View Full Details of The Rectory Care HomeMy wife has Parkinson's disease and dementia, she has been at The Rectory since last June. It was an extremely difficult time for us both leading up to then. I am totally happy in knowing she is now getting the kind of care that she needs. She had spent time in other care homes for a week's respite care but none of them come anywhere near the way she is cared for at The Rectory. She is safe warm and dressed properly. She is treated with respect, dignity and love. I visit regularly and have found the staff to be welcoming and considerate of both our needs. Nothing is too much trouble and I never feel I am being a nuisance or am getting in the way of the care needs of the other residents. I would thoroughly recommend The Rectory to everyone.
We are very happy with the care received at The Rectory by our old nanny. The staff is patient and friendly, they always seem well-informed on her condition and needs and the atmosphere is welcoming. Whenever we visit she seems calm and comfortable. We are grateful for the quality of care provided to her.
I rarely write reviews but I had to for the lovely staff at The Rectory. My mum moved in last year and I immediately felt the genuine care that all the staff have for the residence. Mum passed away on Saturday and I was blown away by the love all the staff showed her in her final days, someone was by her bed, day and night for 6 days, and I cannot thank them enough.
Such a happy, cosy atmosphere in the home. Staff always so welcoming, accommodating and approachable. My mum skips in and just loves all her friends there. Thank you to The Rectory for leading the way in showing how to give dignity, respect and love to all the people they care for. Whether it be residential or day care you do a fantastic job. Well done to the manager and the team you are real stars!
Mum has been at the Rectory for a year now, she's settled in quite well. I'm extremely grateful to all the staff, and the manager who is always 100 per cent supportive of Mum and to me. They have given me so much support, and are always there when I have a problem, every single member of the care home team is lovely, genuinely caring and friendly. The home is always clean and tidy. The food always looks and smells great, and they are always offering cups of tea or cold drinks to the residents. My only complaint is the lack of activities, it would be good to have more social media posts, so we can see what's happening. Or maybe if there was an app we could log onto, and see what's been happening in mums day to day life, although I go 3 times a week, Mum doesn't have much conversation, so if I knew what was going on, I would be able to chat to mum about it or show her the posts to jog her memory.
My mum has been at The Rectory for 8 months now and has settled well. She seems to be happy and the staff are lovely. The home itself is very clean, warm and relaxing and I am informed of everything relating to Mum's care.
Mum has now been resident in The Rectory for just over 3 months. After settling in she now seems happy in her surroundings. All the staff we have met when visiting seem very caring towards the residents, in what must be a very challenging role at times. The Manager and Deputy Manager have been very quick to respond to any emails which have been sent.
Lovely friendly staff who are always welcoming. Clean and tidy surroundings. Home-cooked food which looks and smells good. Always kept up to date about what is happening with own relative. Staff are attentive to residents.
Thank you for looking after my mum which in my heart I wish I could do but she seems happy and settled into The Rectory so I cannot thank the staff enough. Everyone is really caring and they do not mind me ringing to ask them questions or speak to mum, like the updates via their social media as I can see what she has been doing and love the birthday celebrations and cakes, must be a lovely treat for the residents as I hope that they do remember their birthdays and just to let you know Mum's is coming up in July and she loves fresh cream and fruit especially strawberries. Thanks again.
My mother has settled into The Rectory Care Home having been admitted at the beginning of March. She settled very quickly and became attached to the staff and residents within a few weeks. She said everyone was 'very good' and I can tell by the way she smiles at the staff that she really does mean that. Her room is always really clean and nothing has been too much trouble, from hanging family photos to making it very homely. My sister and I have always been made to feel welcome when visiting. I am never worried about leaving her as I know she's happy.
Mum seems to have settled in and all the staff met have been very friendly and helpful. Mum seems well cared for at The Rectory. Parking could be easier but I would suspect not possible with the space available.
The Rectory has a home-from-home feel. The staff are just amazing and have been incredible with my aunt. Every time we visit, we are made to feel welcome. The residents are well cared for and the home has a lovely atmosphere.
Only concern is that the outbreak of Norovirus was not reported as per the The UK Health Security Agency reporting process. Also, families were not kept up to date. Phone issues added to the lack of communication, but alternative means should have been utilized more.
Caring and calm atmosphere whenever we visit. Care home clean and warm. Staff are keeping us informed of any falls or illnesses. Good to see more activity taking place again. Would like to see a little more on social media of the residents for relatives who live away.
My father has been living at The Rectory for coming up to a year. He is happy and settled. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly and are wonderful with the residents. Dad has a good relationship with every staff member I have witnessed.
