View Full Details of Branksome HeightsPrior to my relative becoming a resident of Branksome Heights, he would take respite breaks there. He was always very complimentary about the care he received. He is now a permanent resident and on the occasions I have visited I have always been made to feel welcome by any staff member whom I happen to come across. My relative is always taking part in activities - as seen in photographs on social media - and I think that is brilliant and more to the point he is well cared for. The food is exceptional for a care home. I really do think it's a lovely care home.
Mum moved into Branksome Heights nine months ago, having decided she wanted more social contact and less responsibility. After visiting several local homes, she could not have made a better choice. From the moment Mum moved in, she has been made to feel very welcome, is looked after, treated with dignity and feels very at home. The home is light and airy, always clean, and has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The whole team is very friendly, helpful, caring and go over and above what we expected. Everyone takes the time to welcome and engage with you. Mum enjoys taking part in the daily activities, which are inventive and fun. The food is great and I enjoy joining her for the occasional meal. My sister and I feel very content knowing Mum is in a safe and secure home where she still has the level of independence she wants but with the care and support of the team around her. Well done Branksome Heights!
Dad came to stay here for a couple of weeks and ended up extending his stay for a few more weeks. From the minute he arrived until he left, the care and attention he received was wonderful. Everyone who works here gives 100% to the residents, nothing is too much and everybody is always smiling and happy. Any request I had for Dad was always given the utmost attention and followed through. As a visitor, I received more than I would have expected and treated with kindness and it was a pleasure to visit my father every day. I have nothing but praise for the staff and would highly recommend this care home.
My mother has been a resident for over two and a half years and I've been very happy with her care over that time. We have good communication between the home and me. I like the fact that they retain staff and my mum has familiar faces around her and her care is personalised to her individual needs. The facilities and activities provided are good and although Mum doesn't always join in, they appear to be wide-ranging to appeal to all of the residents.
The home is very much a home from home. Everyone is welcomed with open arms and the staff are very friendly and help out with anything we ask. You can see and speak to the manager if she's in or if not, there's always someone to talk to. It's always kept very clean and the residents are kept entertained and busy every day, the food is lovely and if you go out and come in late, they will always have something for you.
There is a very welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk into the reception area. I have visited my friend (a resident) more than once and each time, the staff greet you with a smile. My friend needs a lot of support and it was very clear to me just how much care and gentle attention he is given. Staff seem to know his needs and preferences so well. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The premises are kept beautifully and the variety of thoughtful and engaging activities is wonderful. I can see a real improvement in the physical and emotional health of my lovely friend since he moved there. Another fabulous thing is how my friend's wife, one of my closest friends, is so relieved that her husband is so well cared for. It's such a blessing for her to know that her beloved husband is happy. Should I ever need that level of nursing and care, I would count myself very lucky to stay at Branksome Heights Care Home.
I cannot praise this care home highly enough. My father stayed for a few weeks in November and December and everyone made him feel welcome and cared for during his entire stay. All of the staff are amazing, kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Being a fussy and plain eater, anything my dad asked to be cooked was catered for whenever requested. The cleanliness of the place was second to none and plenty of staff on hand to assist, day or night. I cannot thank them all enough for caring for my dad and would recommend this care home to anyone looking for a care home for their elderly loved ones or just for respite care.
Branksome Heights is like a luxury hotel. You are always welcomed in a warm, friendly manner by all of the staff. The lounges, restaurants and other rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. There is a wonderful feeling of serenity and all the residents look so relaxed and happy. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented. My father's health has significantly improved since being a resident at Branksome Heights due to their high level of nursing care and kindness. I have total peace of mind that my father is being looked after in the best possible way. A big thank you to everyone at Branksome Heights.
My father has been a resident at Branksome Heights since March last year and I have been consistently impressed and reassured by the high standards this lovely care home provides. The home feels more like a hotel with personal and extra special touches (like daily cakes in reception and beautiful, seasonal floral displays and decorations) and is absolutely spotless everywhere. The rooms are of a high standard and the communal areas, such as lounges, dining rooms, quiet areas and the garden and extensive terraces, are all superb. But above all, the staff are wonderful; whether it's the care team, reception team, housekeeping, maintenance team or management team, everyone has time to talk and always gives a warm welcome. I get great communication on my father's health and residents are encouraged to be engaged in activities and entertainment. It really has the personal touch. And to now have a dedicated specialist dementia nurse available, plus a nursing team is such a luxury.
