View Full Details of Uvedale HallDad is very well looked after, the staff are so friendly and kind, they are like family to him. He was recently very ill, some of the staff returned in the evening as they were worried about him - some after a 12 hour shift, we are so impressed and grateful. Dad also very much enjoys the entertainment in the afternoon which is quite exceptional including live music, quizzes, crafts, games and his favourite bingo. How they think of things which the guests can do is amazing, we never new dad was so good at painting. Also he really enjoys the food, must mention that. Many thanks to all staff at Uvedale.
Mum's been really happy here. We feel she has been looked after well and all the staff are lovely.
I believe the care and management of the home is done very well. No complaints, staff, food and cleanliness are all very good.
The Uvedale team are absolutely wonderful. My dad settled in so very well after we lost my mum suddenly last August. He is very happy and relaxed. He loves the food and often joins in with the activities, which is brilliant. I feel so very happy that we found Uvedale. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Dad is happy and I am happy too. Thank you to you all.
My friend is always happy with her care, the carers are always friendly and helpful on my weekly visits. I think the fact that my friend arranges all her visits for the mornings because she doesn't want to miss the activities speaks volumes, they are organised by a staff member full of enthusiasm, who engages the residents brilliantly.
The outstanding factor is the amazing care provided by all the staff. The facility is perfect for Mum. Her family and friends are so happy to have Mum safe and cared for. Thank you Uvedale Hall!
Mum moved permanently into Uvedale in November 2020, after a few weeks respite care. We cannot praise Uvedale highly enough, there is a wonderful family atmosphere, very caring, and lots of fun. The Manager and her team go out of their way to make residents and visitors welcome. There are delicious homemade meals, wonderful birthday cakes, teatime treats. Standards of cleanliness are excellent, the building and grounds are beautiful, lovingly maintained and so relaxing, it really is a home from home. They really get to know the residents and Mum settled in very quickly. You can visit whenever you want to. There are activities in the afternoons, craft, gentle exercise, games. Families are invited to parties which are great fun. I must also mention the standard of detail on administering medication is outstanding. If mum is struggling with one of her medications, they speak to the GP and find solutions. We feel so lucky to have found Uvedale. Thank you all very much.
Home from home. Mum moved into Uvedale in the run into Christmas 2023 and has settled straight in. The staff are kind, caring and fun, the surroundings homely and of a high standard and the food superb. Added to this the daily activities program to keep everyone entertained and it really is a winning formula. We can't praise the manager and her team highly enough.
Excellent home, staff very caring. The cleanliness and food are excellent. Residents all appear very well cared for. Great attention to detail, especially around holidays with brilliant decorations. Would highly recommend Uvedale Hall.
My grandma moved into Uvedale earlier this year, and I cannot fault anything. As soon as you step into the home, it’s such a warm, welcoming place, and the team are always so lovely and friendly, which made Grandma feel at ease and settle in very quickly when moving here. We recently came along to the Uvedale Christmas party, and it was so heartwarming to see all the residents take part and smile away with the team, family and friends, taking part in the raffle, singling along to Christmas songs, an amazing buffet by the lovely chef and the local pop chorus choir. I cannot recommend Uvedale Hall highly enough, as how my grandma and other residents are so truly loved and cared for by every single person in the team.
The Christmas party was an uplifting and inclusive event for residents, their families and friends, plus the staff. The singing was inspired as many knew the carols and joined in with the choir. Thank you.
I attended the Christmas Party on 15th December 23 for residents and family. We were greeted by some lovely singing, and everyone was joining in. The buffet was amazing, with beautiful home-cooked food. The manager brought her choir, and they sang carols, which went down wonderfully. All the carers were so helpful, even the ones off duty were still helping everyone. Can't thank them enough for all they do for the residents to make them feel at home.
Every time we visit, the staff are welcoming and exude happiness to our father. The home is spotless and clean, smells lovely and well decorated. It's never "tied". The home always feels welcoming and calm. The staff are angels.
Visiting for activity put on at the care home. On each visit, I have been really impressed with the cleanliness of the home. Having worked at a previous nursing home, I know that it is so difficult to maintain standards at all times- including smells. Can I commend Uvedale on this, it demonstrates that personal care is completed in a timely and correctly disposed of items. The activities put on really do engage the residents and visitors alike and it is really heartening to see this happening. The staff interact so well with residents and their families alike and it is such a homely home where true commitment to caring is evident.
I throughly enjoyed the Christmas festivities as did my nana, we were able to make it a family event with my mum, aunt and my son also attending. The atmosphere was amazing and the care shown to the residents was evident throughout. My son loves to visit his great-nana and loves filming the choir. He also enjoyed helping with the raffle! Nana enjoyed the event and we talked about it again on my last visit, she was lucky enough to win some raffle prizes! Although her health has been deteriorating, being at Uvedale has enabled her to regain some of her spark again.
My Mum has been a resident at Uvedale Hall for 10 months now and so we have plenty of experience to comment on what the home is like. In all honesty, I cannot praise the standard of care the staff deliver highly enough. Whatever time of day we visit the atmosphere when you enter is consistently the same. I describe it to my friends as similar to staying in a 5* hotel, where every whim is catered for. My mum has a special diet and the chef always makes sure she has a good variety of things to eat. We recently attended the annual Christmas Party and it was so nice to see all the carers, even the ones who were on their day off pop in with their children to enjoy the festivities. When I say goodbye to Mum and shut the door behind me I leave with the confidence of knowing that she is receiving the highest quality care. I can't thank the Care Manager and all the team that work at Uvedale Hall highly enough for looking after Mum we know that she is in safe hands and that is priceless.
Mum sadly passed away after spending her final months at Uvedale. She had a great fondness for all of the staff who looked after her with such care. She had a lovely room and it always felt very homely visiting her. We stayed with her during her final days and cannot thank the staff enough for all the support and kindness they gave to us as a family to help us through such a sad time.
My mum was a resident at Uvedale Hall Care Home for nearly a year. A formidable little lady whose behaviour could be challenging. I can’t speak highly enough about the wonderful care that she received from all of the staff. Myself and my family visited at all times of the day and evening and we were greeted with friendly staff who could tell us all about Mum. Unfortunately, my mum became unwell and required end-of-life care, in September. It was delivered with such care and compassion. I spent hours each day at my mum's side and on occasions when I couldn’t be there, the manager or another member of staff was with her. The manager supported me and was at my side when Mum passed away. The whole experience of Mum’s last year in Uvedale Hall was so positive that I smile every day when I think of her and look through photos of her time there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Uvedale Hall and its amazing staff.
Our mum moved into Uvedale Hall earlier this year following a hospital stay. Mum has many health challenges including limited sight and hearing. The care she has is second to none and she loves the food. We have been able to personalise her room and she is involved in the many activities they offer. When mum has been poorly the staff are so caring (and put up with our constant questions) - what more can you ask for.
I cannot praise highly enough the staff at Uvedale Hall. Whenever I phoned night or day, whoever picked up the phone, exactly how my dad was. The staff are obviously very experienced and knew all of the warning signs for asking for medical assistance for Dad, and ultimately to warn me in plenty of time that he was nearing the end, sadly. I was especially impressed with the emphasis praised on Uvedale Hall being dads home not the staff's or an institution.
