View Full Details of Trewartha Residential and Nursing HomeMy sister, who has learning disabilities, and who has been a resident at Trewartha House since 13th July 2023, has been enveloped in such love, care and warmth in every way possible. That has helped her to settle into this wonderful home very well indeed. She is shown every consideration, dignity, inclusion and she has a purpose being there. All this is even afforded to us, her family, and we are so very grateful for all that is afforded her and us.
Trewartha Residential and Nursing Home is a lovely care home. It is bright, clean and welcoming. The food is amazing and so is the staff. They are very caring and friendly and are doing a wonderful job of looking after my husband. Thank you all for everything you do.
My mum has stayed before and thought so highly of it that when she was unwell again, she had no hesitation in wanting to stay at Trewartha Residential and Nursing Home for some recuperation time following a hospital admission. The staff are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble and my mum particularly enjoyed the craft activities, she did clay work and made a Christmas wreath, amongst other things. They are unfailingly kind, cheerful and show real care to all residents at all times. She loved the food and her room was bright and looked out over a garden area and bird table. Her discharge from hospital was not good but the staff at Trewartha managed to sort all of the things that the discharge missed, from lost medication, to a missing spacer and even a cannula which hadn't been removed in hospital. She has now returned home as she is well enough to do so but if and when she needs some extra care, she would have no hesitation in returning. Thank you to all the staff for going above and beyond.
Mum has recently become a resident at Trewartha. Mum says it's like a top-class hotel, spotlessly clean everywhere. Food is of a high standard and gorgeous, Mum has even put on some weight. Mum loves the friendliness of all the staff who often sit to have a natter, she says they're so lovely and kind. Mum has made friends at the home and loves the company. I visit Mum twice a week and the staff are always so friendly and kind, I am updated on any relevant information to include health issues. I no sooner sit with Mum on my visits and a cup of tea and biscuit appears for us both. I can tell from my visits that Mum is content and happy and most of all safe, and that is all I could hope for my elderly mum. Thank you all staff and management.
We are delighted with the level of care my father is receiving. The staff keep us informed and the nursing staff advise us and deal with any health issues. Whenever we visit all staff members are so welcoming and polite and we cannot fault the care and kindness shown towards my father. A particular mention must be given for the wonderful day my father had recently for his 100th birthday. Everyone made a fuss of him, there were presents, surprises and also a delicious buffet and birthday cake. We are relieved that he has settled and is so happy which gives us peace of mind.
My mum who suffers with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis was admitted to Trewartha House for 2 weeks of respite care on 2nd June 2024. She enjoyed it so much she has now decided to stay. Hooray! I found all the staff so helpful, friendly, accommodating and caring in this excellent home and when I say home I mean home not hospital, mum feels so 'at home' here. The food is enjoyable, varied and healthy, the rooms are clean, kept tidy and well-maintained, entertainment and activities are provided daily, visiting hours are not restricted and residents can be taken out for trips with family, all you have to do is clear it with Trewartha in advance. The house is secure and I feel very confident that my mum is safe, being cared for to the highest standard and is treated with the utmost dignity and respect in this residence. Whenever I have a query or question, no matter how small, it is answered fully with all the information I need and I go away feeling confident, assured and happy.
My elderly friend who suffers from vascular dementia and for whom I have LPOA was admitted to Trewartha House several months ago. I was very impressed from the beginning by all the team (management, carers, nurses, domestic staff and kitchen staff). The staff are friendly, welcoming and it is obvious to me that they enjoy their work. They show commitment, dedication and empathy. Their practice of the core values of care was also apparent while I have been visiting. I would say that the standard of care, knowledge and understanding of individual needs is of a high level. The management and care staff always give me timely updates on any changes to my friend's care plan, health issues, medication changes and any other matter important to the health and well-being of my friend. There is a variety of activities daily to give sensory stimulation to the residents which is important for general wellbeing. Varied choices of menu and all tastes are catered to a high standard.
