View Full Details of Woodbridge LodgeI visits Woodbridge Lodge several times a week. Each time I'm greeted by friendly, welcoming staff, there always seems to be plenty of staff to assist residents and many interesting activities going on. Managers are accessible and are able to deal with queries. I'm very happy that I can take our pet dog to visit my husband as it makes a huge difference to him that he can see her.
My husband has been here 18 months. Staff are always attentive to his needs. There is a nice family atmosphere here at the home.
I was here for 3 weeks of respite care following a minor illness and a short stay in hospital before going back home. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The activities like seated yoga were good and helped all those taking part to keep moving. The outing to the bowling alley for ten pin bowling was very enjoyable. It was good to get out and to do an activity. The less well and needy residents were well cared for.
On assisting my friend for his respite, what I have seen has been most favourable. He seems to me to be very well cared for and is extremely happy.
I was made welcome when I arrived. I like my room and I am pleased to have my own W.C, the bath is very good. There is a good range of food which I enjoy a lot. There is help with eating when I need it. The activity staff are very pleasant and helpful. Most of the staff are good and kind. I feel very comfortable and safe here. I really appreciate the open visiting times and that my dog is always welcomed.
Thank you for looking after my mum, I loved Woodbridge Lodge.

Staff are always very friendly and the care of mum is great, nothing seems to be too much trouble. If there are any issues, I always feel very comfortable speaking to any member of staff and comments are taken on board and addressed.
It's early days yet as not quite 2 weeks in but so far am happy with what we see/hear. The staff keep us informed of how Mum is and they appear cheerful and engaged with Mum. It has a warm, comfortable feel and we are confident that she is safe and looked after. Mum has up and down days but spoke to her tonight and she told me she enjoyed the trip out to bowling yesterday! Fingers crossed she settles soon as it's a lovely place.
We are on the first steps of the journey finding the right care for our mum. Staff have been wonderful with both Mum and our family. We feel safe in their hands, referring to their experience and knowledge of both care and dementia. Mum's room is lovely with a gorgeous view over the gardens. On good days she says it's quaint and lovely. On bad days she admits the room is nice!
Mum has been in the care home for six years - she has seen most of the staff and residents come and go! However, now that the staff team seems to have settled down the overall standard of care has improved. Activities are excellent. Food is always good. Sadly, a room with only a commode to use is always a challenge for Mum, particularly during the night! At times, keeping the home clean and laundry turn over, remains an ongoing struggle.
Woodbridge Lodge helped my mother-in-law celebrate her 95th Birthday with care and kindness - decorating a space for her to enjoy being with family and cutting a cake. My mother-in-law has been at Woodbridge Lodge for 6 years - experiencing changes in staff and management. On the whole, she has experienced good care and, in particular, she has enjoyed all the interesting activities and events held at the home.
The home is very nice and the staff are excellent, kind and very helpful.
The care is very good.
It's quite simple it's a fantastic place for my dear mum to live and myself and my family to visit. Kind carers, good food, relaxed and warm and homely. It was a herd decision to make ie my mum residing in a care home. But I am happy I chose Woodbridge Lodge. I visit my mum and she has her cheeky smiles back and when I leave I am comforted that my mum is safe and warm. Thank you so much. Any help I can give you please ask.
Very happy with Woodbridge Lodge. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. My sister-in-law has been in here for 18 months and is very happy and comfortable in the home. The staff are very good and have got to know her and her ways very well. She doesn't always join in but continue to encourage her to do some activities.
During our initial visit to this home, we felt that it was a lovely calm place to be. In particular, we were impressed with the wonderful outdoor space. All of the staff we came in contact with appeared cheerful and engaged well with residents. Unfortunately, our brother-in-law's stay was short as his mental health condition had not been fully recognised. After his departure staff and management were very understanding of our situation and wished our brother-in-law an appropriate and happy outcome.
My mum needed respite care after suddenly having a drastic change in her mobility. From the initial enquiry, all staff from cleaners to nurses, caregivers and management were kind, helpful, fun, professional and courteous. Mum was instilled with ease and taken care of with such kindness and yes with fun. Facilities are superb and Mum loved the food. Her room was lovely and she enjoyed her view a lot. Once she was more mobile Mum really enjoyed the more social side even going out to a particular place. She loved it so much that she is booked back in for August after an operation.
I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff have all been courteous, efficient and approachable. I suppose the Covid pandemic had an effect on taking us out, that has not improved very often recently. They have coped well with my being Coeliac, which limits what I can eat.