Once again, the staff at the home have pulled off an amazing social occasion, this time was a fab quiz night. The staff all feel like our extended family, always make us welcome and nothing is too much trouble. This home is truly number one in my book. Can't praise them all enough. Thank you everyone.
Having spent a huge amount (daily)of time at Branksome Heights visiting, all I can say is fantastic. Apart from the daily activities, entertainment, food and parties, the care is second to none. My friend calls it the 'best hotel' in Bournemouth. I have visited at all times of the day and evening and it's always the same. I speak regularly to the staff and management, and can say every single one are fabulous. My friend went for 2 weeks respite, she loved it so much she decided to make it her permanent home, the best decision she has ever made. 4 months in, she is loving every moment being there.
It was time for Mum to have some extra support and we chose Branksome Heights after viewing several homes locally. We really like the atmosphere - more like a small hotel than a care home and the thought that has been put into both individual rooms as well as shared areas. We have been able to help Mum customise her room with pictures and some furniture to make it feel as much like her own home as possible. She is well looked after and loves the staff and the food in particular. I love the respect that the team show Mum, allowing her to retain as much of her independence as possible. Everyone - the reception team, the carers and the leadership team - have made us all feel very welcome. We're all happy that we chose here for Mum's next chapter.
I was really sad that my husband had to go into residential care at a comparatively early age. However, I couldn’t have found anywhere better for him if I tried! My long list of concerns and queries have been met and my expectations have been exceeded. The home is clean, bright and spacious and has a warm, inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. The staff are wonderful and the food is very good which is a big plus for my husband. For the first time in almost a year, I can start to relax knowing that my husband is in a lovely place surrounded by kind and caring staff and is being really well cared for. A huge thank you from me to the Branksome Heights team!
From my first visit, I knew that Dad would be happy here and this was the home for him. All my questions and worries were answered (and I had lots!). The staff and management are caring and friendly. The home is always clean. As visitors we are always made to feel welcome and no matter how busy the staff are they will find time to chat with me about Dad’s day.
My mother was in Branksome Heights for 7 months when she died, my whole experience of this home was one of professionalism, care, compassion and dignity. I would thoroughly recommend this home, and I am indebted to the staff there for their care of both my mother and us as a grieving family.
Mum was very independent before she went to Branksome Heights. After a health scare, it was decided she needed more care. She soon adapted to the change and now realises it was the best decision for her. The staff are very friendly and helpful and very approachable. Although she doesn't interact much, she is very happy and I know she is very well looked after.
My mother has been in Branksome Heights since August 2021. It is, by far, the best care home in the area, chosen by my brother and we couldn’t be happier with the care and attention she has been given. Her room is beautiful and always clean and tidy. She is cared for by the staff with the utmost respect and dignity and is always dressed well despite her condition. The reception staff always have a smile and greet you very nicely and you are introduced to everyone. There are always tea and cakes available if you are visiting. The menu is varied and of excellent quality, well done to the chefs. The daily activities are well-organised and varied. The manager is excellent in responding quickly to any questions and has arranged video calls for me to stay in contact with my mum as I’m overseas. Couldn’t wish for better care.
I have been in my home now for nearly two years and I cannot praise it enough. I am very happy here, they have taken care of me through operations etc. I recommend this home to all my friends who may come here one day.
My mother has been in Branksome Heights now for more than two years and couldn't be happier. The staff are friendly and clearly interact in a positive way with the residents, almost becoming friends. They are also extremely welcoming to visitors and nothing is too much trouble. Mum's needs are well catered for and we have every confidence in the way she is looked after.
Mum has been at Branksome Heights for a number of years with Alzheimer’s. She is very well looked after by a professional, kind, helpful team. Mum receives all the care she needs and is encouraged to join in with the many and varied activities put on by the co-ordinating staff. The food is good and plentiful. On my visits, I am always welcomed and given a detailed report of Mum. I would highly recommend Branksome Heights to you.
