She enjoys the huge range of daily activities on offer, the food always looks lovely and full of variety and always homemade. Mum enjoys her cake and coffee in the afternoons a real treat. The home is impeccably clean, the staff are always friendly and nothing is ever too much for them, even at busy times. The social media updates are an excellent way of keeping not only myself updated but the whole family, seeing varies photographs of what mum has been up too. Always kept informed of any issues if any including medical. All round excellent service.

This is how a care home should be.
The Elms is a beautifully run residential care home that looked after my dear mum in the closing years of what was a very busy and active life. The staff are delightful courteous and helpful and go the extra mile to assist. It's a beautiful setting affording far-reaching country views from many of the rooms, a big sun terrace, and masses of recreational space for the residents to mingle. The ambience is good and the place is always spotless and a home from home for all its residents. I never worry about Mum being there because I know she is well cared for and happy. The staff are a great crowd who work well together and I never feel anyone is unapproachable. There is a lovely garden for everyone to enjoy in the better weather filled with a variety of shrubs, and bedding plants, tables and chairs are provided so in the better weather everyone who is able can fully enjoy the facilities.
My mum moved into The Elms at a very emotional time for our family. All the staff have just been the best support for mum and their care and love for mum cannot be faulted. My mother moved to The Elms following a stroke and a diagnosis of dementia just before Christmas 2023 and they couldn't have been more welcoming. All the staff have made a real fuss of Mum and involved her in the group activities so she settled in really quickly. I know she is really happy at The Elms because she suggests friends and other members of the family should move in.
My mother has been a resident at The Elms since Christmas 2023. It is a delightful place being all on one floor surrounded by beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The laminate floors throughout and slopes instead of steps mean my mother can use her walking aid. She has a very pleasant light room with an ensuite. The food is very nice. My mum moved into The Elms, initially for a month of respite due to illness and once recovered she decided that she liked it so much that she decided to stay. She is still living there 9 months on and is happy, content and very well looked after. The staff are thoughtful and caring and really go the extra mile to support both the residents and their families. All of our family have been made to feel welcome whenever we visit. We are kept informed of things affecting Mum, and we feel additionally reassured seeing her, at nearly 94, doing so well. She says that she is able to do the things she wants to do and does not feel pressured or worried in any way. There are always activities for the residents during the day and the staff make every effort to keep them varied. The Elms really is a gem.
My sister has been made most welcome in The Elms after transferring from another residential home which was over 90 miles away from me. I am now able to visit on a regular basis. On her arrival, it took some time to settle in due to her dementia but the staff have been so patient, kind, and caring, and they have found the best ways to help her with her needs. The Elms have activities for her to enjoy especially singing and dancing and I have seen her dancing away on their social media page. I can thoroughly recommend the home.
