View Full Details of Prince of Wales HouseAfter my mother was diagnosed with Dementia, I had a difficult time during Covid with the care home she had been placed in. Luckily, Prince of Wales Care Home came to my rescue after it was recommended to us by a care professional. Mum settled instantly and loved the homely atmosphere where the staff had endless patience and kindness and where Mum enjoyed all the daily activities. Mum loved to dance right up to the end when she recently passed away. I thank the Prince of Wales Care Home staff from the bottom of my heart. I cannot recommend the Prince of Wales Care Home enough.
Our dear friend of over sixty years spent her last days in the care of extremely loving and tender carers who all treated her with dignity as a member of their ‘family’. At our age, we have visited many care homes for relatives and friends and have to say The Prince Of Wales House tops them all - every member of staff from the top down are genuinely dedicated to a job they love.
Once again I cannot express my thanks for the outstanding care that you gave my father in the short time he was with you all. There are not enough words to say to you all. Many many thanks once again to you all.
I am very pleased with the high standards of care that my mother (who suffers from dementia) receives. All the staff are kind and caring, following the example of the excellent manager. The manager is friendly and helpful and always available if you need a chat. Staff are always coming up with new ways to enable residents to continue to make choices, for example, they prepare 2 meals on small plates and show the residents so that they can see what the meals are and decide what they would like to eat. The home has a beautiful garden that surrounds the building so that rooms look out onto it. There are various activities that the residents can be involved in, only the other day a harpist sat in Mum's room playing to her.
A very special care home. My mother recently passed away she had dementia, she enjoyed two wonderful years at Prince of Wales. Lots of imagery and interest. Carers who make you feel welcome and are caring plus a good management team. Thanks to all.
The Prince of Wales has provided excellent care for my mother who has dementia. The staff treat my mother with respect and encourage her to join in with activities whilst respecting her views. I am really happy with the care that she receives. The staff are friendly and helpful to relatives and help to make visits enjoyable. Thank you very much for all that you do.
The manager runs a well organised, friendly and caring home. Our mum has received only the very best of care from the staff, since moving here. In what can be a challenging, difficult, emotional and confusing time for someone in the ever changing stages of dementia, the residents are treated like family, with patience and genuine kindness. All the staff are cheerful and treat residents with care, dignity and respect. It's not easy to see your mother's health and state of mind deteriorating, but under the professional management, staff have kept us well informed, no question is considered inappropriate, and above all, we have the peace of mind that our mother is being very well cared for.
