View Full Details of Moors Park HouseMum is staying temporarily after being in hospital for 2 months. The staff are lovely, friendly, and helpful, not just to my mum but to myself. The manager is really lovely and knows what she is doing. The home is very nice, Mum's room is good. Can't thank you enough for caring for her.
Were able to split payments between siblings and are always willing to work with the family in awkward times. Care is always tip-top, just glad they don't send Mum to 'skid row' when circumstances change.
My friend became very unwell. The team at Moors Park were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. My friend had no family to sit with her so a member of staff sta with her when possible, after her passing they made all the next steps very easy for me as I had Power of Attorney. I am grateful to them all. Moors Park is a kind and caring team.
The family of our much-loved mum, gran and great-grandmother we would like to thank Moors Park House for providing such a wonderful second home to mum in the final months of her life. From the very first moment, she was welcomed into Moors Park and it's lovely relaxed, caring and homely atmosphere, without exception the staff gave mum such wonderful care, always kind, considerate and respectful. The family was always welcomed and any query or request was dealt with without any trouble. All sorts of activities are provided, including gentle exercise, sing-along music afternoons and much more. A true haven for older people needing end-of-life care.
My mum was a resident of Moors Park House for eight years until her death 4 weeks ago. In all that time, she was well cared for by all staff members. The weight that was lifted off my shoulders, knowing that she was in safe hands, cannot be understated. I was contacted when any issue arose concerning my mum and I will be forever grateful to the team at Moors Park House, whose constant care enabled my mum to reach the grand old age of 94 years old.
This home has everything for those needing support with dementia. The care staff treat all residents with the respect they deserve, they are compassionate and extremely tolerant, in what can be very challenging circumstances. My mum stayed here for the last 8 months of her life and it was, without question, the best gift I could have given her. The staff communicate well with each other leading to consistency in the care given, with local NHS support as required. The rooms are well arranged, all leading to the spacious central eating/relaxing area with TV lounges and activities to keep residents active and engaged. There is a relaxed atmosphere, with opportunities for social contact if the resident is capable of interacting. Those needing additional support are given this. The food and catering provided is nutritionally balanced and supports the well-being of those residents with a range of needs. The senior manager can be a little brusque at times, but the deputy and care staff excel!
I am overall impressed with the service from your staff. Nothing is too much trouble. They are polite, kind, and seem to care about the residents. My Mum seems to get on well with them and they bring a look of happiness to her face. Many thanks.
Since coming into Moors Park in 2014, my mother has been well looked after and both she and I agree that the care given is excellent. The manager is kind and understanding of the resident's needs and, as I live a good distance away and cannot visit very often, keeps me updated on her health as necessary. The staff are very caring and look after Mum well and she is happy and feels safe and secure. This year has been difficult for all with the Covid-19 lockdown preventing visits. During this time, the manager sent regular updates on the situation and thanks to the tremendous effort and diligence of management and staff, the home remained Covid free. The manager also sent photos of residents enjoying activities during the lockdown and arranged for Skype sessions for relatives to keep in touch. The home is always clean and laundry well kept. Mum enjoys her meals which are well presented and tailored to suit her appetite.
Health and wellbeing are constantly monitored by caring staff, familiar with the issues associated with old age. The carers are loving, understanding, cheerful and respectful. I am informed by telephone if my parent suffers a fall or is unwell and I have had regular updates by email, during the Coronavirus lockdown. Visitors are made very welcome when entering the home, there are no strict visiting times. Medicines are administered safely around mealtimes and reluctant eaters are individually encouraged to have their meals and the quantity eaten is noted. Fruit juice is always available in rooms and at mealtimes. Dirty clothes are laundered on a daily basis and returned clean and fresh and put away. Rooms are cleaned every day. Varied activities are provided every week for those who wish to participate, and special occasions such as Easter or VE Day celebrated with music, etc. Personal care is sympathetically provided and residents encouraged to remain as independent as possible.
Our family have been very fortunate to find such a good place for our brother. The staff understand him very well, despite his limitations and we feel that his needs are very well met. Moors Park House is a clean, friendly and welcoming home and the manager always has time to speak to us.
My mum visited Moors Park after breaking her hip in a fall and was resident for about eight weeks for rehabilitation. We found the home and her room very clean. The staff were exceptional, very caring, and most of all for my mum, very encouraging to get her moving and active again. The staff treated her with respect and kindness. It was so lovely to see a very high level of activities for the residents. As visitors, we were always welcomed, and the staff were very friendly and always made time to have a chat. We were very sad to say goodbye when Mum returned home and certainly will look into Mum returning for respite care.
My family and I have been most impressed by the staffing levels and care provided. My mother was diagnosed with Dementia, and the staff worked constantly to engage her in conversation and activities. She recently passed away at Moors Park. We cannot thank the staff enough for their sensitive attention during her last few days.
Above all, our feelings of the team at Moors Park home are that they care. The management and staff treat residents with dignity and pay good attention to their feelings.
I have been visiting Moors Park House to see my friend for two and a half years. Despite all the demands on them from many of the residents. I have always found the staff helpful, caring and friendly. My friend the resident agrees with this. I have had no reasons for concern on any matters. Good management = Good staff= Happy residents.
All we know is that mum seems to be very happy here.
Having had my father previously in 2 homes it was wonderful to find Moors Park House. Sadly my mother joined him 18 months later and is still residing there. I have found everyone at the home extremely helpful, friendly and caring especially when my father sadly passed away and the continued care of my mother.
My mother moved into Moors Park in December 2018 she has dementia. She has settled in well and seems happy and content the worry issues have gone. I put this down to the staff who are kind, considerate and professional but with a sense of humour. They treat residents as individuals. Regular checks are undertaken on health and welfare. The accommodation is immaculate, the food good and varied. Visitors are encouraged. Moors Park was recommended to me and I would recommend it if asked.
Care was taken to welcome my mother and help us make her room comfortable and familiar. She was encouraged to participate in the regular activities on offer. There are personal care professionals eg hairdressrs, chiropodist etc and Mum was supported to make use of these. Staff addressed her with good humour and respect. She particularly enjoyed the Christmas party. We would like to have been kept better informed of Mum's physical/mental state.
Care given by all staff far exceeded my expectation. Lovely atmosphere.
The overall standard was excellent. I was treated with dignity. The staff were caring. Management made me feel welcomed. The rooms are clean and bright. The food is good. Activities are excellent. Safely/security is excellent.
