View Full Details of Wolfeton ManorMy dad has been a resident at Wolfeton for six months now and we are all really delighted by how well he is looked after. He has a lovely room, with easy access to the beautiful gardens so he can go out for a walk whenever he likes. He has his own furniture around him, so we've been able to make it beautifully homely for him. The staff are capable, caring, friendly and reliable, and always make time for him and for us. I am so pleased we found it - I really don't think there is anywhere else within reach with such a wonderful combination of great facilities, super staff and such a homely feel. Thank you, everyone, for looking after Dad so well.
At all times the staff continue to provide an excellent caring service. As visitors we are welcomed with open arms and kept informed of my sister's health and wellbeing.
I have recently visited Wolfeton Manor on several occasions and the level of support the residents receive is outstanding. The staff are incredibly friendly and the wellbeing of the residents is at the heart of what they do. They provide a range of activities for the residents to take part in and also encourage them to do so. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a care home.
My wife has been resident at Wolfeton Manor since last Christmas, and well cared for by a kind, caring, considerate and very professional staff. The Manor is in a very quiet location, with a lovely large garden for the residents to enjoy. The Manor does not feel at all institutionalised, but has a cosy, warm welcoming ambience. My wife has a very nice room, from where she enjoys watching the birds feeding. She is often joined in her room by Poppy, the house cat! The activities organised regularly are excellent; some for the residents to watch and listen to, and others to participate in. I visit my wife regularly, and I often join her for a very tasty Sunday roast. I can strongly recommend the Manor, and know that we could not have chosen a better care home.
My mother has been at Wolfeton now for three and a half years. The care she has received in that time, I think, is second to none. The reason we chose Wolfeton was the village location, the people we met there, and the comments from local carers and the doctor. They could not ethically recommend Wolfeton, but when we named our choice they were unanimous in their praise. The staff at Wolfeton are lovely; from the ancillary staff to the kitchen help to the activities coordinator to the admin staff. My mother has been in excellent hands throughout her stay. The carers care, the Team Leaders lead, and the whole staff work together to ensure the happiness and wellbeing of the residents - my mother. I recommend Wolfeton to you, as a safe, caring, family environment.
What isn't there to love about this wonderful home! The location is beautiful, with its stunning gardens and set in a gorgeous Manor House, coupled with an incredible team of staff, in my experience of spending time with them and visiting here, they have become like an extended family both to myself and residents. The attention to detail on making sure it really is a Home from Home, which is what you look for when placing a very loved and special family member. I'd have no hesitation in giving this home 5 stars. Kindest regards.
Our very good neighbour and friend came into Wolfeton after a stay in hospital. My husband and l visited on many occasions and always made to feel very welcome from staff. It was always such a relaxed homely atmosphere. The home is set in the middle of a beautiful garden, well kept. The food was always talked about being wonderful. They always seem to be very involved in varied activities. He was very happy here and called it his home.
My godmother has now been a resident of Wolfeton Manor Care Home for two years. In that time the staff have shown nothing but kindness and consideration for her needs. They have adapted the standard menu to meet her own tastes and do everything possible to meet her preference for solitude whilst at the same time gently encouraging her to be as active as she can be and integrated into the community. I cannot praise the home highly enough.
Wolfeton is the most amazing community. Everyone genuinely cares. We pop to visit Mum daily at different times. Every time we are met with a smile. Mum is always happy and comfortable. We're kept informed of any slight changes and have total trust. Wolfeton staff are angels in disguise!
It's a home with lots of atmosphere. Originally built as a country house for a local family in the late 1890's there is a lot of history here. The house itself is roomy with plenty of space for residents to relax in. The sun lounge is bright and airy with a TV lounge in the next room. There are tables and chairs in the grounds for residents to meet family outside if they wish to do so. There is a monthly magazine with a list of daily activities which is most informative. The friendly staff are very approachable and are committed to giving the residents the best care. The organised days out are excellent with varied themes. Meals are nutritious with a glass of wine if desired. I would thoroughly recommend Wolfeton Manor for care and compassion. My Mother has thrived in Wolfeton Manor and two and half years after becoming a resident is so very happy, as we are as a family.
