View Full Details of Field HouseMy mother moved into Field House end of 2024 has settled in well enjoys life in the home. It is lovely seeing her joining in the activities, care staff seem to know each individual resident to meeting their individual needs. We have seen mum flourish in many ways since being here. Thank you all.
Field House feels warm friendly and inclusive. My dad says "the food is lovely and there is plenty of it". Everywhere is clean and fresh. My dad also says that he finds it interesting as there is always something to do. Everybody who works at Field House is helpful approachable and kind. My dad feels supported and reassured I feel exactly the same and so do the rest of the family. Thank you to everyone at Field House for doing such a fantastic job of looking after my dad.
Mum came into Field House for respite with the view to staying permanently, she settled well and has been a resident for 6 months. The staff and carers are very supportive and caring especially in the late afternoon when mum is usually unsettled due to her dementia. Mum gets on well with the carers they bring out the cheeky side of her. Mum's room is always clean and tidy. She is eating well and has put on weight which is good. The home is local so easy for the family to visit. Mum is well looked after and cared for.
A very positive experience, my Mum stayed for nearly 3 weeks for respite. It was lovely and homely, with lovely rooms. The staff was very caring and the food was good. If Mum has to go back I would not hesitate to send her to Field House. 5*!
Warm, welcoming and loving environment. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful, and the home is small enough to be so friendly and feels like a family, not a care home. Highly recommend this place and commend all the wonderful staff. Grateful to have found it. My sister is so happy and relaxed now, truly a relief and less worried about her future well-being.
Mum has been a resident for several months now, and on the numerous visits I have made, I can see that she is being well looked after by the conscientious staff, who it appears to me are working hard with limited numbers. I am always greeted with a smile and an answer should I have any queries. Mum isn’t one for getting out of her room too often but does enjoy going downstairs when Elvis serenades the residents. I know when I leave that she will be in good hands, and thank the staff for their hard efforts.
Field House has welcomed my mum into the care home so warmly. My mum has settled so nicely with the help of all the care staff, who have been very kind and helpful. Although Mum doesn't leave her room very often, the staff take time to have a chat with her and Mum says regularly that she is happy there, which is the most important thing.
Everyone at Field House is absolutely wonderful. Our experience of having my aunt here has been extremely beneficial to her health and well being! The staff always greet us and residents with such love and care. It’s a lovely place and the employees are even more lovely.
Dad has been at Field House Care Home for five months and has settled well. He is safe, well cared for, well fed, warm and joins in all the social activities on offer. Unfortunately, he had covid recently but the care he received was wonderful. He commented he was being waited on hand and foot whilst being kept in isolation. The carers certainly went the extra mile during that time for which we are very grateful. Thank you.
Unfortunately Dad recently had covid and had to isolate in his room. The care, help and support he received was fantastic. He told us he was well looked after, knowing he had the illness and that he had to stay in his room, although we understand that was a challenge due to his dementia. The family say a big thank you to the wonderful team.
The care that is given to my mum is fantastic. My mum is 93, lives on her own with her TV for mental stability. She has fallen a few times which each time she has been taken to hospital. Mum has vacant moments of short-term memory so visiting at home was talking to yourself or a small interaction from Mum. Now updates I have my mum back. Mum has changed due to the care and attention that Field House provided from all the staff. Mum interacts in activities, loves the food and sleeps like a log. Has the hairdresser every week and Mum tells me and my brother that nothing is too mych trouble for the staff if you need them. We are truly thankful Mum is there.
My mum has been at Field House for nearly a year now. Consistently, my mum has been given respect and dignity, and her independence has been promoted. She has been very unwell on several occasions during this period, requiring support from the emergency services. Staff at Field House facilitated the intensive care needs that she required faultlessly. Their communication skills allowed us to feel confident and assured us that all was being taken care of. They work effectively, efficiently, and confidently with the doctor's surgery and district nursing team so that Mum can receive the right care when she needs it. There is nothing that the caring staff will not do for Mum. This week Mum became very unwell, and it highlighted to my family what angels all of the staff are from the management, domestics, maintenance, kitchen staff, senior care staff, activities, and carers. They all work and support one another in order to give the best level of care to my Mum and to myself over this period.
Mum came to live at Field House in June last year. I spoke to and visited many care homes as it's a huge responsibility to get the next home right. Staff and management at Field House have ensured Mum is safe and looked after. She has enjoyed days out and visitors into the home and takes part in activities on offer. I am kept up to day by phone if Mum is poorly etc.
The main thing about this home is the lovely atmosphere. It really feels like a proper home. The staff do an amazing job and one always kind and friendly.
My father, aged 94, came into Field House for respite as my husband and I were going to visit our daughter in Canada. When we arrived back in the UK in March 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic was raging, so we thought it would be best if my father stayed at Field House. He has been there a year now and will most likely remain. The atmosphere in the house is lovely and not clinical. The staff are kind and caring and look after my father well. He really does get the 24/7 care he now needs, which we were struggling to provide and he seems happy.
The care team are always supportive and helpful to us both and to mum. They show empathy and kindness. The rooms and bedroom suites have everything required. They are beginning to look a little tired in the decor. Once covid restrictions have been lifted, one would hope this will be addressed. Mum is being cared for very well despite recent difficult issues of care.
My mother urgently needed a few weeks respite prior to moving to a local care home and Field House were perfect. Many thanks to all the staff and management.
Staff are kind and very helpful.
During each stay, I have been treated with the most care and respect from all your staff. The only problem I had was food. As I have very complex and multiple health issues my food and drink timing and types of food can be a problem. It is not always easy to explain to the staff concerned with the handling of this requirement which is important with taking my medication.
When the family could no longer properly look after mum's needs at home she came to stay at Field House. She is extremely well looked after and the staff are really caring and patient. I did have my reservations about mum going into a care home but I now realise that she is being well looked after and her care is better than anyone of us in the family could provide.
