Mum feels safe and cared for. Staff are kind.
Having only three months experience to go on, so far the service has been very good. The accommodation is very clean and the staff very attentive and professional. My mother has settled in very well.
Very nice, tidy, pleasant, friendly staff. Bit of a job to get in and out but we know the staff are busy. Had a lovely coffee morning today. Car parking good most times.
When visiting my friend, I found everyone very happy and helpful. Really kind and attentive, making her feel at ease and happy. Everywhere was spotless and clean.
Following the closure of another care home, my Mum moved into Stradbroke Court, she was welcomed with open arms which made the move so much easier than I expected. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the food is a huge improvement from the previous place. We can go at any time which with me working is a great help, and we can also take our dog in which the residents seem to enjoy. Thank you to everyone involved.
Stradbroke Court is providing excellent care for my husband. He has a newly refurbished room, and his food and drink requirements are monitored and linked to his medical needs. Most of all our family are thankful to the kind and dedicated team of carers. If there are any different health issues these are always referred to the GP who visits regularly. He has benefitted recently from the use of a newly designed wheelchair. I am updated regularly by the admin team on email, newsletters, and posters about changes and activities. Regular meetings have enabled family and friends to ask questions about procedures and to contribute to ideas about changes and future activities. He and I am experiencing 'assisted living' at its best. Thank you.
Care and support can't be faulted. Always treated with dignity and person-centred care. The food is excellent and the home is very clean. Changes implemented by the head office have resulted in a recent high turnover of staff. We hope that Mum's high quality of care will not deteriorate because of this. The care staff are wonderful and need to be valued, appreciated, and perhaps paid more.
Our friend has gone through some difficult health issues but throughout she has been well cared for by the staff and shown much understanding and consideration.
Really pleased with how the staff looked after my Mother. The care and facilities have improved greatly since she first became a resident. We are happy with her care from the dedicated staff.
Mum has been in Stradbroke Court for over three years. Initially, she was very withdrawn, but the home has been proactive in encouraging her to join in with group activities. She has always been well looked after by the friendly and helpful staff. Throughout the pandemic, they were proactive again with encouraging video calls as we couldn't visit face-to-face and have loosened visiting restrictions as possible whilst keeping up to date with local guidelines. She always seems very happy whenever I visit, and I've had no concerns at all during Mum's stay here.
The managers and staff have been most supportive of my mother and I through very difficult times. They were able to encourage people to adhere to very strict lockdown restrictions in a way in which the Prime Minister was not. Even the ridiculous restrictions were enforced, which made life even more difficult for staff. (I refer here to some of the PPE requirements). Now that restrictions are largely lifted, I look forward to engaging more with the daily life of the home. Staff have been very helpful throughout, and I thank them for that.
Mum moved into Stradbroke Court in early 2020 just before the first Covid lockdown. I have been really pleased with the way in which she has been cared for during a very difficult time for all and the staff and management. They have worked really hard to give excellent care and support to Mum. I live two to three hours away from Lowestoft, which hinders visiting, even during normal times - making it very important that the staff and management have been very effective in maintaining good communication with me. I am always made to feel very welcome when I visit, and all the team are very friendly. When I visit Mum, she always seems happy and cheerful, which is very reassuring. I would echo one of the other reviewers in stating that it was a very easy decision when I had to make a choice on which care home - Stradbroke Court stood head and shoulders above other homes we considered in the area. Heartfelt thanks to all the team.
I am a private carer for a lady with vascular dementia, who, at present remains living at home. She has recently spent two weeks in Stradbroke Court for respite. The staff made her stay a happy experience, she settled immediately and was always happy and smiling when I visited her. A big heartfelt thank you to the manager and her team for making this lady so welcome. Lovely home and well run, would definitely recommend.
My mother has received consistent and excellent care since she moved into Stradbroke in June 2018. They have supported and given the care needed for her personally. They are a very open and committed team, who have gone further than expected, especially in the last 18-months. Thank you all at Stradbroke for your continued dedication.
My lovely dad joined the wonderful care of Stradbroke Court in November 2019. Over the last 18 months or so, I really don’t know what we would have done and how we would have coped if it wasn’t for them. The care and compassion he has received have been ‘beyond the call of duty’. Dad celebrated his 90th Birthday in May 2020 during the lockdown, Dad has always been a keen football fan, and before we knew what was happening, he was receiving video calls from the players with memorabilia and even a cake; we were utterly blown away! When myself and my sister toured the local care homes (with a clipboard in hand) searching for the one most suited to Dad’s needs, it turned out to be a very easy choice indeed, there really wasn’t any comparison. We have been so very lucky as Stradbroke Court made the transition from Dad’s home to his new home stress-free for us, and for that, we are truly grateful. Thank you.
I can not express how grateful I was for the love & care that was shown to my dear mum from the day she moved in, in 2016 to the day she passed away in January this year 2020. My family & I were over whelmed with the support the staff showed to us at sad & difficult times. I personally feel the staff are part of my extended family.
My grandfather had a brief but comfortable stay at Stradbroke Court which only lasted for a little over a month but the care that he was given was second to none during that time. I and my family were more than happy with the levels of care that he was given and the communications at all times were fantastic, especially during the particularly difficult Coronavirus situation which made things difficult for all involved.
Dad has been at Stradbroke Court since September 2019. He has been very well looked after, Staff are all very good. There's a nice homely atmosphere. Everyone of the staff are very sociable. Nothing seems like too much trouble. Very clean and spacious for residents to walk around. Lovely gardens to enjoy.
My mother has dementia and the care provided by the staff at Stradbroke Court has been wonderful. They are friendly, happy to assist with any questions or queries we may have. They look after my father when he visits every day too and recently when he became unwell during a visit, they ensured he was looked after and called for medical support. I cannot thank them enough - they are brilliant.
