View Full Details of The Laurels & Pine LodgeMum has lived here for 2.5 years. I now feel part of a family. We all laugh together. I have complete trust in their top quality care and love for my mum.
I have generally found the staff and leadership to be helpful and caring towards residents. Also the staff I have met have been helpful. As a family member, it is really important to know that Dad is being well looked after. Thank you for your good work. It would be helpful to find a solution to losing items of laundry - e.g. if you can recommend suitable ways to label.
Always look forward to visiting mum as I care for a brain injured husband so its enlightenment for me. The residents make me laugh with the things they say, they are all so happy without a care in the world. They are all so well looked after and loved by the staff who I find work really hard and put the residents needs first. I couldn't wish mum to be in a better residential home. Thank you all.
A lovely welcoming care home. The staff are friendly yet professional. Lots of activities with photos online. Our relative is very happy here. The chef also makes lovely cakes on their birthdays and the catering is excellent.
Activities are very well organised and advertised on social media. The chef does a wonderful job, and it is lovely to see photos of the celebration birthday cakes.
Whenever I visit, the staff always know where my mother is and what she is doing. I'm very happy with the care and attention she receives. Full marks to the entertainments staff who, in addition to organising events, spend a lot of time just interacting with residents. Management staff are approachable and always prepared to assist with inquiries.
My mother-in-law has been in this rest home for nearly 9 weeks and my husband and I are delighted with the care and attention she is receiving. After the initial 8-week respite period we didn't even bother looking at other homes, why would we? The food is excellent and a really good variety and the level of care is a really high standard. My mother-in-law now always looks clean and tidy. She is warm and safe, thanks to the friendliness and hard work of the carers. The manager is always approachable and accessible.
When visiting my mother, she is always happy and does not stop telling us how lovely her meals are. The care home is clean and tidy, and there are a lot of activities laid on for the residents. The staff are always polite and friendly.
Amazing care home. They take extremely good care of my grandmother. They do regular events and activities, and most of the time, they get all the family involved. My grandmother is extremely happy here, and when we come to visit, we are warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. The food is delicious, and there is always a variety for the residents. Overall experience is 10/10.
Often come around dinner time due to work commitments. The food always looks healthy and appetising. Staff always ask residents what they would like from a great choice. They treat them with respect, however, can be overwhelming with the noise/seating arrangements. I also feel at the end of the day when I visit the smell of urine can be strong, if I have the opportunity to visit early in the day this does not happen.
Lovely homely care home where I feel the carers all know my mum. The food always looks wholesome and plenty of it. The only thing I feel at the moment is that the home is feeling really full and at dinner time there doesn't always seem space for everyone. Overall though I can't commend the home high enough when I know my mum is very happy.
Positives: Nice family-friendly atmosphere and the staff are welcoming and friendly, despite the difficulties of the job. Residents are encouraged to join in with the activities. The food is varied and excellent and all individual tastes are catered for. There is only one negative in that repairs to the room can take a long time. The remote for the TV doesn't work and we haven't had this replaced. Sometimes a lack of staff - but think that's a nationwide problem. But I would recommend this care home to others.
Grandad seems very happy at The Pines, in better-than-anticipated and feeling well at home. It's heartwarming to see the carers getting him involved in activities, even though I know he can be stubborn and still be able to see his lovely smile on social media. I feel he will be happy and settled here until the end of his life.
My mum is very happy here. When I visit she is always pleased to see me. I join in the activities which are always fun. Mum enjoys the singers. I sometimes thing she loves the staff more than me which I am very happy with.
The care of my late aunt has been outstanding since I decided that it was time for her to move here where she would be safe, well cared for and loved. We knew about the care home having visited friends there previously. We were always impressed by the standards and the homely feel that it offered. We enjoyed several hours at events held for relatives and other social activities. Sadly due to personnel circumstances, we have not been able to visit very regularly. The home always kept us updated on my aunt's health. We always knew that she was fine in their care. Thank you to the Team, you all do an amazing job.
Staff are very friendly, I do voluntary work at this wonderful care home, residents make me very happy to work. Very nice gardens, social activities, Christmas winter wonderland. Nice paintwork decoration and the food is delicious. What more could you ask for.
The Laurels & Pine Lodge continues to be a happy home where residents are known by name by the staff who are kind and caring. Any concerns are taken on board and dealt with and communication between staff and relatives is very good. Management has been very supportive when necessary. Activities are plenteous, but there are quiet places to go to if residents and relatives prefer. A good choice of care home.
Really happy with the Laurels and Pines care home, couldn't be more caring and thoughtful, they just can't do enough. The resident always looking settled and cared for. Fabulous activities were put on for the residents and their families. My mum settled in lovely, I was so worried when she had to go into a care home but all my worries have been put to rest. The manager went through everything with us before Mum went in, it was very reassuring.
So happy with the care my friend has been receiving. Always confident that my friend is well cared for and safe. Always contacted if any concerning issues arise promptly. Care is consistent and team genuinely care. Thank you.
Not too large (and impersonal) but big enough to have a community feel to it. All the staff - cleaners, catering, management and carers - know the residents and take time to interact with them. Family members are always made to feel welcome.
