View Full Details of Greenhill Residential HomeMy mother received the kindest care throughout her stay. The staff are so thoughtful and responsive to the needs she had. Her medical care was carried out swiftly, with gentle encouragement, without pressure, at meal times, and social events and in ways that sought to maintain my mother's sense of inclusion. The team showed enormous sensitivity throughout, but especially in the days of her decline and death. They were always present, supporting my dad, who remains in their care.
During the last month, my Mother has been very poorly. The staff have been kind and caring to her and to me. Even the cleaning staff have had a positive influence on her, trying to cheer us all up. Suitable food has been provided - even preparing Mum's favourites to try to tempt her to eat. Medical professionals have been called upon at the appropriate times. My Mother has been comfortable, clean, and safe.
On entering Greenhill you are always finding cleanliness, warm greetings as staff are very kind and helpful. The rooms are so homely and spacious with ensuite facilities. The food is extremely high quality and any extras well are catered for.
A purpose-built, bright and airy residential home with supportive and caring staff. The accommodation is always very clean and residents clothing is always swiftly cleaned and returned freshly ironed. Rooms are basically furnished but can be personalised for individuals to make residents feel more at home. Meals are freshly prepared and nutritious, with regular tea/coffee runs and snacks available. The garden is small but enclosed and safe with plenty of seating. Within a week everyone knew my brother's name and greeted him kindly wherever he was. The family have been impressed by the care provided and proactive responses to care needs as required. We would be very happy to recommend this facility, as it was recommended to us, by the family of a previous resident.
The home is well presented, and the staff are pleasant at all times to residents and visitors. I always feel welcome when I come. The residents all seem happy. The food looks good when I visit after lunch, and all seems a good home.
My husband was suffering from various illnesses in 2022 and I was lucky enough to be able to find a place at Greenhill Residential Home which was able to take him in at the beginning of January last year. I'm pleased to be able to say that he how seems settled there and I am grateful that he us being well looked after. I am grateful that he is now in a suitable home and also a lot nearer than he was before.
My husband moved into Greenhill in June 2021 and settled very well. He says he feels safe there and all staff look after them well. I'm sure the activities provided at Greenhill sound excellent but my husband has always been antisocial and nothing would persuade him to join in. This means he stays in his room all the time and staff do their best to keep checking on him. Any problems come from staff being busy and sometimes short-staffed, as all homes suffer from. Overall a good home.
The care home has all the qualities of a good hotel with the addition of the first-class caring facilities. The staff are cheerful and friendly. They go out of their way to look after the residents and treat us as individuals, whilst being efficient, competent and respectful. A first-class care home, well beyond my expectations.
I found that Greenhill Residential Home is run quite well. Possibly would improve with more staff. Food and cleanliness are good.
A message from my Nan, she had a short stay and then sadly died in June 2021. I found notes she had left... for me, her granddaughter, to let you know: 'It’s a very nice care home and the staff are all lovely. I just want to go home. It’s not the food, the food is lovely, I wanna eat it but I feel sick. And there are no telephones in the rooms. And thank you.' And thanks for making my Nan feel at home, especially in her last moments, that will be very dear to me and she went at her own will to bed and went in her sleep content in God's hands. Thank you from the family.
My husband has been a full-time resident since May 2019. Without exception, all staff treat residents with great kindness and respect, the management team are well trained and make sure all needs are taken care of.
When we first set foot inside Greenhill Residential Home during our search for better care than my mother was receiving, we knew it was a very special place. Arriving unannounced, the warm welcome and smiles on the faces of residents and staff alike said it all. Tastefully decorated, the home is spotlessly clean and welcoming.
When my husband and I first stepped into Greenhill Care Home, we were relieved to find a beautiful, clean, welcoming and homely residence. Our first impression was continually reinforced by the dedicated staff who, along with their professionalism, showed a genuine care for all the residents. Staff enjoy chatting to residents and visitors; we have seen how this has helped my mother make connections and feel at home. She has told us that she is very happy there, has made friends, and looks forward to the daily activities and particularly, the weekly hairdressers visit! Thank you to all the wonderful staff!
So happy that Mum is being so well cared for, here over six months ago in Greenhill Care Home. Every single care worker is always so positive and forthcoming to Mum's urgent requirements. Never a dull moment here, maximum effort maintained, and when something is needed to update or change, it is always pointed out to me as soon as possible. Love everyone's engagement together, to always put a little smile on the resident's faces, no matter how difficult it can be.
The staff of this care home quite simply care a lot about the residents - showing a huge amount of patience and understanding during some very testing times. The longer you get to know the staff the more you can understand the stress that they are under - long shifts which are very tiring especially. Each and every member of staff, from the manager to the domestic staff are always happy to see you - they make time to make you feel welcome like you are actually in the home of the individual (in my case my father) you are visiting. Greenhill Care Home have given my mum a far better quality of life than I could possibly have done - she has had her moments of being difficult but you wouldn't know it from the reaction of the staff. Quite simply, I believe they are really special.
Mum is very content with the care and attention that she receives and conveys those thoughts to us regularly. She receives frequent and considerate and sympathetic attention and there are always events and things of interest for her. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is always clean, neat and tidy.
When my sister first set foot inside Greenhill Care Home, after visiting two care homes which she did not like, she said "I like this place". Her view and ours, has not changed since she became a resident in late June 2018. All the staff are friendly, helpful and capable and this modern care home is very clean with excellent décor and facilities and the ensuite bedrooms are of a good size. The food provided is good, ample and varied and it is a shame that my sister's breathing difficulties have resulted in her being unable to enjoy this to the full. The ambience of Greenhill is very good. Enabling residents to receive visitors in peaceful surroundings.
