View Full Details of Oaktree Lodge Residential Care HomeMy mum has been at Oaktree Lodge since July 2024. Since she has been a resident she has received excellent care, all the staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate recommending Oaktree Lodge care home for your loved one.
My dad has settled in wonderfully here. All the residents seem happy and enjoy the activities they have going on throughout the day. Lovely to have a resident cat and guinea pigs. A great place and the carers are very attentive to all their individual needs.
My husband who has dementia moved into Oaktree Lodge full-time in December 2024. From the start, it was obvious that this place really was caring. The carers are welcoming have smiles for you and are obliging, if something needs doing. The kitchen staff are equally welcoming, offering you drinks or food which is of a high standard. My husband enjoys the dance/exercise activities. The musical afternoons and comedy videos! The manager and office staff are also welcoming, they listen to any concerns you may have and act upon it.
Please note that I have only visited a friend in the home a few times so I can only give a view of what I have witnessed personally and comments made by my friend to me. From what I have seen and heard this home is a caring and well-run home.
The staff are always very welcoming, kind and friendly. Nice and clean care home. Like the fact that there is a resident cat as she can bring great comfort to those who have had pets in the past.
My mum went into respite initially but is now a permanent resident in the home. The management has been so supportive throughout the whole process giving support to my mum but to me also. I would also like to mention the kitchen staff as they have been helping to encourage my mum with her food by asking and preparing food that she likes.
We have always had a pleasant time when visiting our friend in Oaktree Lodge. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Residents are treated with dignity.
I am very happy here because I feel safe. The food is good and all are friendly and kind. Also, the residents help each other! ie, those you can.
From the moment we walked through the doors of Oaktree Lodge we knew we had found the perfect respite space for my mum to recover from quite a traumatic period. The staff here are nothing short of amazing, the manager is incredibly patient and welcoming and all the care staff who have been just fabulous...their dedication, compassion and professionalism are evident in everything they do. My mum is always treated with the utmost respect and kindness, and it's clear that her wellbeing is their top priority. The environment at Oaktree Lodge is warm and inviting, impeccably clean and well-maintained - the outside courtyard is a favourite spot for Mum! The variety of activities that Mum talks about has kept her engaged and happy and it's heart-warming to see her so content and well cared for. I would highly recommend Oaktree Lodge for anyone seeking a loving and nurturing environment for their loved ones.
Mum has been a resident of Oaktree Lodge for several years now. My sisters and I have always been impressed by the genuine care shown by all of the staff towards the residents. Additionally, staff are always willing to answer all of our questions. Each of us live overseas, so having access to information about our Mum is very important to us. Although it is challenging to get through on the phone at times, information is always readily provided. The building/facilities could do with some updates but we are aware that some of this is being addressed. Overall, we are very pleased with the care provided at Oaktree.
Lovely care home. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. My aunt and uncle are very well looked after and always dressed and washed whenever we visit. Food always looks nice and I am often asked if I want to stay for lunch and offered tea and cake. Staff make every effort to keep the residents happy and well and are really patient and caring. Happy to have found such a nice place for them.
Staff friendly and helpful. Kitchen staff excellent, as are the carers. My aunt seems settled here - always clean and tidy. Food excellent and management extremely helpful and accommodating. Building not the easiest for staff or residents - but improvements being made. Good at keeping me updated re aunt's health, welfare - and when she needs medical attention, and when she falls.
Kindness, respect, compassion, dignity and excellent care are what this home provides. The food looks good and tastes fabulous too. They encourage residents in their hobbies, interests and when feasible do outings. I have found all the staff friendly and keen to help. If you are looking for a swanky home that looks like a hotel this is not the place for you. It is clean and warm with good sized rooms and a homely feel. They treat residents like they are a member of their own family and give support to relatives. I am so glad we choose this home.
My brother and I have always found the staff and accommodation to be of a high standard. The staff are always friendly and on the occasion that we have observed staff caring for other elderly people at the care home, it is plain to see how much they really do care.
Visiting my mother in Oaktree Lodge is a very pleasant experience. You are met at the main entrance promptly by a member of staff who instructed us to carry out a Covid flow test. With a negative result, we were welcomed to enter the Lodge and shown to a reception room to wait for my mother. She and her carer came into the room a few minutes later. Her very cheery carer ensured Mum was settled and comfortable, then left us to our visit. When it was time to go, Mum's carer came without delay and helped her to her feet, then assisted her back to the lounge. I couldn't be happier with Mum's carers.
A very happy and friendly home. I am 88 and I would choose Oaktree Lodge if I needed care. The staff are second to none. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that Oaktree Lodge had no Covid throughout the whole pandemic which I think they worked hard, which is very admirable.
The staff here are amazing - always going above and beyond. Sadly this evening my Nan passed away, they supported her through the night and made sure she, my grandad and myself were comfortable. The staff took great care of my Nan and I am extremely grateful for everything they have done. My Grandad is still at the home and I know he will be looked after.
My father-in-law moved to Oaktree Lodge from hospital in March 2020. Prior to COVID restrictions we were able to visit him and meet with staff and we were very pleased that the hospital team placed him at Oaktree. The staff quickly got to know my father-in-law and helped him adjust to living in a care setting rather than his own home as he initially wanted to go back to his own home. With the COVID restrictions in place, the management and staff have enabled us to keep in contact with our father-in-law and provided us with update information relevant to his care. I have also attended family meetings via internet connection and it was helpful to meet other family members and the owners of Oaktree. I have always found the home manager and her team easy to speak with and prompt to respond to queries or update on our father-in-law’s health and well-being.
My mum is a resident at Oaktree Lodge and has been for almost 12 months and I am so pleased with the care and attention they give to my mother. The staff go above and beyond with keeping me in contact with my mum, zoom calls and garden visits. I cannot fault them and would highly recommend the home.
Friendly and caring staff. Clean and safe environment. Visitors are always welcome and offered tea. Comfortable seating for the residents when watching T.V. Access to the outside and residents can be taken out if they wish.
