View Full Details of The Manor HouseMy dad left hospital in a terrible state. He was anxious, unhappy and distressed. Within 24 hours the change in him has been amazing. Since being admitted to The Manor House he is much happier, says the food is great (he is quite fussy), he has slept and the staff are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. I was so worried about leaving him there but I needn't have worried. The relief I feel knowing he is in safe hands and is being treated so well is very reassuring.
Excellent care - team very gentle and kind. Management very supportive, great communication with family. Special mention to three staff members in particular who go above and beyond to make sure my mum is comfortable and receives the relevant treatment she requires even when under pressure.
The Manor House has been an absolute joy to find. The staff are amazing and could not be more helpful. It has made life so much more comfortable for my mum and given myself and whole family some peace of mind. Residents are treated as individuals and respected and given the time and space that they need. Wonderful. Thank you!
I was extremely happy with the effort and hard work, all staff at The Manor House helped to make Mum's 90th birthday a day to remember with dancing, singing, a wonderful musician, beautiful cake, lunch and buffet. Thanks to the chef. Staff and residents joined in to make it a wonderful day for Mum, her family and residents. Thank you for all your hard work, it was very much appreciated. Team leader came in on day off to celebrate Mum's birthday, thanks to all staff for a wonderful day.
I have resided in The Manor House for just over two years. The staff are all knowledgable to my needs and most have good humour. My food is to a good standard and kept to routine. If I wanted to go up to the lounge I could join in but choose not to.
I feel staff are very caring and my husband is safe.
My father was admitted, by the hospital, in February for assessment. He did not want to go into any home for any length of time and had maintained this view for a very long time. So after a few weeks, it was a completely welcome surprise to find that he enjoyed it so much that he wanted to stay. For me, this change along with support from the manager during the assessment period was amazing. My father is now at Manor House permanently and I am delighted, as is my father. The staff are lovely with him and he is encouraged to keep himself and his room looking tiptop. The facilities are just what my father needs and the activities are perfect with dancing and singing at the top of his list. I know now that I can relax; he is in safe, caring hands.
Manor House Care Home has been very helpful to my grandad since arriving. His overall health and mood has improved. His room could be more updated and a bigger one would be preffered but it's clean and acceptable. Food is great. Grandad has settled well here. Staff are very nice and helpful. The receptionist and manager are great and approachable.
The experience is good and overall good and staff efficient.
As care homes go, The Manor House is one of the better ones. With all places like this, a little refurbishment is needed. The people that work there are very kind and trustworthy.
My mother went to his care home in a situation of crisis. She had fairly advanced dementia and is in a wheelchair. I would not have chosen the home as it is a converted building and not really suitable. As I am not her POA, I cannot change the situation. I also live 4-5 hours drive away and can only visit every 4-6 weeks. It is difficult for me to provide a fair assessment. I can say my mother always seems content and well cared for and the staff always caring and welcoming. Like many care homes, the manager has changed frequently in the last couple of years. The stresses of coping with Covid which the staff managed well.
The staff were excellent with my sister-in-law and she settled in well after her stay in hospital. She enjoyed her meals and they catered for her diet. Staff were always friendly to her visitors.
My father went into the Manor House in December 2021. The staff are excellent, really friendly and look after my father brilliantly. They're very quick with responding to him if needed and they have a laugh and banter with him. The room is clean, modern and Dad is happy there.
Our brother-in-law was looked after in the care home for almost two years. We were impressed with how kind and caring the staff were. Whoever we spoke to either on the phone or in-person was patient, kind, helpful and understanding. Our brother-in-law settled quickly and was happy despite suffering various health problems. We were grateful for the way he was looked after.
My mother was placed here as she needed more care. I have been very impressed by how clean it is, the care my mother receives, how clean she is and there is always someone checking on her. Her room is warm, clean and spacious. Mum seems happy here and anything I am concerned about is promptly dealt with. The staff are lovely too.
I am so happy with the care provided at Manor House for my mum. She is kept, warm, clean and very well fed. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are extremely caring and thoughtful. The home always smells so nice and clean and is always warm and welcoming, when we visit Mum. I can even bring the dogs in to visit.
My mum came into Manor House straight from hospital back in December 2020, I cannot thank the staff enough for all the support and help and amazing care they have given my mum. She is so happy here and also has a good rapport with staff.
My mothers 92nd Birthday, the care home arranged a little party with a beautiful cake with candles (not 92). Mum has constant UTI and does get confused, but the home keeps on top of these episodes so she can participate in the entertainment days. Most of the regular staff are good at communicting with mum and share a joke with her.
My husband was admitted to The Manor House in 2018. He was transferred from hosptial and I was told he was unlikely to walk again after breaking his leg and afterwards, having a massive heart attack. He has since been doing physio and is improving his mobility to walk with an aid and partly wheelchair, this has happened due to the hard work of all the carers.
In June 2017, my mum's safety was at risk as she began wandering and leaving the premises of the nursing home she was in so it was time to move her. Manor House was the third home I visited and I knew as soon as I was greeted by a member of staff that this was the home for mum. I was made to feel very welcome and this has continued to this day. Manor House may look a little tired in places but I believe the care is outstanding and mum is no longer the anxious lady that she was. All residents can wander freely within the home and enter the garden which is safe and secure. Hand on heart I can honestly say that the staff all speak with kindness, compassion and respect to all residents and I would like to say thank you for making mum and myself feel very lucky under the circumstances.