Cannot ever say so much as to how my mum is looked after at Trewartha Care Home. She was so lucky to have gone to Trewartha. When I heard that it was taken over by a new group I was quite worried, as it turned out, unnecessarily, so I can't believe that it is ever so much better! Well done to all of you at Trewartha.
My Mum moved into Trewartha on February 24. The staff have been fantastic, nothing has been too much trouble to help Mum. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is great and Mum's safety and health are well looked after. I would highly recommend the home.
My dad has been in Trewartha Residential and Nursing Home for nine years and he has been well looked after for his whole stay. The staff have always been very helpful and caring and have always been quick to let me know if there is anything wrong with my dad. Always a very friendly atmosphere when I go the and my dad's room is always clean and tidy.
Warmth, love and excellent caring are only one of the many positive descriptions I could use for the care given to our dear friend. She is extremely happy and settled and so are we. As regular visitors, we are made to feel very welcome indeed, and our visits are greeted with true and honest friendship by all the staff. We are kept very well informed of any up-to-date circumstances and totally trust the dedicated and professional staff to advise as and when necessary. We cannot express our gratitude enough to everyone at Trewartha Residental and Nursing Home and we just know our friend couldn't be in a finer residential setting.
Our daughter has been cared for in Trewartha Residential and Nursing Home for several weeks now and I just wanted to let you know that her care is second to none. We are so happy and relieved that our daughter has not had one seizure in Trewartha although she was having several in her previous care home. The management in Trewartha is very approachable and caring. The staff are all dedicated and caring and all have the resident's interest at heart.
My mother seems very happy with her care. Thank you.
We have found that all the staff at Trewartha House are very friendly, caring and supportive. They have the well-being of all the residents as a priority. The home is very clean and the decor is good. The choice and quality of the food are very good. They have a good and varied range of activities to stimulate the residents. The Coronation celebrations were excellent. The lounge area was decorated with balloons and flags and a lovely party atmosphere was created by the staff. The food was superb and the cake was amazing. Top marks to everyone involved.
We recently moved my mother into Trewartha House - a very rushed decision as our family situation had changed quite drastically. The support we received from the management at Trewartha House was absolutely first-class. My mother was welcomed by all the staff and seemed very relaxed considering it was a huge upheaval for her (she has dementia). The care she is receiving is fabulous. Everyone knows her and looks after her so well. The food is amazing - she enjoys it very much. As a family, we too have been looked after during every visit and feel very relieved that Mum is cared for twenty-four hours a day by such dedicated people. All the staff are amazing and we will be forever grateful to them for the way they care for our precious mum. Thank you is not enough - we are in awe of every single one.
I am very satisfied with the care and assistance that my mother receives. I live abroad and it is of the utmost importance that I can be assured that she is very well looked after and I am constantly informed by the staff of any changes in her health or behaviour.
My mum has been at Trewartha House since September 2022. I had visited the home in August 2022 when looking for a home for Mum. I visited several homes and Trewartha House stood out and was top of my list. I was very lucky that when Mum needed to go into a home, Trewartha had space for her. All staff are lovely, the home is well led and managed and Mum has settled in really well and has made friends and is very happy. I would definitely recommend Trewartha House.
I am very happy with the care my mother is receiving. The staff are all very friendly and do a great job. The food my mother is receiving is first-class. Her room is always tidy and comfortable for her with memories and stimulation all around. Well done, guys.
As a family, we are all very happy with Trewartha House Care Home. The staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is always bright, warm and welcoming. Since moving in Mum has become more involved in daily activities and has made a couple of friends. The food is delicious and plentiful, Mum is eating well and has put on a bit of weight which is good. We like the involvement in the local cafe and the fact that the staff are planning on outings for residents to local attractions now that we are over the worst of the Covid pandemic. Thank you for all you are doing.
A very warm professional and friendly welcome by all staff in the home, nothing but praise for the way all staff care for and support the residents. A light bright home. Food is excellent, home-cooked and all tastes catered for, always plenty of choices.
