View Full Details of Nazareth LodgeOur mum has settled in well over the last four months after not being very keen to leave her own home. The staff are very kind and have lots of time for her. They always seem cheerful and interact well. There are so many activities and trips for Mum to join in with which is great. She is making friends with the other residents and enjoys the garden and conservatory because she likes to sit in the sun. I feel happy that Mum is in a comfortable home and being taken care of well.
Mum has been a resident at the Nazareth family for two and a half years and our true appreciation for the love and the care for her is un-measurable. Without the dedication of every member of the caring Nazareth staff, dear Mum would not be enjoying her life to the full as she is today. She is respected, involved in daily activities, medicated, fed the most gorgeous food, kept warm and snug, and we are truly blessed and for what you all do at Nazareth, thank you all!
My 94-year-old mother has been a resident for 3 months. Has been a difficult time for her moving from her home of 45 years, where she was still relatively independent, into care where she has given up a great deal of her independence; but the staff in Nazareth have been very kind to her and made her feel welcome from the first day. Nothing is too much trouble. She has some issues with her memory and can be confused and difficult, but the staff have coped incredibly well and made her feel respected and listened to. The range of activities is excellent. This last couple of weeks, they have arranged trips to Longleat, Weymouth and other locations, a visit by a Birds-of Prey handler, flower arranging and other activities and quizzes. There is something for everyone. The home is small, homely, clean and well-maintained. It has a lovely, well-maintained garden and a conservatory where my mother spends a lot of her time. I would strongly recommend Nazareth. It's an exemplar of how a care home should be.
First impression - clean, fresh, not stale smells which often greet you in care homes. Staff very welcoming and homely. Privacy given for relatives visiting if necessary. Noticed gardens and activities available for those that are able, facilities also available for those who are less able. Tea and biscuits offered to us (visitors). Only negative, lift needs sorting for wheelchair users, not enough space. I didn't use lift anyway.
My wife came for day care every weekend over the last 6 months. She was always treated with great dignity, kindness and compassion. She always came away bright and cheerful. The staff at Nazareth Lodge have been absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend the care that they gave for my wife as a day care patient.
Nazareth Lodge - the place is so homely and very up-to-speed with regard to decor and furnishings without that horrid residential home feel. The biggest plus is the staff who are incredibly helpful and friendly but at the same time are professional. My Mum has been a resident for 18 months and a daycare visitor for 3 years and has always been so happy there. My Dad spent a short time there and their care for him in his last days was exceptional he was very happy to be there and so well looked after. I would thoroughly recommend Nazareth Lodge for your loved ones.
My mother has been a resident at Nazareth lodge for several years. Whenever I visit my mother always looks comfortable and loved. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There is always a happy atmosphere staff getting on well together, lots of chat with the residents and fun imaginative entertainment. Nazareth lodge is an exceptional place.
My mother has been at Nazareth Lodge for over a year now and has been loved and pampered by all. She is very happy and content. There is an amazing number of activities going on every day with many trips out in the minibus when the weather allows. Thank you to one and all.
Mum moved into Nazareth Lodge on 1st March 2022. Both she and I were so relieved to find such wonderfully caring staff there. In fact, we have been exceedingly impressed by the friendly, caring and professional attitude, which extends throughout the whole team of personnel working there, towards the residents and their relatives as well as amongst each other. Mum is now 102 years old and needs a high level of care, and she has been consistently afforded respect and kindness along with an understanding of increasing the care as her condition progresses, physically and mentally. She very quickly “adopted “ the staff as her own family, and I am so grateful to them all for the unconditional love and care they have shown my mother and also to me.
My dad came into the home due to his short term memory problems. Obviously, this was a huge decision for him and I to make. The staff have supported us with this transition wonderfully. It has been really hard for me but him too and I thank the staff for their support of us as we work our way through this difficult transition. My dad is always confident to tell me that the staff are lovely, accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. All the way to rushing out at dinner time to get him some pickled onions to have with his meal.
My mother has been in Nazareth Lodge for almost four years and in that time we've had nothing but praise for the home. It really is a home and a very happy one, very well managed with friendly respectful staff for whom nothing is too much. Requests, comments, issues if any arise are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. My mother is well looked after in every respect and I look forward to seeing the staff when I visit. I left a review here three years ago and since then they have had to cope with all the complexities Covid threw at them. They handled everything so well, keeping us fully informed of all developments and managing to keep Covid out for a very long time. Nazareth Lodge really is an exceptional home. My mother could not be in a better place.
