View Full Details of Beech LodgeYou couldn't wish for better care in the final days of my mum's life. Every member of staff was very kind and compassionate not only to Mum, but to all members of the family. In the time that Mum was a resident in Beech Lodge, she was treated in a very loving and caring way at all times.
Mum was well cared for by staff. They where always helpful, sometimes they were short of staff but always did what they could. Hygiene with morning cuppa not too good, biscuits placed on an unwiped table, no tea plate or serviette used.
So pleased Mum is being looked after so well and the staff are brilliant. Can't think of a better place she could be in the circumstances.
Beech Lodge is a very welcoming home, the team are always, and I mean always, cheerful, polite and helpful. They have gone the "extra mile", things like farming pictures in Mum's room, making sure there's enough sugar in her coffee and keep her warm and cosy - these are the things that matter. I visit Mum often but I also know that when I'm not there she is loved and cherished by the staff and you can't buy that! Thank you Beech Lodge.
Excellent standard of care is frequently witnessed. Cleanliness is to a high standard and a nutritional, varied diet. Very pleased with the level of care. The care home always appears to be a happy place to work at and that is reflected in the high standard of care.
Excellent care given to my bedbound grandmother. She is treated with utmost respect and very well looked after. Her room is spotless, the bed is always freshly changed, whatever day of the week I choose to visit. Couldn't ask for more for her!
My wife has been a resident of this Care Home for approximately 10 weeks, having been discharged from hospital after an 8-week stay following a fall in which she fractured a wrist. She has Dementia and was living at home until I found that I could no longer cope. My wife has settled in very well, and although she doesn't seem to bond with most of the other residents she adores the staff and they seem to be very fond of her. I'm pleased that the Care Home is able to arrange and dispense her medication and arrange for her to see the visiting hairdresser and chiropodist regularly. My only worry is that she may need to have dental treatment at some time and she's not well enough to visit the dentist. She appreciates the food and apparently, having consumed hers, she takes food from other residents, she certainly has a good appetite. The location of the Care Home is excellent and my wife enjoys being taken for a walk down the hill to the river when the weather is kind.
During Mum's last few days in the home, the staff were amazing keeping us updated, explaining to us what was happening and why. They looked after Mum like she was their own, showing her love and care, sitting with her, and listening to her favourite songs. The staff constantly checked on Mum and us the family during our difficult time and were very supportive of us all.
I find the staff friendly and accommodating whenever I visit. They are very dedicated to their work and helpful especially when my mum needs assistance with almost everything she does. My only criticism is that I often find food left on clothing tables and the surrounding floor after mealtimes whereas generally, the housekeeping is very good.
Always made to feel very welcome it’s like being a part of a family. Well done to everyone, Mum is very well looked, after always dressed nice and hair and nails done when it’s available. There is always someone around also if you need to talk or if there is anything on your mind about your mum. Nothing but good reports on Beech Lodge.
My Uncle has now been at Beech Lodge for one year. It took him a while to settle in and get used to the many changes in his life. The staff have been very patient with him and have answered any questions that I have had about his care and well-being.
My aunt has been at Beech Lodge now for a couple of years and has settled in well. Not living nearby I am unable to visit frequently but this has not been a problem as my aunt has made so many friends with others staying there that she is more than happy with our phone calls and; visits when we are able. My aunt seems to be very popular with the staff and it's lovely when I was visiting and everyone is so friendly to her, there's plenty for her to do and she is very happy which puts my mind at rest. Any problems and I am contacted straight away. The only complaint I have is that it's such a nasty turn in and out onto the main road but sadly nothing can be done to fix that I'm always glad when that bit is over with!
Mum has only been at Beech Lodge for a few weeks, but she seems settled, and all the staff seem kind and caring. It is nice to see different rooms for the residents to be in, and the menu for food seems varied and interesting. The team will be making a birthday cake for Mum's 90th birthday, which is very thoughtful. It is a small care home, which means that the team gets to know the residents and their needs well. Our only difficulties were with initially finding a home as we do not live in the local area. The postcode takes you to another road nearby so better signage to Beech Lodge from the main road would be helpful.
Excellent care provided. The staff all very nice and so friendly.
This is a lovely care home with great staff. Moving a relative into care is one of the most difficult decisions you have to make, but with lots of help from staff everything went really smoothly. My uncle has been here for a year now, he has been very well looked after and settled in really well. Cannot praise the staff enough for their wonderful care. Knowing he is safe and well looked after has changed our lives, we were so worried about him before.
My mother receives excellent care and we don't have any worries about her whilst we're not here. All the staff are just fantastic.
Mum seems settled in a very short space of time. The staff and management couldn't be nicer and more caring. We feel confident when we leave Mum that she is happy and being well taken care of.
When I phone Beech Lodge whichever member of staff I speak to, they always know in detail how my cousin is getting on. Without exception, the staff show a very professional and caring attitude. They contact the family regularly when any changes occur and keep us in the loop. My cousin went to Beech Lodge when the pandemic started and it was a difficult time. But the care my cousin has received has been excellent in every respect.
All the staff are helpful, caring, easy to talk to about what is going on with my mum's care. Communication here is good, they let us know if there is a problem or if Mum needs anything.
As always, very happy with the detail and quality of Mum's care. Good food, accurate treatments and information passed freely. 10/10.