We 'found' Wolfeton for end-of-life care for Mum, and Dad is now a regular respite visitor because of the wonderful care that they gave Mum in her last days and regularly give to him now. He genuinely looks forward to his visits, and cannot praise the care and attention that he receives from all staff. He has now come to think of it as a home from home and he always insists on sending a thank you card, which I think speaks volumes.
I have now had 4 relatives use Wolfeton Manor Care Home and currently my father is a resident there. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the care that they give. They are always so thoughtful and keep you up to date of any changes in my relative's health. On visiting they always say hello and offer a tea or coffee and if you time it right a piece of cake! I have been able to compare it with another care home and there is no comparison, this is by far the best, it's not too big and because of that you get to know the other residents and staff by name. I highly recommend if in the future you need care for family and friends.
Whenever I visit staff are so welcoming. Grounds are beautiful. Activities are so fun and varied and absolutely adored by residents! My friend always looks forward to seeing the musical entertainment and the animals!
I'm always welcomed with a cuppa and all residents appear happy. Staff are always jolly and interacting with residents in fun activities. The gardens are beautiful. The food is appetising and bedrooms are furnished to personal taste.
Whilst my uncle has been at Wolfeton, the staff have been very kind, caring and patient with him. Towards the last few weeks of his life, they were extremly understanding. They were as good as a nursing home. The staff are mostly local to the area, I believe this has kept the home covid free. The staff do the home credit to the management. On the whole, I would say it was well organised. I would definetely recommend to others. It is set in the most lovely of situations, and even though my uncle could not enjoy the garden, even though I saw many who did, he had a lovely room looking into the garden. I feel he was happy there.
My mother came to Wolfeton Manor after suffering a fall and ending up in hospital. At 98, she knew that it was a high probability that she would need to be in a care home eventually. Previous to her fall, she had been living alone in her flat with minimal weekly care. I was able to visit Mum and have lunch with her and she said "If I had to end up in a care home, I couldn't be in a better place." I think that says it all!
We have had the very best and friendly service from all the staff. All the meals have been well prepared and served with a smile and friendly word. The building and gardens are maintained to a high standard.
My mum has called Wolfeton Manor 'home’ for almost four years, firstly on respite care and then as a full-time resident. The staff are all professional and caring individuals who certainly contribute to the homely and caring atmosphere encountered on all my visits. The grounds are extensive and allow for time outside to observe the changing seasons and wildlife as well as events in the summer. The food is good, so I have not had any concerns over nutrition. It has been hard not to be able to visit in person during this Coronavirus lockdown period. Residents may be missing their regular activities, visitors and trips locally, but the staff have continued with even more in house events to keep all active and stimulated if they want to join in. An initiative which has also helped hugely at this time is regular video call availability. I certainly appreciate it. Some staff have left their own families and moved into the home full-time to ensure resident's continued protection. Thank you.
I cannot praise the staff and management enough for the way my parents have been looked after since being residents at Wolfeton Manor. Sadly my Father passed away recently and the whole episode was handled with care and compassion. My Mother continues to be looked after and is full of praise and appreciation for the love and care that she receives. I cannot fault the way that the management have proceeded in the face of the Corona Virus Pandemic. They were on the ball from the word go! I have no hesitation in recommending Wolfeton Manor.
At present due to Covid-19, I am unable to visit my mother, having been able to do so previously very regularly. It is difficult to leave a frail loved one but I have absolutely no concerns about her. This is completely due to the level of care and love that she receives at Wolfeton. The staff are always attentive, professional and involved. Most importantly though they are extremely natural, not patronising at all, this brings out the happy nature of my mother and I can see how much she loves them and also how much they love her. This is priceless. Especially in such difficult times, the crew keep her positive, happy and safe. 2 years ago my mother was depressed and talked of wanting to die. Then she moved to Wolfeton Manor and we have never looked back. I can't fault them and I recommend them to everybody.
My dad has been a resident at Wolfeton for six months now and we are all really delighted by how well he is looked after.
