Westfield is the most wonderful home, the care and attention is outstanding. My mother has been in the home now 3 years, always well fed and beautifully clean. The staff are fantastic, so friendly. Staff goes above and beyond entertaining the residents. This home is a 5 star.
My Mum was a resident at Westfields from January until October 2024 and the care she received during this time was second to none. All the staff (from the Manager down to the Handyman) are all caring compassionate people. Having been discharged from hospital for end-of-life care she was treated with dignity and respect and various family members visiting in the final few weeks and days were treated with the utmost kindness.
Wonderful caring staff. All so friendly and helpful. Very welcoming and supportive to residents and always thinking of their individual needs. Great communication and support.
I have visited Westfields a couple of times since the ladies I looked after were moved to this care home for 24-hour care which I couldn't provide, I am delighted that they have both settled so well, the staff are lovely and welcoming, the home is so clean and well-organised, the manger has been a godsend with these ladies, she goes above and beyond not just for them but every resident, I would highly recommend this home to anyone, care here is top class.
First time visit to this lovely care home and was offered a very warm welcome by the manager who goes above and beyond for residents, she is kind and caring, as are the carers who work there. The home is very clean and tidy and everyone is so friendly, I would definitely recommend this home.
I recently moved into Westfields following two falls at home. Initially, I intended to stay for two months in respite care. All of the staff have been so kind and caring and my room is bright, clean and freshly decorated with personal possessions around me. The meals are very good and cups of tea are available at any time. We have different activities organised every day to keep residents stimulated. I have quickly realised I am much safe here and intend to continue my stay after the respite period.
The CQC rating for Westfields was “Excellent,” the description I would say was “Bang On.” Westfields was home for my mum aged 96 from July 2023 until January 2024. In her time there she received brilliant care situated in her own en-suite room. The biggest asset to this home is the people who work there from the management team, care team, admin team (even the maintenance man would pop in and have a chat with Mum which she loved). The building is immaculately clean, and resembles a boutique hotel full marks to the housekeeping team. Early in the new year Mum was taken ill with sepsis, which after a brief stay in hospital she was returned to Westfield for palliative care to be nursed by the care team until her death, in this time she was treated with reverence, total respect and calm sensitivity something we observed and will never forget. This home and its excellent staff, I would highly recommend to anyone.
My mother went into Westfields for a week's respite in June 2022 and then said "I love it here I don't want to go home"!. I had cared for her for 10 years and after another heart problem, it sometimes took two to get her up. Mum (then93) flourished. She enjoyed the company, the activities and her room. Mum became ill in October 2023 the care was excellent. The staff went the extra mile to make sure she was comfortable and they supported the family too!
Lovely care home, very clean and tidy. Very friendly staff nothing is too much trouble. The residents are all clean and tidy. Treated with respect and the greatest of care given. My grandad felt at home and comfortable. Would recommend it to anyone.
I cannot thank Westfields staff enough for the care and support they have given to my grandmother over this past week. As a family, we have absolute piece of mind knowing she is in the best hands and receiving the care she deserves. Nothing is too much trouble, when we visit we are made to feel welcome and everyone is very friendly. We visited during the coronation and the staff were engaging and created a fun atmosphere. Activities had been well thought out and it is apparent that the resident's wellbeing is a high priority. From all the family, thank you so much!
We would like to thank everyone at Westfields for the care and attention given to our brother-in-law in the short time he was in their care. The care he was given was, in our view, outstanding. From his initial assessment by the Westfields manager at the hospital through to his admission, everything was explained and went smoothly. All of the staff we had contact with were very professional and kind, thank you all.
I cannot praise the care and service provided by this exceptional care home highly enough. Westfields is led and managed by a very strong management team who go the extra distance to make sure that their resident's needs are fully catered for by their caring and helpful team. My mother has now had her third respite placement at Westfields and that in itself speaks for itself! It is undoubtedly a difficult time when decisions on care and placements have to be made, from both the individual and family’s perspective, but the care and detail that the Westfields manager and team have placed into supporting us through this is something that we are incredibly grateful for.
Our dad moved into Westfields the week covid lockdown was declared - we were very concerned about how he would cope with the new surroundings after being in hospital for some weeks but of course, the family could not visit him. We were very pleased with the care he received at that time and eventually, we were able to see him regularly. He has been very well looked after and all the staff take great care of him, encouraging him to participate in a variety of activities. He loves the food! We are glad we made the decision to move him to Westfields at such a difficult time in March 2020.
We were faced with the need to find a care home for a 92-year-old lady at the height of the Covid pandemic - a very difficult time for such a decision. After a thorough investigation we chose Westfields, partly because accommodation was available, but also because of its outstanding CQC rating, and have never had cause to regret that decision. Staff have always been helpful and kind, the food has been good and general conditions are always clean and welcoming.
We cannot rate the manager high enough, what a caring, compassionate manager coupled with being a strong resilient leader. He and his wonderful staff dealt with our nan in a way the family couldn't. Westfields is very well-equipped, clean and homely. Nan said the food is brilliant. Thank you again for your professional services.
The manager and staff were kind and supportive to both my friend and me. Whatever was asked of them, they did their best to assist. Unfortunately, my friend was too unwell to enjoy all that was on offer in Westfields.
I cannot praise the staff at Westfields highly enough. My Mum has had a really difficult year and came out of hospital after four months feeling very anxious and disorientated, and too vulnerable to continue living at home. My Dad was already in a Norse Care home and it was such a positive experience for him that I was very happy that a place was available for Mum at Westfields. The manager and staff supported me through the process of moving here as I live many miles away and answered all my concerns, however small. Mum has a lovely bright room, and the communal areas look modern and comfortable, with everything kept spotlessly clean. All the staff have been welcoming and caring, helping mum to settle in at her own pace so that by Christmas she was able to join in and enjoy the festivities! It gives me great peace of mind that Mum is safe and well cared for, and I really appreciate the support and advice that the manager and staff continue to give me.
My mum has been through a lot over the last eighteen months and moving here has been the first time she's been calm and settled. Everyone has been so warm and welcoming and it's so lovely to walk into such a positive and happy home. I used to dread leaving mum whenever I saw her, but at Westfields, I know she's safe, well looked after and having a giggle. Thank you to all the awesome staff!
My father became very frail and weak after suffering from shingles. He lived alone with carers going into the house. We phoned several care homes and we got a very positive response from the Westfields manager immediately. My sister and I went to have a look the same day, we were really impressed with the way in which our questions were answered and the comprehensive tour of the facilities. We were shown a lovely bright room with its own facilities and we both agreed this would be just right for him. He was admitted very quickly as he needed to be looked after immediately. A week on he's so much better, but planning on staying in the home permanently. The staff are caring, compassionate and show empathy, even getting down to his level when they speak to him. They have liaised with the GP at every moment ensuring a seamless transfer of information. A simply outstanding experience all around from an outstanding care provider.
My dad was at Westfields in the last few months of his life. He was made to feel very welcome and settled in well. He loved the food and enjoyed a laugh with the staff and other residents. They took him on days out and he enjoyed being taken to the garden for some fresh air and an ice cream. Overall, the care given to him was excellent and I would highly recommend Westfields.
