View Full Details of SandhurstThe staff are very welcoming, caring and very professional. They had shown my father so much love and care in the short time he was there and also made me feel very welcome on my daily visits. I can't thank them enough for how they all looked after my dad even though he had little understanding, I am sure he was very grateful and happy while he was in their care. Thank you so much to everyone for the first-class care he received, you are all wonderful!
I cannot give enough praise to the staff at Sandhurst and the care they give. In the 18 months that my father has been living at the home, he has been shown so much love and compassion. His face lights up every time the carers call into his room! He has told me how happy he is to be living there; this has eased the strain on our relationship, knowing that he is happy and receiving the best care. Dad has always been quite fussy about his food, and the staff at Sandhurst always consult him on what he would like at mealtimes! His appetite has improved so much since living there. I am always kept informed of changes to his health and know that I can call Sandhurst at any time if I need to. Staff have a very professional, caring attitude.
I think things have improved since first arrival; you can tell lately they are trying to improve things, like cleaning etc. I can't comment on hot dinners as I have never seen one, but would like to! Overall, I am happy. My mum always looks clean, and the staff are always friendly.
My experience has been very positive. The staff are professional, kind and caring for our needs.
Very clean and friendly. Been here for quite a while.
A homely environment where staff are friendly and efficient, always alert to the needs of residents even with challenging behaviour. Doctors and nurses informed in the first instance. Very approachable management who will answer any concerns. Althogether a warm and calm care home.
In my last review, I commented about the toilet area in my mum's room needing attention, I am very pleased to say the work to spruce it up was done very quickly, paintwork freshened up and floor area spruced up as well. I would like to say well done to the management and maintenance man for such prompt action. It is also nice to have more music on in the mornings. The home is looking very festive and it is always decorated nicely on special occasions.
My dad became a resident of Sandhurst nearly two years ago and has received an excellent standard of care and support. There is a great atmosphere at Sandhurst and every resident is treated as an individual. The staff do a great job and became a second family for my dad. Sadly he passed away in August 2019 but was treated with dignity and love in his final days by the staff, who provided a great deal of support not only to him but to me.
The staff at Sandhurst are superb, they treat the patients as individuals. My uncle has thrived here. I can't praise them highly enough.
I am very pleased with the service she gets in the home she is always clean and tidy and the food is excellent.
My mother has been at Sandhurst since the end of January 2015 and I consider her care first class. The staff are friendly and approachable and the manager is always available to answer any questions if necessary.
Sandhurst is a very friendly and welcoming place. My mother is very well looked after and always looks clean and tidy. The only drawback is there is not enough activities to keep her motivated as her dementia is not as bad as a lot of the residents but she does enjoy it when there is music for entertainment.
Putting your loved one's into care is a tough decision at best, mum has been at Sandhurst for nearly two years, and is generally very happy there. Staff are warm and considerate, her room is kept clean and she is well cared for. Any small issues brought up are dealt with in a pleasant manner. Mum's room is large and comfortable and we've been encouraged to make it like her home. She has a great rapport with the staff, and they are sincere and genuine. Sandhurst is our first experience of care home, and we have been surprised and very happy with our choice. The manager keeps staff on their toes, but also ensures a happy long serving team. Long may it last!
My cousin is treated with compassionate care which is not always easy, as she is very forgetful and difficult at times. The food is very good and the staff are very professional, caring and always willing to help - it is a very friendly atmosphere there. Her bedroom is up in the attic with a low ceiling and she is a tall person, so not really satisfactory, although clean. Difficult access at the back to take her out in the car, lots of steps at the front.
My mother (100yrs old) has, in the last two months, had a serious crisis which changed her from an independent lady to someone in crisis. Owing to her age and the opinion of her family she became an urgent admission and taken into a residential home. After 10 days they decided they could not look after her and she was admitted to Sandhurst. They have been understanding and extremely caring. The building and décor is "homely" which suits my mother and, I suspect, most people of her generation. The words I would use to describe the home are homely, comfortable and very caring.
Sandhurst is an excellent home to stay, I came here to put on weight and have a good rest, and management and staff have achieved this to an excellent standard. Everything about Sandhurst is based on a family affair. I would recommend Sandhurst to anyone who needs care. First class.
