View Full Details of Foxgrove Residential HomeEveryone I come into contact with is always without fail kind and helpful. Mum's room is always clean and tidy. The food is varied wholesome and cooked well. I have complete trust in Foxgrove and never worry about mum. Their care is brilliant and I know they will ring me if I am needed. In my opinion, Foxgrove feels like a 'family' home. This has been created by all the staff, all staff roles, from management, care staff, kitchen staff, cleaners, and maintenance.
My mother has been a resident for nearly 5 years. Despite the national shortage of carers and inevitably high turnover of staff, the home manages to maintain a strong core of sincere, carers. All staff from the kitchen to the carers, activities to the handyman, and the domestics all carry out their duties with the utmost care and respect. Answering the telephone at busy times can be a problem, and I think the laundry, and care of residents clothes needs a little more attention at times. Apart from that, we are very satisfied with the care and attention of the team.
Very caring staff. The building is older and very cosy. Food is excellent. The entertainment is wonderful and there is always something going on. Laundry Services could be improved. All residents needs catered for.
Most of the staff are friendly and approachable and all of them provide a good level of care. An answerphone or call diversion facility would be useful for family and friends when telephone calls are not answered.
You looked after my mother for 4 years and we have no complaints about the way she was cared for. All the staff went above and beyond their duties to make my mother as happy and comfortable as possible.
We really cannot express how truly thankful we are for the outstanding care received by mum. You went above and beyond to ensure she had the best quality of life and we will be forever grateful. You made us feel welcome and were responsible to our suggestions. You were professional and so caring. You showed mum such kindness and respect. When things got tough you were always on hand to make me a cuppa and reassured us. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.
My aunt was a resident from July 2022 (following a bad fall at her own home) until she died in December 2023 (aged 94). The care she received from the dedicated and friendly team could not have been better. Staff were fun, kind, patient and genuinely interested in my aunt’s life (which had been pretty full!). They were also very welcoming to visitors. I was particularly impressed by the care in her final week when the staff were so incredibly gentle, kind and respectful. It was obvious they were very fond of her and she them.
Foxgrove Residential Home sums up what a care home should be. My Mum spent the last 6 months of her life there. Foxgrove's staff treat their residents like family and genuinely care. My mum was so happy there and within 24 hours of living there said it felt like home. There are always activities for the residents to do if they want to, great food and beautiful surroundings. As my mum's health deteriorated and she approached her end of life, she was treated with genuine care and dignity until the end. We cannot rate Foxgrove highly enough.
My mother moved into Foxgrove in September 2023 at the age of 99, finally admitting that she needed more help than was available to her in her own home. She quickly settled in and was soon joining in with the Scrabble, carpet bowls and exercise classes. She was even encouraged to start playing chess, not bad for a now-centenarian. She appreciated being cooked for and had nothing but good to say about the caring staff. When she sadly passed away in May, my family and I knew that she was in the right place, and we were treated with compassion and understanding by those same staff.
Overall, very good care. Staff are very accommodating and able and attentive.
Found no faults at all.
My wife and I receive the best care at all times.
I could not praise the care and staff at Foxgrove enough. From the minute my mother-in-law arrived, they have gone out of their way to really get to know her, her likes, dislikes, interests and family, which really held her to settle into her new home. They are exceptionally kind and go above and beyond what is expected of them and keep us fully informed of her progress. I would have no hesitation in recommending Foxgrovve to anyone and could, in fact, not think of a nice place to call home.
I have had a great time whilst being here, the staff are great and always receptive to the personal needs of residents and always willing to help in any way they can.
My daughter's father-in-law passed away at Foxgrove Residential Home and the standard of care and support he was given was outstanding. His needs were always met and the team were so brilliant! I am still in touch with the team as my daughter's father-in-law was there for many years. All I can say is a lovely home, lovely place, lovely team and ever so caring.
Since Dad moved to Foxgrove earlier this year, as a family, we have found all the staff from management to care to support staff all very welcoming and caring.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms and gardens are kept to a high standard. My mum is always happy when I visit.
Thank you for looking after my husband in these past very stressful and unpresidented time. It has been extremely difficult for all these concerned in caring and providing care for our loved ones, I can only hope we can look to the future for better times ahead. My husband has been with you now for three and a half years now. It's been a very long time and extremely difficult also for those like myself on the outside coping on my own and of course with the fee situation. My best wishes and thanks to the staff and management at Foxgrove - well done!
I cannot fault this home. It is what I call home form home. Plenty of company from staff and residents, with beautiful gardens for walks.
Staff shortages have caused problems, but overall, efforts during the various lockdown have been of a high standard, particularly in reassuring and explaining the news. Cleaning has been particularly good with all staff pulling their weight. They keep us safe.
