View Full Details of Delph House Care HomeMum was a resident from January 2020 until September 2023. Despite severe dementia and inability to communicate, we feel that Mum was loved and cared for exceptionally well by the staff - you could tell by her eyes and demeanour that she trusted them and they made her feel safe. She would have been very difficult to provide personal care for, but was always clean and dressed when we visited, we never noticed any unpleasant smells. The food provided was always of good quality, staff always remarked how well she ate, suggesting that they spent time with her ensuring that she ate all of the food prepared as she ate very slowly. Activities were regularly underway in the home, although Mum was not able to join in in the last year or so of her life. Staff were always warm and welcoming to us. The care provided in our eyes has always been exceptional, but we can also see that a large number of improvements to the environment and processes have been made during the time Mum was resident there.
Our neighbour is very happy living here. Her room is in desperate need of painting and decorating and the furniture is very tired. The care that she is receiving she says is good.
Mum was accepted into the home with minimal notice. A hospital type bed was put into place immediately on arrival with everything arranged following arrival from Spain that evening. Mum has been treated with the best care and compassion. She has told me that she wants to stay here and I am very happy too. All the staff are very easy to talk to and the advice given has been very clear. Wonderful home.
