My mum was sent to Park Manor and she likes it there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nice and when I go and see my mum I am always make welcome. And asked if I would like a drink. I go in the evening in the week. And at the weekends and the staff are always happy.
My Mum became a resident at Park Manor Care Home in November 2016. Mum needed specialist care which we were unable to give but the manager and her amazing staff gave us comfort in knowing mum would be safe in their care. Each carer brings their own qualities to Park Manor resulting in an overall first-class home. Residents are encouraged to join in with the activities in the communal lounge and meals are taken mostly together. Mum especially enjoyed the singalongs. As her dementia worsened Mum became more difficult but the carers took it all in their stride. By the time mum’s speech became jumbled and incoherent they knew what she liked to eat so made sure she still ate. Her personal care and dignity was never compromised, always clean and dressed in her favourite clothes. I will never be able to praise or thank the manager and her amazing staff enough. They made sure I never had to worry about my Mum. Their genuine care & dedication is outstanding and always with a smile. I can confidently recommend Park Manor.
My mother was admitted to Park Manor in 2016 with dementia. From the moment of admission, the care she received was second to none, and the reassurance given to me and my sister was very comforting. As her dementia worsened, she was at times very trying, but the staff treated her with the utmost respect at all times. Even in her really bad times she was comforted and encouraged by lovely, kind, and dedicated staff. Mother passed away in September 2019 and her care right to the end was amazing. She was coaxed, cuddled, sung to, and had someone sit with her, holding her hand for untold hours, and always with a smile, and uncomplaining. The respect that was given to her even after her passing was brilliant. The carers are just that, they cared for us as well, always kind and understanding, explaining every step along the way, and with a bottomless teapot. We will never be able to thank them enough, but we feel very confident in recommending Park Manor to anyone considering care for a relative.
My mum was recently admitted to Park Manor for respite, I must admit I was very apprehensive, having read all the stuff in the media and on TV about care homes, but this place is amazing, staff and management are lovely and extremely professional, having had lots of years in the caring industry, the manager has everything spot on, she is lovely, really friendly environment, it's like home from home, I can relax knowing mum is being cared for properly, so glad I was recommended this place, I'm able to visit my mum whenever I want with no set visiting times, which is always a good thing, thoroughly impressed.
