Mum has been a resident in Plymbridge House for about six weeks and has settled in very well. The staff have gone to great lengths to bring her out of her shell and encourage her to join in the activities which she seems to enjoy. The cleanliness and standard of food are both first class. The staff care is exemplary and nothing is too much trouble. When visiting they are more than happy to stop for a chat and keep me well informed on Mum's progress. I'm glad my Mum is in such good hands and would recommend Plymbridge House to anyone looking for a friendly caring home.
I wanted to write a further review for my dad, who lived at Plymbridge House, his home from home for the past 18 months, until he sadly passed last month. The end of life care the dedicated staff at Plymbridge gave to my dear dad was absolutely exceptional. He was tended to gently, and professionally by all the wonderful carers who ensured his final days were pain free, dignified, and comfortable. We were able to be with dad freely, with no restrictions of time, and they also provided support to us as a family. We feel incredibly grateful that dad was in their kind care. If you are reading this review and contemplating your own, or a relatives move into Plymbridge, then I do not hesitate to recommend. Thank you Plymbridge, you are all angels.
My mum only arrived two months ago but has been treated with kindness and respect by everyone. All the staff go above and beyond and the fact so many have worked there for so long really does speak volumes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plymbridge House to anyone looking for a well-run home with friendly, cheerful, and caring staff.
My Mother-in-law moved in 3 weeks ago, and I have found the staff really kind. The care has been excellent. The home is very clean. Senior staff are helpful and supportive. And I would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for a care home.
My father has been at Plymbridge House for almost 5 years now. He originally entered the home for 2 weeks of respite as he was struggling on his own. At home he had visiting carers twice a day but was not coping at all well and at the time, it didn't seem he had much time left for this world. Once at Plymbridge House care home he was reluctant to leave, he felt secure, and had care available and company there. He has remained at Plymbridge ever since and remains in good health almost 5 years later due to the care and support he receives. The carers, seniors, admin, and managers have always been approachable, helpful, sportive and professional. I can only thank all at the home for their support to my father and to myself.
My Mum has been in the home now for just over 2 years. She has settled in well due to the lovely staff who are kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are all amazing. Any issues I have had have been redressed very quickly.
Every staff member is always willing to offer assistance. They have a smile and caring attitude regardless of the situation. I visit during a weekday and often there is work in progress to improve the safety or conditions for the residents, so the home looks welcoming. I also notice the range of activities that are on offer to ensure there is plenty of opportunities to live life to the full. I always feel my Mother is being given the best care. Many thanks to all the staff for their hard work and dedication.
My sister and I visited our aunt. She is looking well and enjoys the meals. She appears to be well cared for. The home is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Office staff have also been very helpful with any queries.
My Mother-in-law has been a resident at Plymbridge House for seven years and has always received excellent care.
The most outstanding aspect of Plymbridge House is the staff. The senior carers are totally focused on the residents. The care assistants, I haven't met one yet who I wouldn't trust with my Mother. She has always been treated with kindness and respect. The staff are always cheerful despite the long hours. I have no hesitation in recommending Plymbridge House to anyone's parents or relatives needing care.
What a lovely afternoon tea at Plymbridge House! (15th September) my stepfather is a resident here. Thank you for the usual 100% care and kindness of the staff, as they could not do enough for Dad or the other residents, (as usual) just really wanted to comment, as credit should be given and well deserved. Thank you again.
On searching around for a home for our father we were concerned as you always hope you have picked the right one. After 1wk of him being a resident we cannot stress how we feel we have struck gold. Everything the staff do is centred around making the residents feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. Social activities are regular and socialising is encouraged. The facilities are excellent and the food is delicious. Residents' family and friends are encouraged to get as much involved as they wish to. I truly cannot find 1 negative regarding his care or the home. On each visit I find something more I'm impressed with! I would really like to thank every member of staff for their help and professionalism. Before looking anywhere else I would check this home out 1st.
Having placed my father in the care of Plymbridge House I've had nothing but positive things to say about it. It has exceeded all my expectations. It's not been an easy transition for myself as I've only ever seen my dad so mobile and independent. Everyone has been caring and patient with him encouraging him to keep going with being mobile and sociable. Home from home.
Excellent care and support. Nothing is too much trouble. Treated with dignity and respect at all times. The meals are very nutritious and varied each day. Residents are encouraged to participate in social activities on a daily basis. Entertainers come in regularly to sing to the residents and encourage residents to participate. During the warmer months residents are encouraged to sit in the garden. Family and friends of residents are always made to feel welcome.
My mum has been there nearly 3 years, over the last 12 months she has needed more care, they couldn't do any more for her physically or mentally, they are wonderful and so understanding of my mum and myself, my mum loves the people that care for her which puts my mind at rest, she's nearly 95 and I don't think I would still have her if she wasn't there, all the staff are lovely and so very patient and understanding.
Although my Mum has only been in Plymbridge for a short time the staff have been so kind and reassuring looking after Mum. As she only lost her husband a short time ago it was a very difficult decision to make. She seems to be thriving and looked after with dignity and respect. Lovely to see. Many thanks to the staff.
Mum had a two-week respite stay at Plymbridge House. She is prone to falling, but I'm happy to say that Mum had no falls here. Activities were good to keep Mum occupied and we even had a singalong one day. She enjoyed the food. Thanks to all the staff. Would be happy for Mum to have another stay here.
My lovely dad moved in only a short time ago, myself, who works in the care sector was I think more anxious than my dad was moving into a care home and having to leave his home and place where he has lived for over 30 years. From the time he arrived, we were all made welcome. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble, friendly, caring happy and always plenty of laughter. I popped in to see my dad today, it was so lovely to see him happy always talking about the meals he's had and the banter he has with the staff, he wanted to go for a little walk up to the lounge, there was a singer there, I could not believe that he walked through all the other residents doing his little jig with his frame, took a seat and actually joined in with the singing. It brought a tear to my eye to see my dad happy and not feeling afraid and anxious. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your care and support, and for making my dad and a very anxious daughter very happy.
I have been visiting a friend at Plymbridge House for about a year and I meet members of the staff, everyone is friendly, helpful and my friend is happy and well cared for. The home is fresh and clean. Everyone seems happy. I don't have much experience visiting care homes and so things like food and drink, management, security, and facilities I don't really know about. I think the home-baked cakes look good. The staff are engaged with the residents and often activities are organised in the conservatory. Altogether a very happy atmosphere. If I had more care homes experience to compare I would not be surprised if Plymbridge House is near the top.
