View Full Details of Greenhill HouseOutstanding Care & Exceptional Staff! I can't say enough good things about Greenhill House. From our first visit, we knew it was the right place for Dad. The staff are truly fantastic-kind, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure he feels comfortable and well cared for. The administration process was seamless, making what could have been a stressful transition incredibly smooth. The communication from the team is excellent-they keep us informed at all times, whether it's about Dad's well-being, activities, or any updates. It gives us real peace of mind knowing he is in such good hands. Most importantly, Dad is so happy here! He enjoys the wonderful atmosphere, the engaging activities, and the warm company of both staff and residents. It's a joy to see him thriving in a place that truly feels like home. We are beyond grateful to Greenhill House and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and professional environment for their loved ones.
All the staff are always cheerful and helpful. They tell me how mum has been when I am entering the home so I am forewarned, which I appreciate. I am also made very welcome whenever I visit. As mum has difficulties swallowing tablets they contacted the doctor to arrange easier tablets and liquids. Lastly words from my mum " they are very kind".
In choosing a care home for my 85 year old sister, we viewed five local establishments. Greenhill House was prominent. My sister moved into Greenhill late Nov. 2024. Whilst we may have had some initial scepticism, this was short lived. We have found every member of management and staff to be professional, attentive - obliging. The premises are clean to a high standard and the food of good quality. My sister has settled in well and enjoys being there. You are to be congratulated in running an excellent home.
I very much appreciate the team approach at Greenhill. The carers, admin, laundry and kitchen staff all show great concern and interest in both me and my husband. The young lady employed to manage activities is always positive and encouraging. I visit Greenhill most days and find most of the staff showing a high standard of respect to the residents. However I am most concerned at the continual rising costs and worry that I will no longer be able to afford the care of my husband.
My brother has been in Greenhill for some 4 years + we visit when we can + have always found the details as ratings show.
Such a caring team. always attentive and friendly. Nothing seems too much for them. My parents have improved both mentally and physically since they were both admitted.
Staff are very friendly, welcoming, supportive and kind. The cafe my parents are receiving is second to none. Every need is being taken care of and nothing is too much trouble. They have gone from surviving at home to thriving with care.
My husband has only been at Greenhill seven weeks and I feel happy about the care he's getting. I can go home and not worry about him too much.
Greenhill House care home has treated both of my parents with dignity and kindness. They have both gone from surviving to thriving. Their rooms are beautifully clean and the staff are skilled at care and support. They also have supported me as well as my parents during this very difficult time of transition to residential care from a home they lived in for the last 55 years.
Very nice home, clean, modern comfortable with friendly attentive staff. I have seen lots of residential homes and this is the best one I have seen. Everybody seemed comfortable there and well looked after.
My mum was resident in Greenhill House for nearly four years during which time she was really well cared for by the manager and her team. She had a lovely clean, well decorated room and went down in to the communal lounge everyday for her meals, company and to participate in the activities which were put on every day, keeping her stimulated and entertained. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, not only to the residents but also to the family and other visitors. They would always make time to stop for a chat and take an interest.
Lovely, friendly and helpful staff throughout. Always greeted with a smile whenever I have visited. Staff really enjoy their job and care deeply for all the residents. Have never not been greeted with a smile in the two-plus years of visiting.
My dad has lived at Greenhill House since June 2021. I feel very lucky to have found such a lovely care home for him. Before he moved in, Dad was reclusive and lonely and suffered from low mood but since moving into Greenhill he has become sociable and content. The decor of Dad's room is very pleasant and it is always spotlessly clean. He appreciates having an ensuite bathroom. The staff are compassionate and caring and care is tailored to the individual. Dad enjoys the varied activities provided by the very enthusiastic activities coordinator. I always feel welcome when I visit. Staff keep me updated and are always happy to answer questions. Greenhill has an excellent manager. There is a lovely atmosphere at Greenhill. Staff are always striving to improve the quality of life for residents. Now that Covid restrictions are easing, they are aiming to arrange more trips out. I would recommend Greenhill to anyone.
My mum died recently after having spent about three years in the lovely surroundings of Greenhill House. Mum suffered from dementia and throughout her stay, the care which she received from the staff was the best we could have wished for. At the end, my sister and I were able to stay with Mum so that she had both her family and Greenhill 'family' with her when she passed peacefully away. The kindness and compassion of the team to all of us were so appreciated. The staff who looked after Mum throughout her time at Greenhill have been caring and dedicated. Management and communication are excellent.
My dad died recently in Greenhill after being a resident for about five years. He was always cared for with respect and kindness. It was a hard decision for my mum for him to go into Greenhill permanently, and being a proud man, he found it hard too. All the staff spent time with him doing puzzles and talking to him and allowed him to walk inside and out day and night. During the last few days of his life, we were able to stay with him and the care that both he received and we received was exceptional. I would have no doubt in recommending Greenhill to anyone.
My Mum and Dad moved into Greenhill House about three years ago, when they were both in their early nineties. They began their stay in a beautiful flat with its own small kitchen and lounge. The views from the windows were of the hills above Cheddar. They were helped to live as independently as they wished, with help always on hand when they needed it. My Mum developed dementia and the staff were very supportive of my Father as well as giving my Mum all the extra love and care she needed. The staff were more like family members than carers and both my parents were very fond of the staff. Unfortunately, my Mum passed away after a fall and a short hospital stay. Dad was devastated, but the staff rallied around him and supported him until his own passing this May. He had been hospitalised for a time but wanted to return to Greenhill House. The Hospital and Greenhill worked together to make this possible. We cannot praise Greenhill staff highly enough for their dedication. Thank you!
Greenhill House has been home to both of my parents for a number of years. The suite they had enabled them to continue to be together although Mother suffered from Dementia. The friendship and care they received was exemplary and I can not speak highly enough of the Manager and her team. When Mum died 2 years ago, Dad moved into a lovely single room with garden access. The support of the staff was excellent, and he looked upon all of them as his family. Covid has been an extremely difficult time for Dad, our family, and not forgetting the Care Home staff themselves. Sadly Dad’s health deteriorated recently, and after several weeks in hospital was placed on end of life care. His one wish was to be able to return to Greenhill House to die, and the wonderful Manager and staff made his wish come true. He passed away happy to be with his friends and ‘ family’ “. My parents and our family have never had any reason to complain, and I can’t speak highly enough of the wonderful team. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the dedicated care you gave to my mother, particularly during the difficult period caused by the pandemic. My sister and I are truly grateful for you making it possible for us to be by her side during her final moments. I know that she has been happy and comfortable during these past years thanks to all of you.
My cousin lived at Greenhill House for a couple of years prior to his death in June 2021. During his time there he was looked after with a great deal of love and care, and was given unstintingly the significant level of attention and support he needed at that time. It was abundantly clear to us, on the occasions when we were able to visit, that he was treated, along with all the other residents, with great respect, making the House a real home for all of them and according them the dignity they deserved. The accommodation is of a very high standard, and, more importantly, the atmosphere was positive, happy and welcoming. We are very grateful to the manager and staff for all they did for him, and thereby for us his family.
Greenhill House cared for my wife, three days per week (2019) and full-time residential care 2020 - to date. They have been meticulous in their support of her needs and kept me advised of all her activities while maintaining a homely and lovely surrounding. Well done everyone.
