View Full Details of Broadwindsor HouseBroadwindsor House is a ray of sunshine in the very bleak world of care for the elderly. The manager's enthusiasm and passion for the care provided are abundantly clear. The knowledgeable efficiency with which she organised a comprehensive, detailed care plan for my husband reassured me that he would receive a high quality of care. But what I especially appreciated was her determination to give him the TLC he needed to rehabilitate. Broadwindsor House feels like a home from home. The rooms are clean, light and airy. The residents and staff happy and relaxed and the gardens are beautiful. My husband is responding well to all the TLC and whenever I visit I always receive a friendly welcome, an impromptu update on his condition and an offer of tea and biscuits or even supper. Nothing is too much trouble. The manager is a very special person who cares not only for the physical and emotional needs of her residents, but also their relatives. Thank you for all your kindness and care which is enabling my husband to enjoy life again.
My mother had respite care at Broadwindsor House for 2 weeks in March 2019. She has dementia and I look after her at home full time, she stayed at Broadwindsor to give me a break. The home is well kept, always lovely and clean and smells fresh. With exceptional members of staff and a wonderful manager who is really friendly, caring and genuine. My mother is booked to stay again for three weeks in Oct/Nov. I don't worry about her while she is at Broadwindsor House.
I was very happy with the way that my aunt was cared for during her time at the home and, in particular, the way in which end of life care was undertaken.
The overall impression of Broadwindsor House is that of a lovely country mansion house set in beautiful gardens and could quite easily pass for a country hotel. The meals are all prepared and freshly cooked in the large kitchen and are adapted to suit residents requirements. Snacks, biscuits, fruit etc. Along with tea and coffee both morning and afternoon. Jugs of water/juice readily available to residents in the communal lounge at all times. Bedrooms are prettily furnished and decorated. The love, care and patience shown to all residents is wonderful.
My mother was a resident at Broadwinsor for 18 months although she was suffering from dementia she was treated with respect and kindness. She was kept safe and was always immaculately dressed with her makeup on. Just as she would have been pre-dementia. Shortly before she died she had a stroke and needed full care again. This was done with respect and love from the team at Broadwindsor.
The management and care staff at Broadwindsor House were wonderful when my brother was there, very caring, nothing too much trouble, always very clean and tidy. I had no complaints whatsoever, only praise for everyone who worked there. I am still in contact with them to this day.
My aunt was the user of the service offered at Broadwindsor and my husband and I found all the staff, including the manager and estate manager truly wonderful. It was a delight to see and a comfort to us to know our aunt was being given such excellent care. We will recommend Broadwindsor House. It is a first-class care home. Nothing was too much trouble.
My sister and I put our mother into Broadwindsor House care home on 13th May 2019 after looking at several other care homes. We couldn't believe what a lovely care home it was. Lovely house, beautiful gardens, chickens as well! The staff are all very friendly, helpful and nothing seems too much trouble for them. If anyone is looking for a lovely care home for a loved one, take a look at Broadwindsor House.
My husband has been at Broadwindsor for the last eight years. If it wasn't for the way he is looked after he would not be alive today. All the staff are so friendly and helpful.
My mother has been a resident for nearly five years and she is very happy, she is safe and secure and all the staff do a wonderful job looking after her. The house and gardens are very well maintained.
After looking at several homes for Mum, Broadwindsor was the one we chose. The home is like a family. The staff are very caring and spent time with the resdients, doing activities and chatting to them. We are extremely happy with the care Mum is receiving.
Very caring and efficient, warm, clean, friendly, great place and great staff.
The staff are very caring and friendly. They treat each resident as an individual. The rooms are very homely and residents are able to have their own pictures on the walls, as well as small items of furniture. My relative has settled well as she was no longer able to care for herself at home. I am very pleased with the way she is cared for.
Our mum has been at Broadwindsor House suffering from Dementia for nearly three years. Mum has been extremely well looked after and the staff are excellent and cannot do enough for her and us. We could not ask for anything better for her in all aspects from the care to the beautiful house and grounds.
The management team and staff are always pleasant and extremely attentive to my mum's needs and requirements, she is always happy and always looks well presented when we arrive. I couldn't ask for a better care home for my mum that gives me complete peace of mind.
My Father has been a resident here for the last 2 years. When he first left his home due to needing more care we as his family were extremely concerned he would not settle and want to return. This has never been the case. He himself has praised his excellent care throughout his stay. The management and her team have shown respect, kindness and the highest standard of care that an elderly person could wish for, the gardens are so well attended to, the warm cosy environment, and delicious food. The guests are assisted with their personal hygiene and dressed daily but without any rushing, so an odour associated with some elderly homes does not exist. This is a care home but feels like home. I can only hope that in my senior years Broadwindsor House and their lovely staff are around to look after me.
Thank you all for looking after my mother. Very friendly, clean, considerate, care home, highly recommended. Thank You for your help.
