Wonderful, attentive and loving care.
My partner settled really well at Rose Lodge after a stay in hospital. All the staff are fantastic - very friendly, caring and kind. The home is very homely, it has a lovely garden and the more able residents have regular trips out.
My wife has been attending weekly daycare at Rose Lodhge for around 18 months. She had moderate to advanced Alzheimer's and during her time at Rose Lodge, we have had nothing but praise for the care, support, and cognitive stimulation she has received. Rose Lodge is warm and welcoming and the staff is thoroughly professional, kind, and caring. Home from home is the thought that comes to mind when I think of Rose Lodge and the benefits my wife gains from her weekly visits are priceless. I couldn't thank Rose Lodge enough for the care they give her.
All the staff are friendly and very professional. Management are friendly. It feels like you are visiting family. So welcoming. Treated my Mum with dignity, respect, and love. Thank you.
Rose Lodge is a fantastic place. My Dad has been there for many years now. They are great for looking after people with dementia. They have always had a lot of things going on, from animals coming to visit to people coming to sing. This week they had a local school visiting.
We visit Rose Lodge every week and are always welcomed by all staff. Mum is safe, happy, and well cared for. The staff understand her needs and are able to support Mum with the everyday tasks she doesn't do well on her own. This includes personal hygiene and wellbeing. Rose Lodge has a minibus and takes Mum and other residents on trips away from the home which is enjoyed by everyone. We have witnessed so many lovely acts of care and kindness by the staff to residents which seems to come naturally for them all.
Strengths - Treating each resident as an individual and getting to know them well. The social media page: Keeps family and friends up to date. The carers - are approachable, empathetic, and happy. The frequent and regular entertainment. The overall atmosphere and ethos. To improve - Availability of monthly programme sheet. Monitoring outings for wheelchair users, to take turns.
There is always a warm and friendly atmosphere at Rose Lodge, and the residents are treated with affection and respect.
My dad has been cared for at Rose Lodge for nearly 2 years. He has advanced Alzheimer's. He is treated with dignity, love, and respect. I cannot speak highly enough of the exemplary care he receives. I could not ask for better care in his own home. The meals are delicious and all home-cooked. Entertainment is wide-ranging and daily. A wonderful care home.
Rose Lodge is a warm and welcoming home from home. Mum came first as a day visitor to give us respite and enjoyed helping to wash up and cheer up other residents. She is now in The Lodge and is always well dressed and looks content. The food is lovely and nutritious. The staff are friendly and attentive. Thank you to all.
Mum is now in the final stages of her dementia and we are so grateful to the staff of Rose Lodge for their thoughtful care of her over the last 5 years. Their communication, through social media posts of photos, the newsletter, the in-person conversations, and support for the family is second to none. I feel fully aware and informed of Mum's treatment plan and am always welcomed at whatever hour of the day or evening I call. Most importantly, I feel their love and care for all the residents in everything they plan and do.
The team welcomed my Mother who transferred in from another county and have made her feel part of the community, settling her in and making her feel very at home. It came after she had a fall so there was a bit of disposition for my Mum which she has been able to successfully navigate with the support of the Rose Lodge staff. I haven't seen my Mum so engaged in her surroundings when in hospital for a number of years only confirming it was the right decision for her to be in such a supported, caring social environment.
My Dad moved to Rose Lodge after we were told that the care home he was in could 'no longer meet his needs.'. While horribly stressful at the time, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he is so much happier at Rose Lodge. An atmosphere of warmth and kindness permeates the place. Residents are treated as individuals, and every effort is made to stimulate and entertain, as well as look after physical needs. It honestly feels like a home from home and our family is so grateful that Dad is settled and happy there. He couldn't be in a better place.
Very kind and caring. Nice range of activities but what really makes Rose Lodge stand out is the level of personalised care and kindness. The only difficulty is that the phone system is very poor. Calls to Rose Lodge are frequently interrupted through a poor signal that never seems to be fixed.
A very pleasant home. I am always welcome and informed how my mother is and if there are any problems, they are discussed. All staff are helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed.
I can't stress highly enough how great the staff at Rose Lodge are with Mum. She's treated with care and dignity. There are plenty of activities that all the residents can join in with that stimulate both the mind and body.
More than one year on I still believe my mother is in the right place for her. Access to the outside and opportunities to venture further are very important to her, as are caring, friendly staff, ready to have a joke, and stimulating activities along with time sitting in the sun with a friend. There is always a welcoming homely atmosphere, and I am reassured that staff have Mum's wellbeing in mind.
I cannot thank all the staff at Rose Lodge enough for all the personal and emotional care Mum received during her stay as a resident in the cottage. All her care was delivered with total compassion, dignity and love. Sadly Mum passed at the beginning of June, our experience of all the staff's attention to Mum's changing needs was with the utmost professionalism and care. Nothing was too much trouble to help care for Mum, be it equipment, extra care or advice from healthcare professionals. As a family, we could visit at any time and were always welcomed with friendly faces, offered drinks, food and time to talk. Social outings, animal and music therapies, cooking, crafts and keep-fit sessions all greatly contributed to Mum's engagement and enjoy her last few months. Having her hair and nails looked after weekly was so important to her well-being. Rose Lodge family provided all these wonderful experiences that we would not been able to at home. Thank you Rose Lodge for caring for our mum and for the compassion and love you showed us at the end.
Rose Lodge is an excellent facility staffed with caring and empathetic staff who strive to respect the dignity and desires of residents. I am very happy that my mother is so well cared for and I no longer have to worry about her wellbeing.
My wife has been a resident for seven years and I have been visiting regularly for the last seven years. I have been most thankful for the fact that during all that time and despite many changes of staff she has nearly always been happy to be in Rose Lodge. I have been particularly stuck by how staff at all levels have always been so welcoming to me and more importantly been so caring and friendly towards my wife.
Wonderful, attentive and loving care.
