View Full Details of Sydenham HouseMother has lived in Sydenham House for nearly two years and is now well over 100. She would not have reached that age without the excellent care provided. Nothing is too much trouble and the kindness and gentleness provided to a very frail old lady is wonderful. There are often occasions when a doctor or nurse is required and this is always provided and I am notified of any changes required. I feel that mother is ending her days in a contented and dignified way and can highly recommend Sydenham House and all its care.
Mum came to Sydenham House, initially for respite having had falls and the loss of the use of her legs. Sydenham House offers a 'Home from Home' experience with the most friendly and attentive staff you could hope to meet. NOTHING is too much trouble. Owners and staff have so much patience and kindness to offer - visitors can quickly feel part of the 'family'. The communal areas are split between tv lounge area, dining room with individual tables to sit four and large conservatory looking out onto an easily accessible garden. The day mum arrived, a 90th Birthday celebration for the Queen was taking place. Mum has had more company and entertainment in five weeks than she has had in the last five years. People that dread the thought of 'going into a home' shouldn't worry - this place is great. We, the family, now feel happy as does mum, that she is safe and secure. Needless to say, mum asked to stay! Thank you Sydenham House and all the dedicated staff.
