View Full Details of Manor Farm Care HomeI am very happy with my mums care, always looks nice and tidy in the care home friendly staff. Mum always looks very happy and clean and tidy and her room. Had a lovely Christmas dinner on the 11th December in Manor Farms dining room, with other residents and loved ones. It was most enjoyable Christmas meal and all food is cooked from scratch very nice indeed.
My mother has been a resident at Manor Farm Care home for over 4 years now. I think the home is excellent in that the accommodation is good, she has a lovely room. The food is excellent and the kitchen staff are part of the team and interact with the residents. They frequently have entertainment and are taken on excursions, for example, some of the more able residents attended the local pantomime. The Christmas dinner for residents and their relatives was so well organised and the staff had to work very hard which they did cheerfully making it a good experience for all. The staff are always kind and understanding of those residents with dementia and the whole place has a homely atmosphere another plus being it is not too big.
My grandmother has been a resident at Manor Farm for 11 months roughly and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has received. From the moment we visited, the staff welcomed us warmly, making sure we felt confident and at ease in choosing a home for her. The team here is incredibly compassionate, attentive, and professional. They treat my grandmother with respect and kindness, always ensuring her needs are met promptly. The facilities are clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed to create a homely atmosphere, which has helped my grandmother settle in beautifully. The staff go above and beyond to keep families informed and involved, which brings us so much peace of mind. Additionally, recently the family where invited for a Christmas dinner event which went fantastically well with everyone enjoying the day! We were given a table in a spacious offset room which accommodated all of us really well and the dinner was very nice. Thank you to the entire team for all that you do!
When my nanny first moved to you, she was in a terrible home and had many worries and bad experiences, as did I and my family. Since being at Manor Farm she was happy again once she settled. She laughs again and we can finally spend quality time with her as a daughter and granddaughter, rather than carers. Manor Farm is a wonderful place, she is social, spending time out of her room, something she never did before. She feels of the home as her home, care is wonderful as is every person in there.
Mum was moved from another care home at the beginning of August 2024. We loved Manor Farm when we first viewed it for Mum. The home felt very homely, the staff was friendly and kind. Mum has now been a resident for almost a month, she loves it and the staff have helped her settle so easily. I cannot thank all of the staff enough, for making Mum feel welcome with their kindness towards Mum and us as a family. The home is beautifully clean, meals beautiful and Mum's care has been excellent. Mum's mobility has improved, and the family can see Mum's sparkle back again, which she had previously lost. This is due to the wonderful care and kindness being given to her at Manor Farm. We as a family cannot thank you all enough for taking care of our very precious mum and nanny. Thank you.
Manor Farm is a lovely care home the staff are all caring, kind and friendly to the residents and visitors and make you feel very welcome. The residents are looked after by an outstanding care team who work so hard to attend to each person with their individual needs. There are activities to do each day and trips out to different places and my mum enjoyed the fete last Sunday. The food is very good with a good variety of meals to choose from and the home is always very clean. Thank you to all the staff you do an excellent job caring for my mum and making this a welcoming and happy home for everyone.
My father-in-law became a resident in May 2024. He and us were made very welcome with no request being too big or small. We, and my father-in-law were supported by the team every step of the way. It is wonderful to know and be confident that my father-in-law is happy and safe. Communication between the manager and the team is very good. A big thank you to everyone!
My nan has been a resident of Manor Farm for almost a year now, and the care she has received is outstanding. The staff are amazing! They genuinely care for the residents and get to know each of them really well; accommodating their individual needs and personalities. My nan's overall well-being has greatly improved since moving into Manor Farm. She is very well-fed and is putting on weight for the first time in decades! The home organises days out, events at the home and simple touches like having her hair and nails done at the home. It is genuinely the best care home I have visited, and I feel very reassured knowing that Nan is being looked after so well. Whenever I visit, the staff are so welcoming, and it is clear to see how much they care for the residents, as well as what a happy team they are. Their positive and uplifting attitude is exactly what's needed. Thank you to all the staff who take such good care of my nan.
