View Full Details of BosworthMy mum has been in the care home now for 3 months, and since she has been there has improved in both health & mentality no end. She settled in immediately & is very happy and contented which has been a huge relief to me. When I visit her I find the staff welcoming & friendly and Mum has a good sized room, which is always clean & sweet smelling. I couldn't be happier for my mum, knowing she is in a safe & happy environment.
I am very pleased with the care my mother is receiving and with the support offered to the family. When it becomes difficult for someone to live independently, difficult decisions have to be made; it is so reassuring to know that the staff consider all involved. My mother has also had medical needs which have been very quickly addressed. I find the staff very friendly and approachable, whatever time I visit. Importantly, my mother loves the company and the food- and is clearly thriving on it!
My mother has settled into care home life and appears to get on well with both residents and carers (good rapport and banter). Carers are very patient with my mother when she 'tidies up' and is always on the 'go' and fussing over the other residents. Any issues that arise are dealt with promptly. We are kept up to date on my mother's care on a regular basis.
Staff always friendly and welcoming, keeps family informed of any incidents/illnesses. Mum seems very happy here, which is reassuring.
My mum was a resident at Bosworth for 15 years. The care given to her throughout was excellent in every respect, from a position of being unable to care for herself until dementia overtook her at the end of her life. I felt she was safe, secure and well cared for and she was happy to be there. The staff are friendly and helpful to residents and visitors, and each member of staff knew each resident well, helped by Bosworth being one of the smaller care homes locally. I felt I could always visit whenever I reasonably wished, and I liked the fact that the management team or her key worker could be approached to discuss any matter at any time. The home has a friendly atmosphere, the food is good and varied. I would recommend.
Mum has been a resident at Bosworth for three years. She is very well looked after, the home is clean and welcoming, and they provide lots of activities. I'm notified of any changes needed for her care and any questions are quickly answered. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very nice compact care home in a quiet residential area opposite a bird sanctuary. Residents receive good care from the staff and are treated well. Facilities are good with some outdoor activities. Food is excellent, care represents good value for money. Would recommend.
Friendly, homely care home. Staff are welcoming and informative. Excellent level of care and support given to residents.
I have been visiting a dear friend who is now a resident. Having had little experience of care homes, I am really impressed with Bosworth. The staff make me feel very welcome and at any time, they are patient and caring towards the residents. The whole place seems calm and quiet whenever I visit.
I came here in August 2023 because I had and still have very bad knees. I couldn't manage to climb stairs where I was living. At first, I found it strange but over the months have gotten used to being here. I find the staff very good and will help you as much as possible.
My experience on the times I have visited my friend, the staff have always been friendly and happy. My friend is always very clean and organised. Food choice is amazing and always seems calm and a very lovely dining area for all of them.
Excellent care and service to my parents. Such peace of mind knowing they are safe. Couple of small things that parents mentioned were dealt with straight away in a caring and professional manner.
Wonderful care home, Mum is safe and very well looked after. The staff are always professional, helpful and caring. Facilities are clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious with lovely views and garden access. Plenty of activities and family members are able to join in.
My mum has been at Bosworth since 2023, all of the staff are helpful and friendly and have helped her settle in well. They've managed her Alzheimer's mood swings, change in medication and 'sundowning' episodes well and always communicate with myself and sister. She's made a group of friends within Bosworth and generally joins in with activities.
Mum has lived at Bosworth Care Home since February 2022 and has now settled well. We were lucky to get her a room with direct views over Weymouth Bay towards Portland and of a good size. The staff and managers are all happy, helpful and caring towards their charges and welcoming to visitors (even my nut case puppy). Activities are on the up with a new coordinator and the meals and cakes look great so Mum has regained some lost weight. All in all, happy that Mum is now safe, no worries and has company.
Our mum has been a resident at Bosworth now for approximately seven years, and long story short, she is very happy there. Back in 2016, our major concern, constantly growing at that time, was that Mum was alone. In Bosworth, Mum has people around her, including both the wonderful Bosworth staff, as well as the other residents whom she regards as her 'friends'. Mum has a lovely room, with marvellous views of nature that she enjoys every day, and also access to a lounge where she regularly joins her friends for conversation, TV, games and/or entertainment. Critically important is that, at the same time, there is 24-hour care and attention provided by the excellent Bosworth staff. One last point is that the manager communicates with us regarding our mum's health and how she is doing, this is very reassuring and greatly appreciated. We are happy that our mum is happy, alert and routinely socially engaged at Bosworth.
Sadly, Mum was only in the home from May to August. The room was lovely and roomy with stunning views across the nature reserve to the sea. The staff were very friendly and took great care with Mum despite her daily mood changes. Management were always at hand to answer any questions and did their best to resolve any issues Mum might have had. There was regular entertainment and activities for the residents which visitors were encouraged to join in with too. They are currently working on finding more activities. It was a short but pleasant and fun stay. Thank you to everyone.
