I was recommended this care home as an emergency option at Stour Road for my mum, whose dementia declined rapidly. From the first contact with their management team, I was immediately put at ease that they were able to meet her needs and keep her safe. As soon as we arrived, I could see straight away the caring nature of the staff with the other residents, and my mum relaxed immediately. I can honestly say I have been so impressed from the start with the way this home is run; I am constantly kept in the loop with lots of phone calls and updates on how my mum has settled, any doctors that have visited or assessments done I am always kept in the loop. I often phone to speak to my mum, and I am always greeted with such upbeat and caring staff. When visiting, the staff are always in such good spirits; they seem to have such lovely relationships with the residents and treat them as if they are family. Very lucky to have my mum in such a well-run care home.

My uncle required palliative and one to one care following an extreme deterioration in his health. Due to Covid restrictions, I was unable to visit to see if this would be suitable for him. However, this choice for him proved to be amazing. Very dedicated staff who nursed him with compassion, love and dignity. Always keeping me informed of his health. It was the best place that he could live out his life. Well done, and thanks to all concerned.

My mum became a resident of Stour Road Care Home from May 2018, and from the first day, we went to look round; we were made very welcome. The care she received from the whole team was fantastic, and especially from the manager, who went out of her way constantly to help and support Mum and myself. The food is fantastic and the afternoon cakes are always a treat. We were always greeted with a smile, and it was a pleasure to get to know all of the very hardworking staff. Thanks for caring so well for Mum in her final days.

Caring staff who interact on a regular basis with my father. Personal circumstances taken into consideration. Meals excellent and nutritionally balanced, good atmosphere with residents getting on well together and being caring of each other. Room kept clean and tidy and my father given his own comfortable space when needed very welcome of myself at any time to visit.
