View Full Details of The Hyde Care HomeMy sister has Alzheimer's and therefore was not very keen to go into residential care. However, the staff have been very thoughtful and helpful in reassuring her. She also had to go to hospital after a fall and fracturing her pelvis but they were keen to have her back and have continued her rehabilitation with a lot of care. I like that there are a number of activities going on and the staff provide stimulation. They also contact me when necessary and respond positively when I request something. It has been enormously helpful that they arranged for my sister to have another hearing test and now has been provided with new NHS hearing aids.
I have a lot of friends who visit me. I enjoy the garden walks, I like the cat, Mo. They will change my room to lower down
Absolutely super.
I find the staff are excellent, always willing to be of assistance, cheerfully.
I really like living at The Hyde Care Home, it's nice and peaceful. We have got chickens and ducks that I look after. The staff are lovely and they look after me well. I like going swimming with staff.
Nothing to complain about. Treating with consideration.
The Hyde is a terrific care with consistently lovely caring and knowledgeable staff. I am delighted that my mother has made her home there. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere friendly and the professionalism of the staff outstanding.
The Hyde is set in a beautiful setting with a warm welcome to a wooden surrounding hallway, the staff are welcoming and friendly they are true Professionals. The Food is lovely with variation in a beautiful dining room. They do many occupational things daily from skittles, basketball, bingo, and making jig saws, to crafting and taking part in all occasions, chair excises, dancing, singing, entertainers, flower arranging, cake, biscuits and sweet making, going out around the grounds daily and feeding the chicken and ducks and gardening with staff escorts going on trips.
My mother is pleased to be living at The Hyde and appreciates the care she is given and the beautiful house and gardens. We have found all the staff to be friendly, helpful and supportive and also quick to respond to questions and emails.
My husband has Parkinson’s Disease and attends daycare regularly at The Hyde and sometimes respite care when I need a break. He enjoys the beautiful gardens in good weather and the peace and quiet of the library at other times. He likes the interaction with residents at meal times and sometimes joins in the activities. The management and staff are kind and considerate and allow him to make his own decisions but keep an eye on him in case of falls etc. They help him to be independent but remind him to take his frequent medication doses. He enjoys being at The Hyde, in its happy atmosphere and all the other residents appear to thrive in the next best to family care.
My mum has been cared for sensitively and with love and understanding. This loving environment of love and care from staff members has enabled Mum to feel secure and be involved with social activities as she wishes. Therefore, through the love and care Mum has received, this has definitely benefited her well-being and given her a good quality of life in her later years. Thank you to all staff members who have contributed to the care of my mum.
Always made welcome. Residents seem to like the visit from Darcey (dog).
I am very pleased with the care my mother receives. The staff are caring, respectful, efficient and knowledgeable and fully understand the needs of my mother. The dedicated care has ensured that during her stay her health has been maintained, despite her severe dementia, lack of mobility and poor swallow reflect. It is reassuring to know she is so well provided for.
Staff are very caring and friendly to patients and entertain to keep up a friendly atmosphere.
The Hyde Care Home is an excellent, well-managed residential home. The staff are always kind and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble. Numerous activities keep the residents amused or entertained, happy and healthy as far as is possible given their advanced age. There can be no cause for concern on any aspect of the way in which the home is run by management.
My wife uses The Hyde Care Home for day care. The staff are great and treat her with respect and dignity, even though she cannot converse or comprehend a lot of the time. She enjoys the meals and loves the big, white cat. Thank you all for the care you offer.
Lots of Christmas activities for the residents to help keep them stimulated.
A great happy, friendly and family-orientated place. It's the team there that really makes it. They take great care of everyone and treat everybody as an individual. My aunt has made great friends with many of the team there and that helps make it into a real home.
My mother has been a Resident at The Hyde for three and a half years and has been cared for very kindly and efficiently. All her medical needs are met, and communications with the home are informative and helpful. It is a pleasure to visit, the staff are cheerful and pleasant and the atmosphere is homely and contented. Like so many care homes, The Hyde has had its ups and downs as staffing levels fluctuate due to the pandemic and subsequent difficulties in recruitment, but under its new management, this appears to be smoothing out. The senior management team have worked very hard to keep standards of care high. I can recommend The Hyde to anyone seeking a placement for an elderly relative - a happy home in beautiful surroundings.
Just been to see my sister, so happy. We were given coffee and made so welcome. The staff give her lots of support as she's terrible with her legs and she is not so mobile now after breaking her hip. The activities they have are wonderful; just lately, they even wrapped in blankets stargazing and looking at the snow moon. My sister really enjoyed that. So overall, The Hyde, we give 100% and thank you.
