View Full Details of Beacon HouseMy partner has now been in Beacon House for eight months and I have been so impressed with the kindness, care and dedication shown by both management and staff. Innovative, new ideas have been introduced and have made Beacon House more inviting and homely. Events and activities are thoughtfully planned to stimulate and enhance the lives of residents. I have also had great support and inclusion on my partner's ongoing struggle with dementia. A very sincere thank you to everyone.
It is a joy to see Mum so happy and relaxed at Beacon House. Ok, the home may be a little tired at edges but this pales into insignificance with the first-class care on hand to all residents. The love and warmth of a large family is tangible as you step in through the front door and the support and care are unsurpassable.
I have been in Beacon House since 17th November 2022 and from the start, I was impressed by the commitment of the staff in the care of the residents. The staff were proactive in asking you if you were feeling well and happy and if you had any problems. I have given good feedback for the family environment created by staff and management. Since Friday 10th November 2023, I have, after a risk assessment, been allowed out which has been great.
Have been visiting for nine years. Have noticed a great improvement in management, always helpful and caring. Very rarely see the carers but they seem very good. Rooms and building dated and need total refurbishment. Must be difficult to keep clean.
I spent just over two months in Beacon House as part of my recovery from a stroke. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful which made my stay there far less traumatic than it might have been. I have happy memories of my time there.
My mother moved into Beacon House two months ago and we are so delighted at the transformation in her happiness and wellbeing. The staff already know her individual needs and she is obviously benefiting from their excellent care. She is not nearly so stressed about her memory loss and enjoys the many activities and outings they arrange. The meals are very wholesome and the tea/coffee trolley is always doing its rounds. The management are very high calibre and hands-on. The home is comfortable, well heated and has a family atmosphere. My mother’s room is ideal for her, though she prefers to be out in the communal area all day engaging with the other residents and staff. So much better for her than when she lived alone in her flat getting more and more agitated. We congratulate all those working at Beacon House on making my mother’s old age as happy as possible.
A very good home, great atmosphere and all round care. Good food and interesting menu, plenty for the residents to do with regular entertainment. Residents encouraged to engage and take part in activities.
We feel blessed to have found Beacon House with the wonderful managers. They have gone out of their way to make our mother feel at home and dealt with some of her fairly difficult moments. The staff in general are kind, patient and always smiling. We count ourselves very lucky.
My sister and I have had fantastic service from the manager and all the staff with regard to our elderly mother with dementia. They have all gone above and beyond to make her comfortable and communicate effectively with us.
