A good home although larger than expected. Clean. Attentive staff.
A warm welcome and smile greet you as you enter Adamscourt, chosen because of its small size and homely feel. My Dad has been a resident for over two years and has been well looked after. The staff treat residents in a caring, professional, friendly manner, showing respect and maintaining dignity for each resident. Dad is clean, and comfortable and enjoys the home-cooked cuisine. They encourage him to be as independent as safety allows. He is not able to participate in many activities but does enjoy music and the singers who visit the home. Recently he enjoyed a trip to a garden centre and New Forest in the minibus. Thank you to all staff for taking such good care of my wonderful Dad.
Adamscourt is a warm and welcoming home. Since my Dad has lived there he has had wonderful care and attention. The dedicated staff are very kind, caring, compassionate, friendly and helpful and my father is treated with dignity. He is always well turned out, his room is always clean and his belongings are looked after. The staff are very good at keeping us informed if they have had to seek outside medical help for my Dad at any time and keep us updated. My Dad eats very well and loves his food: they try to accommodate his likes and dislikes with choices at meal times. The home runs fun activities for those that are able to join in and they have trips out in the minibus. Thank you for taking great care of my father. I know he is safe in your hands.
Adamscourt have been amazing with my dad. They really are like a family to him since moving there in February. The staff are kind and really do care about making his time each day a happy one. We are blown away with the activities they put on most days and the trips he has been on this year. With having dementia it’s so important everything they do for him. He’s happy and has made some lovely friends and the staff have become his friends too and ours. I cannot recommend Adamscourt enough. The food is exceptional and there is so much going on every day he’s always excited to tell us all about where he’s been. We always feel Dad is safe and cared for which is so important to us.
Since my wife has been in Adamscourt, she has had wonderful care and attention. The carers are very kind and approachable. The food is fantastic and is cooked fresh on the premises. In the time my wife has been in Adamscourt, they have organised visits with an optician, dentist and podiatrist.
Adamscourt has cared for my aunt, who has dementia, for three years and eight months. I have power of attorney for my aunt and my aunt was originally moved out of hospital into Adamscourt during the first wave of Covid-19. The manager and her staff made this transition seamlessly due to their hard work and application of care despite having to use full PPE and follow government Covid guidelines. My aunt has been extremely happy at Adamscourt and likes the food. Whenever the team at Adamscourt have had to seek medical assistance, they have done this immediately and kept me informed all the way through the process. They understand my aunt's needs due to her dementia and her mobility has been maintained at a level well in excess of what was predicted a few years ago. My aunt loves her room overlooking the lovely garden and all her visitors are welcomed. Adamscourt is making my aunt's final years as comfortable as possible.
Since my mother became a resident at Adamscourt earlier this year, I have been completely pleased and impressed with all aspects of the care provided for her. All the staff are brilliant completely professional, welcoming, extremely caring and happy to help at all times. The levels of communication are faultless as well, the home is always quick to let me know of any incidents that invariably happen. My mother's room is always spotlessly clean and this is reflected throughout the home There are varied activities available on a daily basis which I know my mother enjoys at the time. I could not recommend highly enough Adamscourt to anyone thinking about having a relative as a resident there.
I was given support and assistance from all the staff and management of Adamscourt which enabled me to eventually return home to my family. I cannot thank the staff enough for their commitment to my care.
I chose Adamscourt as it is a small care home with only 22 residents. My mother was a resident for three years and the homely atmosphere suited her. There was a consistency of staff throughout her stay, which was reassuring for her and meant all staff knew her and how to respond to her. The staff were always cheerful and helpful and my mother was always well dressed and presented. Pre-Covid, there were regular minibus outings, which my mother enjoyed. During Covid, they protected residents well and still maintained activities for residents. I cannot fault the care home or staff.
It has been a very difficult year, having to accept Mum is no longer the person she was, unable to look after herself and remember the simplest of instructions. Thanks to the amazing team at Adamscourt Care Home, however, I can rest in the knowledge Mum is being well cared for, well fed (all food seems to be cooked on the premises) and well entertained with constant activities. Whilst Mum and I are no longer able to do the things we used to, we are able to make new memories with the help of the team. For this, I am very grateful - Mum is a very precious lady.
My father has been well cared for and seems contented. The staff are friendly and there is a family atmosphere.
Due to coronavirus, not allowed inside building but I'm sure it's fine! Sorry not able to mark all boxes. All staff and management are not only caring to patients, visitors also. Just like one 'happy family'. Hope I don't but should I need care in the future would be happy to stay at Adamscourt.
I have been very disappointed in this care home. The lack of feedback and communication, on important matters have been vague and unprofessional especially from the manager. Not enough English speaking carers and several care failings and neglect. I have no faith or trust in this care home and if you did use it for your parents, you need to be able to be very physically involved. I am glad that my mother is finally moving out.
Since Grandma arrived at Adamscourt she has settled really well and the care she has received has been fantastic. The staff have been professional, friendly, and helpful, and have made us feel very welcome. They have kept us informed with how Grandma is, which has been very reassuring and much appreciated during the coronavirus times. lovely facilities including a nice garden and seating area. Excellent choice of food and a variety of activities which Grandma enjoys. Highly recommended. Thank you.
I have been very impressed with the care and support my mother has received since she arrived at Adamscourt. Every member of staff we have met has been so kind and welcoming; nothing is too much trouble. Mum is very happy here and receives excellent care; is very complimentary about the food and has a lovely, clean comfortable room. It is hugely reassuring to know she is happy, safe and well looked after, particularly in these difficult times. Thank you.
It was a great pleasure to be cared for nothing was too much trouble. Care 24/7 general help 12/10. Excellent attitude to care and attention and my needs. I was much fitter and happy after my stay with them. The food was wonderful. They dealt with not just a broken body and ankle but the need for 41 tablets a day to stay alive.
Since my father has been looked after at Adamscourt I have felt he seems content and the obvious care given is very noticeable.
My mother has been in Adamscourt for about 2 years and although I live a long distance from her I am very pleased with the care she receives. She seems happy, well presented and the food is excellent. The doctor has been called when necessary and the staff have been very pleasant and helpful. The home is well kept; clean, and no bad smells. I don't believe they could do anymore. As a final note, there is also a list of activities to stimulate during the week, which is very reassuring.
During my wife's final days all my family are appreciative of the care and dignity provided.
