View Full Details of Redlands AcreMy friends mum came for respite care over Christmas she is there for a few more days. What amazing support the home manager has given to my friend and her mum, it made her feel relaxed and comfortable about the break. Staff are happy friendly, the home looked festive.
Mum is in Redlands on temporary respite care after a fall. I have only good things to say about Redlands. The manager runs the home really well. All of the staff are lovely and seem really happy. They all show the residents kindness and respect and really engage with them. Mum is very happy there and I am secure in the knowledge that she is safe and being well looked after, which gives me peace of mind. We are hoping that Mum can remain at Redlands permanently as that is what she now needs.
I stayed there for one week and was treated with kindness. The house is very spacious and light. The food is very good and varied. The rooms are spacious and airy. The staff are all very friendly and efficient and caring. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you all.
Moving my parents into care was a difficult decision made so much easier by the support and kindness shown by all the staff. Time is spent getting to know the residents and genuine care is provided. Thank you all.
The staff are always very friendly. The house itself is very light and spacious and we are always warmly welcomed when we arrive. My mum has settled in well. I know she is well looked after and has all that she needs. She and the other residents enjoy the afternoons when I take the dog in for lots of cuddles.
Great kindness. Most efficient and helpful staff.
I have not been here very long but I shall be staying for the rest of my life. Thank goodness. I am very happy with the staff and the food and all facilities.
Dad sadly only had five weeks in Redlands, but they were very happy weeks. It felt like a home from home. The staff were kind and caring to both Dad and our family. The food was good, which I think is so important. The support we received in Dad's final days was second to no one.
Really lovely place, Mum is looked after really well. The garden is being changed around and looks very good and is more accessible. The staff are all very good and approachable, and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is kept clean and tidy. Food is also very good, and now have guest Wi-Fi, which is good as can now talk and see Mum over the internet.
Supported a friend to find a respite placement for ten days. He was anxious and didn't know what to expect - but he enjoyed it. The care was excellent, the environment was clean and lovely. My friend didn't require a lot of care but he felt reassured by the staff and the manager was excellent, welcoming and so helpful with discharge planning. Great communication. My friend would go again if he needed respite care again in the future - this is huge so Redlands Acre did a fab job thank you.
My friend has been at the Care Home for almost two years. She went to the Home originally for respite care for two weeks whilst I went on holiday, mainly as I was checking on her regularly and did her shopping etc., she loved every minute of her time at the Redland and was reluctant to leave at the end of the two weeks. I think that she enjoyed being pampered by the staff and enjoyed the company. When the time came for her to be looked after on a permanent basis, I had no hesitation in asking the Care Home if they could accommodate her. She is extremely happy there. The staff are all very friendly and take an interest in the residents and their welfare. From my experience of the Management and staff I would have no hesitation in recommending The Redlands as a caring Home in which to place your loved ones.
The home as treated my father with the upmost respect during his recent illness after returning to the home from hospitalisation. They have made every effort to ensure all my father’s needs have been met.
My mother initially came to the home as respite care following a hospital stay. The staff were very helpful in assisting her to settle and since she was happy in the home, she decided she would prefer to stay there. Over the next few years she received excellent care and we know this not only has prolonged her life physically, but has meant her general well-being was greatly enhanced. Now that she is reaching the end of her life, the care and concern has continued at the same high level and we know that her wishes are respected. As next of kin I am kept fully informed and my questions have been answered carefully and fully. Throughout her time in Redlands my mother has had excellent support from the staff, who are always friendly and welcoming to me when I have visited her. I could not be more grateful that she has been able to spend her last few years here.
My mother has been a resident at Redlands Acre, for more than twelve months, having spent several visits at Redlands for respite care following holiday cover for home care and falls in her home requiring surgery in Hospital. The care given and the friendly nature of the staff formed a very positive experience for my mother and when the time came to consider full-time care; Redlands Acre were an obvious first choice. As my mother's mobility has diminished along with her capacity, the care given has been exemplary in many areas and now, requiring personal care for every function. The management team and staff have increased their care level to an incredibly high standard and consistent level, which my mother, well into her 90s, acknowledges in her limited way and appreciates. A very difficult time for every elderly person I'm sure, but a task performed with great skill and care from the staff on a daily basis.
Our mother has been in Redlands care for over 4 years. It was a difficult decision to move our mother out of her home and into care and a daunting task to select a suitable facility. After inspecting and interviewing a few other places we came across Redlands. It felt right from the beginning and it has proved to be a fantastic choice. Our mother loved the staff and made friends with them quickly. When she eventually passed, 2 weeks after her 100th birthday the staff exuded care and in the last days they could not do enough to make our mother and our family be as comfortable as possible. The staff genuinely grieved my mother's passing alongside us. We found the love, dedication and caring from Redlands amazing. We will be eternally grateful to the fantastic Redlands staff for making our mother’s last years as comfortable as they did. We can not thank Redlands enough for their service.
I stayed at the home for one-week of respite care. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The food was good and enjoyed the homemade cake every day. I was able to use the hairdressing facility twice during my stay and my care suite felt very homely.
The staff are always welcoming and friendly. They have time for the residents to chat and joke. My mother said on Mother's Day 'I love it here, it's my home', which is a great relief to family.
My father has been living at Redlands Acre for just over three years. He feels safe and comfortable and we have peace of mind. He enjoys the friendly, caring staff and it feels like home to him. Sadly, my dad has very little mobility and he is now dependent on the staff but they treat him with dignity and that is very reassuring. I have a happy dad.
The ongoing care given to my aunt continues to be of the highest order, as it has been for the eight previous years. The professional and compassionate care given to my aunt and the contact I have with Redlands is a great comfort to me given that my home is nearly 100 miles away.
From the moment the door to the home gets answered it's always a warm welcome and shortly followed by being offered a tea or coffee! The staff do everything they can to make everyone feel welcome, always lots going on, witnessed "Musical Movement" and it looked great fun, if only I was older I could have felt at home joining in.
