I have always found the staff very helpful and friendly. Am always kept advised about my mother and feel relaxed knowing she is being cared for. Renovations that have been done are very good. Would highly recommend the home. Have no worries as am so pleased with how her care is being handled.
We have always been very happy with the care Mum has received at Sunnymeade and would thoroughly recommend to anyone.
Our mother is settled and happy. Her accommodation is clean and well-presented. The staff are friendly and helpful - always welcoming when family visit.
I visit Mum as often as possible, as I live a long journey away, on all my visits Mum always looks happy and healthy, she is always nicely dressed and her hair looks lovely. Mum has regular visits to the hairdressers which she enjoys. Mum always has a good choice of meals The staff are always very helpful and friendly and there if needed. The home as a whole has a nice friendly feel about it.
Friendly, welcoming environment, staff are happy and caring. Mum is happy and healthy, which puts our minds at rest. Mum enjoys the excellent food and entertainment as well as sitting quietly looking at the garden flowers, birds and squirrels from her lounge.
Very happy with Mum's respite stay, right from the preliminary visit to discharge. All staff we met were kind and conscientious. Lovely welcome with flowers and a card. Room provided all that was needed, peace and quiet, a view onto the garden but easy access to the communal area where people can make their own drinks and snacks and so maintain some independence. Pleasant laid-back atmosphere. Mum enjoyed having hair and nails done, as well as the activities she attended. She loved having baths, and a warm drink each night, a real treat. Can't fault communication with Sunnymeade during her stay, staff easily accessible and very reassuring. They were extremely understanding and patient, which allowed us some relaxation time. We knew Mum was in good hands.
Very pleased with the staff in Sunnymeade; they are very good. The only complaint I have is with the food, which is very poor. Also, they come into my room at 6 am. I don't have any medication from them, but they still come in to wake me up, sometimes during the night as well.
My husband is in Sunnymeade and is happy he gets on well with the other people in the home. His only point is the food quality, which is not good. They have two choices at lunchtime, one being vegan, which older people do not like. They'd prefer food that they have had all their lives (meat and veg), not a new fashion, which is tasteless and bland. The staff are great and look after him well.
It is very nice here, and all the staff are very good to me.
Well cared for.
Quiet friendly. Very nice staff. The food is very nice.
Ok food. Ok care. I love everything here.
I was very down, and I think it saved my life coming here.
Very caring staff. Quite happy!
My mother goes to daycare at Sunnmeade three days, sooner to be four days per well. It is so good for her mental welfare. Mum has settled in well and really enjoys all the activities. She has made friendly and loves meeting up for chats, coffee and biscuits. The staff are brilliant and bring out the best in Mum. I cannot praise the staff enough. She enjoys the lunches too, and they accommodate her small appetite. Everything is bright and welcoming.
My mum has been well looked after at Sunnmeade for ten years now. On Tuesday 27th December, she celebrated reaching 100 years of age, and the care home provided an outstanding birthday team for Mum and 16 guests. One particular care worker was brilliant in ensuring everyone, including Mum, was well catered for at the tea.
Staff friendly, helpful, hardworking and professional. Good facilities, happy and peaceful caring atmosphere. Open, bright and airy.
Welcoming and helpful. We were shown the room available. They listened and understood my husband's disability and the help he would need. He has received all the care he needs. He enjoys all his meals.
My sister has daycare four times per week. She has fitted in well and seems to enjoy the afternoon and activities, particularly being pampered with manicures and hairdressing. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. I am confident she is well looked after whilst in Sunnymeade care. As she is not a resident, I can only review what is relevant to her.
Since the end of the strict Covid restrictions, the activities seem to have increased, allowing residents to spend more time in social groups rather than being in their individual rooms. This is far better for those who wish to join in.
