View Full Details of Guild House Residential HomeMy parents first came to Guild House Residential Home for respite, following hospital stays. That had been having home care visits, but we're falling and not managing. The staff at the home made them feel safe and secure. They decided to stay. They particularly enjoy all the activities and outside entertainers that come in. My dad loves the home made food. All the staff treat my parents with dignity and respect. It is a great weight off my mind knowing that they are so well looked after. Thank you.
I could not be happier with the care and attention my beloved wife, who has advanced dementia, receives as a resident at Guild House in Gloucester. All the staff, from the senior management team down to those charged with the most basic tasks, are superbly trained in dealing with those in their care and they do so with dignity and good humour. On my daily visits, I have been most impressed over the past months that the staff always refer to the residents personally by their first names and are prepared to take time to, listen to, respond to and make eye contact with those in their care. My wife seems at home at Guild House now, which is a comfort to me beyond measure. She is being looked after there far better than I could possibly hope to do so by myself at home, and I thoroughly recommend this care home to you.
I was very happy with the care that my mother received during her stay at Guild House. In particular, the last days of her life were dealt with kindness and sympathy and the support we received was exemplary.
My husband was very well looked after by caring and dedicated staff. He spent two weeks on Grace Wing and was very content. The care he received was of a high standard and he responded well to being in a homely environment.
I find this home all that I would wish it to be. The food is excellent and the staff are helpful as one could wish for.
At the end of November 2023, my Father went to live in Guild House, his welcome was warm and friendly and he soon settled into a new routine, particularly enjoying the lovely meals. At the beginning of this year, he became unwell and needed more help, this was provided with care and kindness. his last few weeks were difficult for him and the family as he grew weaker, everything that could be done to make him more comfortable was done, this was a great comfort to the family.
Guild House is a warm and friendly care home. My Brother is very happy there which makes me happy he is being looked after well.
Guild House is an excellent care home. You would be very demanding to find anywhere better. The staff are well trained and caring. No problem is too difficult to resolve, this is a particular requirement when caring for dementia residents.
My mum is a resident and really enjoys all the activities. She is always doing something, from crafts to playing group games. The home is very good at getting everyone in the family involved too; they really include us as a family.
Auntie was so very well looked after, not always the easiest of people to get on with but they always were so gentle and kind. I was so grateful that the dreaded Covid-19 never entered the home, well done to the team at Guild House Residential Home. The activities lady used to give her a hand massage, do her nails and would sit and chat with her if she wasn't up to attending a group. Really they were very attentive and the food was lovely. I recall a couple of events that families were invited to and I was always impressed with the catering. Very nice altogether, a dignified home.
