View Full Details of Rosewood LodgeMy father recently spent a month of respite care at Rosewood Lodge. The care was brilliant and very supportive to both my father and family that visited. On entering Rosewood Lodge, it felt comfortable and very homely. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were supportive of my father's needs during his stay. The one thing that stood out for me was that prior to my father going to Rosewood Lodge he was visited in his own home by staff members to introduce themselves and fully assess my father's needs. The location is excellent, not far from the seafront in Weston and has a small but well-maintained garden for residents and family to use. My father commented on several occasions how good the food was, this is cooked on the premises with residents eating in a welcoming, communal dining space.
The staff are fantastic. My dad has finally settled at Rosewood Lodge. A special thanks to two staff members in particular who are amazing with my dad and give him the courage he needs! My dad was very unhappy when he moved in, but is now settled and loves the food and his new room, now that he’s on the ground floor. He has made some friends and has people to talk to, which he never had at home. It has definitely improved his mental wellbeing!
The staff, in general, are very good, but the management are not here very often.
Throughout the pandemic, they have always done their best to ensure I can keep in touch with Dad. I have seen him regularly in a completely safe manner. I am extremely grateful.
My mother has been at Rosewood Lodge since September 2019, and during this time, I have always found the staff to be very caring, approachable and happy to help whatever the circumstance.
My mother has been in the home since September 2019. She is always happy. The staff are very caring and welcoming to us.
Rosewood Lodge is a small care home near the seafront. It is a very well maintained, clean and warm care home with very friendly and caring staff. During the pandemic, the staff have kept residents safe from infection, while doing their best to allow relatives to visit their loved ones when possible.
My much-loved father has resided at Rosewood for 8-months, he is not always the easiest person. Never have I felt anything but respect and care for his every need and want. I can honestly say whilst taking covid into consideration, I have entrusted my dad to the best establishment in the area (I have worked in a few). The care and concern are second to none. Health and security measures are excellent. Highly recommend, thank you.
My mother is aged 93 and has dementia. I am very pleased with the care she receives at Rosewood Lodge, which is a great relief to me. The staff and management show Mum great respect and patience. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum thinks the food she receives is fantastic.
My mother is a resident here, she says she is ok there but if she turns the TV up they turn it down saying its too loud, she is going deaf. She talks loud and they keep telling her to shut up and stop shouting. She asked to go to the toilet and they told her she would have to wait, we are busy. When I visit or phone with a concern I get a really bad attitude from the management even to the point when they say hurry up and have your say so I can put the phone down on. My biggest regret was placing my mother here, they are very unprofessional!
We were worried about mum going into a home and feel extremely lucky to have been offered a place for her there. I cannot express how much we like all the staff, how willing they are to help and the general friendliness and feeling of contentment within the home.
My brother has been in Rosewood Lodge since July, he absolutely loves it there. On my first visit to see him, I was made very welcome by the staff, they are very friendly and they took me to see his room. It was lovely, very clean with an ensuite, there is a room where all the residents sit with a TV or there is another room if you just want to sit quietly. There is also a nice dining room, on leaving after seeing my brother, I was invited to go and have lunch with him anytime, all I had to do was ring up in the morning to say that I would like to have lunch with him, how nice is that, can't fault it.
Friendly, caring to a high standard, but peppered with a sense of humour. Residents are treated with respect and listened to. Comfortable room, resident hairdresser, a number of activities on offer, all available and enjoyed by the residents and their visitors. Visitors always welcomed and made to feel part of the care of their relative in the home.
My mum went to Rosewood Lodge in April. She was always worried about going into a care home, being in her own house until she was 91 years old. She absolutely loves it in Rosewood Lodge. The staff are always helpful and do everything they can when she gets anxious and the atmosphere is happy and relaxed since she has been there. It improves all the time and all the residents are always happy and encouraged to join in the activities. We feel so happy to have found somewhere so good and not have to worry if she is being cared for properly. Well done to all the staff for doing a wonderful job.
Rosewood Lodge provides a warm, comfortable and friendly home. The staff are wonderful - very caring and nothing is too much trouble. The door is always open and friends and family are welcome at any time - there is nothing to hide. Residents and family meetings are held to encourage proposing fresh ideas or airing any worries which might arise. Thoroughly recommended.
This care home is lovely, bright, clean and all the staff are really great. Nothing is too much trouble. My friend is very happy there.
Dad is very happy with all the staff, as I am. They all seem friendly and helpful. He enjoys the food (he's put on weight). It took a little while but he now feels settled and comfortable in Rosewood Lodge, which in turn is a weight off my shoulders. The staff are great!
This home is so friendly. The care is impeccable and my mother is very happy here. The food is fresh, meat, veg etc. and if the residents do not fancy what is on the menu, they just ask for something else. There are no problems.
My mother who has been a resined since 2014 had a fall at one of her clubs. A member of staff from Rosewood went to the hospital and stayed with her and accompanied her back to Rosewood when she was released. All the staff have been very helpful as she now needs more assistance than before and I have been kept up-to-date with her progress. They go out of their way to encourage her to eat and make special things for her when she doesn't want what everyone else is having.
My father has been a resident at Rosewood Lodge for just over a year. During that time he has regular visits from myself and other family member. Whether pre-planned or arriving unannounced we have always found the management and staff to be very caring, friendly and good-humoured towards their residents and visitors alike. The meals provided are good, well balanced and staff do their best to offer an alternative, if requested. Rosewood Lodge has a very homely feel, being a converted family house of generous proportions with comfortable accommodation, but without the identical long corridors and rooms of purpose-built care homes. To be cared for in one's own home would be an ideal situation, but when this is no longer possible I feel Rosewood Lodge offers a very homely and caring alternative.
