An excellent care home with outstanding staff. Everyone is so kind and caring and Mum is so happy here. The manager and her team go above and beyond in all aspects of care and every resident seems happy and well cared for.
After moving our wonderful lady into Alphington Lodge, we found the care home manager very welcoming together with her very caring team. Very clean warm homely bright and cosy. Rooms. Well equipped. Beautiful dining rooms excellent choice of menus. Every attention to detail is taken to entertain and look after the residents. Visit and you will see for yourself. Keep it up, you are all legends.
After having a difficult decision to move Mum into a residential home permanently, we looked at a home prior to looking at Alphington Lodge there was no comparison. Arriving at Alphington Lodge it immediately felt a very welcoming place and each and everyone one of the staff are always happy and cheery, nothing is too much trouble and they all go over and beyond to make sure every resident is cared for. It's clean, the food is very good and the activities are always fun. No one is ever bored and lonely. Would 100% recommend. Very well done Alphington Lodge.
Well, what can I say! Everything about this care home is just perfect for our mum's needs The staff are all extremely warm and friendly. The Manager has been so helpful and always there when you need her. The daily activities are just what Mum needs to help keep her mind stimulated and she is so happy here. It's such a pleasure to visit Mum and to be greeted by such a kind and friendly team.
I was so very grateful to all the staff at Alphington Lodge for taking such good care of my husband as part of their new daycare service. The warm, friendly, caring environment was welcoming and supportive. Staff always welcomed you with a smile and although my husband only visited once a week, he very much felt like one of the Alphington Lodge family. The management welcomed and encouraged feedback which they always took seriously and implemented changes where appropriate and/or necessary. Thank you so very much.
My aunt became terminally ill and was placed in Alphington Lodge. She was treated with kindness, care and dignity, and communication was good. Thank you, Alphington Lodge.
My aunt is very happy at Alphington Lodge she loves all the activities and being social, her room is beautifully newly decorated, carers and managers of the home are amazing they always have time for us when we visit.
As soon as myself and Mum walked into Alphington Lodge to visit, for possible day respite, we decided this was the place for Mum. It was as if we were stepping into a big hug. Mum attends regular day respite and she was happy to stay for the day from the very beginning. All the staff are always lovely and caring, and it is like home from home. Such a lovely atmosphere and kindness are always shown to Mum and other residents. Delicious food and a lovely dining room. We would absolutely recommend Alphington Lodge for anyone considering care.
Mum has lived here for many years now and is very happy here. She enjoys the different activities especially the bingo. She tells us the food is lovely and looks forward to her afternoon tea and cake. The staff are great and are always very welcoming well when we visit.
My mum has been at Alphington Lodge for many years. I have watched it get better and better. The manager is brilliant and we really value being able to talk to her directly, raise any concerns or ask questions and she always has time to do this. There is a great team there, they are very fortunate to have such lovely and caring staff who really do go over and above to make sure mum is cared for, you can see this is genuine, she really thinks the world of a lot of the staff, there is a really warm relationship there. I think it has added another dimension to the level of care with having the activities coordinator and it is nice to see the things Mum has made or engaged in, fantastic to see residents doing things suitable for their abilities. The home is always, it seems, looking at ways to improve, this week they have bought some really lovely new pictures for the corridors. The food is great, I fully recommend their egg sandwiches and cake, not that I would eat it if mum left it!
I have been volunteering since March 2024, I absolutely enjoy it! I have been welcomed since day one! I am still volunteering now! The staff are absolutely incredible with the service users, the service users only have good things to say about this care home! The rooms are so beautifully decorated, when I first came in it felt so homely and the atmosphere when I arrived was so wonderful, everyone was laughing and joking with each other and honestly it was so lovely to hear and see. I have helped out with activities during the weeks and the activities offered are incredible! The staff really take there time to make sure there is a wide range of activities for everyone, from physical activities, to mind games and to the most important game, bingo. All service users have a choice of meals which I think is most important, they get to have a choice and the food always looks lovely and the staff always make sure everyone is happy! I would highly recommend this care home to anyone!
My aunt has lived at Alphington Lodge for 3 years and is very happy and settled there. She has always been treated with the utmost kindness and respect. The staff seem really invested in the ongoing care they provide and management are always happy to discuss any concerns I may have. During the time my aunt has been at the home I've seen social life improve with a wide variety of activities being offered, some entertainment such as singsongs taking place and also trips out which the residents love and which make all the difference to them. I've also noticed over the years I've been visiting that the physical environment is steadily improving with areas being decorated and furniture updated and also the lovely sunny courtyard being improved to provide a pleasant area to sit in when visiting.
All the staff I have met are lovely, friendly and helpful always answer questions I have. My gran has settled well and is safe and looked after. Nice as a visitor that you get offered a cuppa when it's their tea time. Great activities to get them all involved in. Nan likes bingo.
Mum came to Alphington Lodge in May 2023 after being in hospital. The transition from the hospital to the home was amazing - I was so grateful. Mum is as happy as she can be having gone from independent living to residential care. The staff go above and beyond for their care and thoughtfulness for Mum.
I find this home very good, the staff are very good.
Lovely caring home and excellent staff nothing is any trouble, my aunty is well looked after and her needs cared for, all the staff work hard to make sure all the residents are looked after well, nice and friendly place
My aunty has been in Alphington Lodge for eighteen months and from day one she has received wonderful care from five members of staff in particular. They give her every support she needs although she can be difficult at times due to her conditions. It's very difficult to watch at times but the staff have been outstanding. 10/10 .
Our aunt is receiving personalised, thoughtful care. Her health and well-being have visibly improved while at Alphington Lodge. She is able to socialise and spend time outside of her room and is encouraged to improve her mobility day by day. We are most grateful to the staff there for everything they do.
We, as a family, have had the pleasure of my gran passing in this family feel home, after spending a wonder three years there. Since covid ended and a new manager came in just over a year ago, the home has grown from being good to excellent in my view. The carers are so dedicated to care; we often see a few of them on their days off coming in not to work, but spending time with residents. They don't just care for residents they care for residents' families too, especially near the end of grans life - cups of tea and sandwiches were offered - relief during our sad time.
