to all the family to see our aunt enjoy life again.
My grandma had a super time during her respite stay at a Lyles house. All she did during our phone calls was praise the friendly staff and lovely food, it was delightful to hear her so happy when she had been so poorly. The hairdresser made her feel a million dollars and when we visited her bedroom was so clean and tidy. Nan loved having a proper bubble bath with the lovely carers assistance and her tea served in a proper cup and saucer! I’m sure she will be back for another stay soon and to catch up with all her new friends. Thank you to all the super staff for making her stay so comfortable and to the management for making everything go so smoothly for us as a family.
Very pleased with the overall support, service and care my Aunt is getting. She has been at Lyles House for just over two years now and she is as happy and contented as she has been for many many years. Thank you.
Whenever we go to Lyles House my brother's room is always nice, clean and tidy. It was warm in the winter and cooler now. The staff have been very helpful in keeping us up to date on my brother's progress. They have a really nice visitors room which you can use.
My father-in-law was so well looked after at Lyles House. The care he was given was outstanding. The staff were very very kind, patient and understanding towards him. As a family we could not have wished for him to be anywhere else. My father-in-law wanted to end his days at home but had decided to go to Lyles House for a break and rest. The minute he walked into his room at Lyles House he said this is where I want to stay. A big thank you to all the staff for their care and kindness towards my father-in-law.
All the care staff were so very kind and caring. The home is well looked after as well as the residents. It was a relief to know that my grandad was in safe hands; he also enjoyed his time at Lyles House.
As a family we cannot praise the staff and management of Lyles House highly enough for the professional, caring and compassionate support that they gave to my father-in-law and family members when, at short notice, they welcomed and accommodated our 95-year-old family treasure. Being very independent and reaching a real point of need in his life, the management and the rest of the team at Lyles could not have been better. Completely on board with the difficulties of moving into a care home for the first time, and totally embracing his needs. The home and staff provided a lovely calm and happy family atmosphere and provided the specialist care required to keep him safe, comfortable and at ease to the end of his life. We are so grateful to all at Lyles for being there for us just when we needed them and providing such a high standard of care and support. Thank you.
My grandad spent a short time at Lyles House and I cannot speak more highly of the staff there. They carried out the care for him to the highest standard and nothing was too much trouble for them. Grandad was always saying how friendly the staff were. If you are looking for a place for a friend or relative Lyles will give you the best care. I cannot thank the staff at Lyles enough for all they did for Grandad.
It is always difficult to realise that as a family you cannot always provide the best care for an elderly parent. The Lyles House team not only provided that specialist and compassionate care my mum needed but also helped us as a family deal with the emotional issues that come with this family decision. Mum is in her 90's and prior to her admission was nearly fully bedbound and not eating well. She was deteriorating quickly. After an initial settling in, Mum now is fully integrated into the Lyles House 'family'. She gets up and dressed each morning and spends the day with her new friends. She looks so much better and happier as well as eating good healthy meals each day. It's a remarkable difference in such a short space of time. I could write much more but simply put, this is an excellent, well run care home and the team clearly have their residents best interests at heart.
