View Full Details of Rose MeadowMy mother has been cared for by Rose Meadow for the past six years, she passed away peacefully in December 2024. Throughout her time living in the home, she has been respected and well cared for. Mum was very happy living there. I was always kept fully informed about her care and supported myself as I don't live locally to the home. The home management is excellent which leads to a good atmosphere within the home. I would fully recommend it. One of the managers attended Mum's funeral, which was very much appreciated by our family, thank you to all the staff for all you did for Mum.
Thank you for your wonderful care of my Mum. Mum lived the last 6 years in Rose Meadows and she called it home. Stephen and Claire run a compassionate, dignified, and secure environment. My Mum enjoyed the visiting miniature donkeys, singing, and plenty of craft activities, all ideas coming from the residents themselves. I highly recommend Rose Meadows in North Walsham.
My mother was in Rose Meadow for 5 years. She was extremely happy in their care of her. It made it so much better for me to know that she was being well taken care of by staff who cared and had her best interests at heart. Towards the end of her life, the staff were exceptional making her last days as comfortable as possible.
Mum went into Rose Meadow following a fall and general poor health. She was in a lot of pain and very frail. The staff immediately welcomed Mum, understanding her fears and worries about the change in her situation. Mum was at Rose Meadow for a month, and the staff worked so hard to understand how to help her and manage her pain. Nothing was too much trouble, a hug, a chat, a hot water bottle, a cuppa. All the staff are friendly and caring, but special thanks to the two who manage the home, creating a very special environment. Many residential homes have an unpleasant lingering smell, but I can honestly say Rose Meadow does not. The dedication and thoroughness of the cleaning staff definitely deserves a mention for this. Mum has now returned home, more mobile and with her pain finally under control. I would definitely recommend Rose Meadow and it would be my first choice should the need arise again.
I stayed at 'Rose Meadow' for short-term care, following major surgery. The management and staff were all brilliant - professional, helpful, kind - and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The food was good too. Overall, I received an exceedingly high level of care which significantly aided my recovery. I am so grateful I chose 'Rose Meadow' and would highly recommend it.
My dad stayed at Rose Meadow for two weeks of respite care as my mum (his carer) was unwell. The staff were kind and friendly. The management were always happy to help and very knowledgeable. As this was Dad's first stay in respite care he was worried. He settled well and had a nice stay, his mobility even improved. The food was good.
Sadly my mum passed away at the beginning of May 2024. She had been living at Rose Meadow for nearly 3 years. In all the time she was there, her care was excellent in every respect. The staff were always efficient, kind and caring. They knew Mum well and she was happy there. She was 98 when she died and during the time she was there, her health was up and down, her care was adapted as appropriate and I was always kept informed. I was a frequent visitor and I always felt comfortable being there. Mum's end-of-life care was wonderful and professional. Everyone was so thoughtful towards her and to us as her family. We spent many hours there during this sad time and were always looked after by all staff- management, team leaders, carers, kitchen and domestics. We are so grateful to them all.
I have to write this review to say what wonderful, kind-hearted care, my mother received while staying here. Any worries, health issues or concerns she had were listened to and treated and she felt safe and comfortable here. The staff were lovely too.
My care was brilliant and I learned to walk again!
I found Rose Meadow to be very open and friendly to my mother and family and visitors. The staff were very friendly and open and with a good sense of humous. Especially concerning the under rewarding recompense many of them receive. The building has its drawbacks - being built in the 1950s so many residents do not have ensuite facility. My mother has now had to be moved the a specialist dementia home, but I will go back to visit them when possible. They were so kind to both my mother and myself.
My mother stayed at Rose Meadow for respite and enjoyed her time there. The members of staff, carers and management were all kind and courteous and couldn't do enough for her to make her stay pleasurable, which it was. She has no hesitation in staying there again should the case arise again.
Overall, very good care home. Mum has been looked after very well and treated with dignity. The majority of staff have been exceptional in the execution of their duties. No real gripes other than a few delays caused by staff shortages.
My Uncle was admitted to Hospital in September 2022 completely malnourished and in an extremely poor and vulnerable state. Following several weeks in hospital he was fortunate enough to be placed in the care of Rose Meadow Care Home, North Walsham in October 2022. As a family, we really didn't hold out much hope for him but with the fantastic care, support and dedication of everybody, and I mean everybody, his life has been turned around. Today, 06.09.2023, he left their care to live a more independent life in an assisted living setting in his own flat. He was very emotional saying goodbye to everybody (he's never been openly emotional) which just backs up the personal and selfless devotion they paid to him. None of this would have been possible without the hands-on and emotional support given by the incredible team at Rose Meadow. No words could ever express the immense gratitude we have to everyone who has contributed to turning his life around. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My mum has been in Rose Meadow Care Home for four years and has always been well looked after - she is always clean and she, herself, speaks highly of the staff. I have always found the staff exceedingly helpful and they go the extra mile - they are always cheerful and very polite to both residents and visitors. Can't speak highly enough of this place and the staff and would have no hesitation in recommending Rose Meadow to anyone who is considering looking for a care home.
Excellent care for my father. I have been very impressed and reassured by the personnel care provided by all the staff here at Rose Meadow.
Rose Meadow is an excellent care home run by very helpful and caring staff right from management to care staff. I can't praise them enough, the food is also excellent well thought out menus with a good variety.
This is an excellent care home. The staff are very friendly and always greet visitors with a smile and visitors are made to feel very welcome. The staff are very caring and throughout this pandemic have been exceptionally good. The residents have been kept very safe. No cases of Covid have been reported. My mother is extremely happy here. The carers have popped in regularly for a little chat, which has been appreciated considering the restrictions in place. She is always clean and tidy when we visit.
My mother sadly passed away recently, and I could not have wished for better end-of-life care. Their empathy, compassion and professionalism were evident then and throughout her stay at Rose Meadow. The staff were wonderful to my mother and very supportive of us too.
We were of course very apprehensive when my mum had to go into a care home. We are so thankful that she had been placed at Rose Meadow and we couldn't have wished for better care.
Staff very helpful. The girls in the office are more than helpful.