My mother is in her nineties and has spent more than four years at Nazareth Lodge, but being completely bedbound is sadly unable to take part in any of the activities and outings enjoyed by the more mobile residents. As she is confined to her room, her family naturally has concerns about her morale; but we are very reassured by the unfailing kindness shown to her by every one of the staff: not just the carers, but the administrator, the cook - and even the cleaners and the maintenance man are always cheerful and chatty. Nazareth Lodge is a happy place: there is a lot of laughter here.
Nazareth Lodge has been friendly, helpful, efficient and well-organised since Mum moved in last October. The early teething troubles with hearing aids and medication were soon sorted out and there haven’t been any issues since. The atmosphere is one of genuine concern and caring for all the residents; I couldn’t wish for a better place for Mum to spend her last years.
Nazareth Lodge offers a home-from-home family atmosphere with the greatest of care and consideration to its residents. The home is always welcoming and warm, with a dedicated team who treats everyone as their dearest relative.
Choosing a caring environment for Mum was made incredibly easy after we sat and met with the manager and staff at Nazareth Lodge. The contrasting difference between all the other care homes we had visited and Nazareth Lodge couldn't be greater. Not only is the home spotless and devoid of any typical odours one may associate with a care home, but somehow Nazareth Lodge has created a warm, loving and welcoming safe haven for its residents and our Mum. Mum was incredibly nervous about the move, but 2 weeks on and our Mum has transformed into a younger version of herself, living in the here and now and thinking about the future with much enjoyment to anticipate. This is down to the fun and regular activities they provide including days out site seeing, lunches and other treats. The staff treat Mum with respect and genuine care and above all engage with her at every opportunity to make her feel at home amongst friends. Wish we had done this long before! Thanks a million.
Sadly my brother, sister and I reached the time in our lives that most of us dread; finding "Nirvana" for our dear mother having just lost her husband - is not possible. Then we found Nazareth Lodge. This place is as rare as hen's teeth - a wonderful home, better than outstanding and beyond comparison. The care, attention and genuine love from everyone at Nazareth Lodge is in complete abundance; from the most amazing team of selfless, generous and thoughtful staff - dedicated to the well-being of all the residents. Mental stimulation through fun activities four times a day has brought mum back to life; she's not been that happy for years. Home-cooked fantastic food, freshly prepared each day, feeds the happiness in everyone as does the gentle, respectful and polite communication. An exceptional home with exceptional people that deliver an exceptional residential experience - every minute of every day.
Mum spent 2.5 years at Nazareth Lodge. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Mum had vascular dementia but was still able to have a laugh and joke with her carers. When I visited, I could see that the relationship mum had with the staff was very positive. It is very homely and there is a lovely, family atmosphere. The food is good and mum was very well cared for. In her final few weeks, the love and compassion shown to mum was exceptional and was extended to me when I sat with her. I have no regrets about our choice of Nazareth Lodge.
Dad is a dementia resident and is often in bed when I visit. He is looked after well and treated with respect. Although dad doesn't know me anymore, I am happy that he is comfortable, clean and encouraged to eat and drink. His room is always warm, clean and tidy. The management team should be awarded several medals in their response to the Covid situation. They managed to keep it out of the care home from the beginning until after the vaccinations had taken place, and then only one or two residents had mild symptoms. The weekly newsletter is lovely to read and I forward it on to his grandchildren.
I can totally relax knowing that my mother is in safe caring hands in Nazareth Lodge. The standard of care, in my opinion, is excellent. Many of the staff have a great sense of humour, which my mum, despite her Alzheimer's, appreciates greatly! Despite Covid, there have been no cases amongst residents or staff to date and that is only due to how the home is managed. We are kept up to date with events via a weekly newsletter, including what the residents have achieved, experienced and participated in during the previous week. I have no hesitation in recommending Nazareth Lodge to others.
Fantastic dedicated staff - this year has been extremely difficult for families especially as I live in Australia and had to cancel planned visits due to travel restrictions. The staff and management have kept us informed, helped mum with Zoom meetings and answered all our concerns - they have cared for and engaged mum as one of their family and it is great to feel she is being loved and cared for.