Mum is well cared for at Manor Farm and still seems quite settled, having been their over 3 years now. A meeting last year explored the option of putting in a path and bench within the grounds. Allowing the option to walk in the grounds and sit and take in the views. Hope in the future this does become available to the residents as it is such a lovely outlook. On the whole though Mum is still very happy with the care and support she receives.
My mum has been a resident of Manor Farm Care Home since August 2023 at first she wanted to stay in her room and not socialise however with the care and consideration of the highly professional staff she soon started to integrate and felt very much at home. I can not speak highly enough of the manager and her team everyone is treated as an individual not a number and given the respect time care support and consideration they deserve. Nothing is too much trouble and recently that has been proven as Mum has been quite unwell and at times it must've been difficult looking after her but they have been extremely supportive of me as well as Mum. There is entertainment 7 days a week and the meals are wonderful, the staff and everyone in the kitchen (which has just had a revamp) make meals of hotel excellence always with a choice. Do not worry about leaving your loved one at Manor Farm they will be loved and cared for and you will be part of the family too.
My mum moved into Manor Farm recently and I cannot praise them more highly. She has advanced Dementia and has become unhappy and withdrawn. Since being at the home she's made friends and she's told us how happy she is there and she has returned to her bubbly self. The carers are amazing there is no rush, they give their residents all the time they need. They really do care as do all the staff there. The activities staff are always doing things and Mum is always up to something new. The managers are so supportive and helpful it's truly been the best decision I could have made for Mum to go there. If in doubt go and see for yourself.
Mum came to Manor Farm in January after being in hospital for 14 weeks, the welcome she got was lovely and warm from all the staff, who are amazing by the way. As a family, we are very happy to see Mum being looked after in such a lovely place, her room is pretty, with all her own things, the food is good with plenty of cups of tea for all visitors to enjoy while listening to the entertainment in an afternoon. I know my mum will be happy here, thank you!
Manor Farm has made my mum very welcome. They are warm, friendly and very caring. A very professional welcome to the family too as it is always a difficult decision. We feel confident Mum will be happy here. The food is good and so is the entertainment. Nothing is too much trouble.
My 90-year-old mum was in a home in London and was very unhappy there. Sometimes we would visit and find her in tears. My brother found Manor Farm Care Home near where he lives. We feel lucky to have gotten her a place there. The home is a very attractive building set in green and leafy surroundings. It is just outside a small village of Kessingland which is very close to the sea where she can get some sea air and be walked (in her wheelchair) along the beach paths. There is also a nice pub on the beach where Mum can take a glass of her favourite tipple. The staff at the home are amazing. They chat and are jolly all the time to various residents, and are attentive to all their needs. They also laid on a very nice 90th birthday party for Mum. She is being looked after well. We believe she is very happy there at Manor Farm Care Home.
On my sister's arrival at the home, she had a warm homely welcome, all the staff were very good and have looked after my sister very well, she seemed to have settled in and was happy. Thank you all.
Impressed with the care home from the moment they took my mother in. The staff immediately extended the hand of friendship and took great care of Mum. Management explained how things work in the home and produced an extensive care plan. Communication with staff is easy and nothing is too much trouble. Mum has settled in well and is very happy at Manor Farm, highly recommend this care home.
My mum was in a home in London and had deteriorated to the point we had said our goodbyes on two occasions. She would rock in her wheelchair in a manic depression. We decided to transfer her to Manor Farm as a last-ditch attempt, the best decision we ever made. She has been here since August and is so happy. She, and us, love the staff who are all so caring, crazy, funny and so attentive to everyone's needs. Mum actually gets up and walks a little with her walker and isn't left in her wheelchair all day. My mum is so much better now we actually get to take her out for short trips to the theatre, for lunches, etc. and each day we visit she is so happy and always laughing. It's great that everyone is encouraged to sit in the communal lounge or dining room and mix and are not left in their bedrooms. The food is great, the home is great and the staff are fantastic.
The staff are very friendly and attentive to the residents.
Mum gets looked after well staff are very polite at all times. Can't do enough for Mum. It has made Mum's life so much better and it is good to know she is being looked after and not on her own anymore.
My brother-in-law has just passed away. I was happy with how he was looked after. For three and a half years kept clean and tidy. He was so happy when he was well. Thank you to all the staff. He even joined in with some of the activities such as bingo.
